Your loss. Read that book all you want. We'll be having a ball out here while you are perpetually insecure worrying about some imaginary friend in the sky.
We have prime rib, poker and cheap living every night.
I guess you are "better" than me? ROFLMAO!

Their is no loss in wanting to spend eternity in heaven. You will be burning in the fires of hell in eternal damnation.
Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth
Proverbs 19:25 Smite a scorner, and the simple will beware: and reprove one that hath understanding, and he will understand knowledge.
Ezekiel 16:14 And thy renown went forth among the heathen for thy beauty: for it was perfect through my comeliness, which I had put upon thee, saith the Lord GOD.
Proverbs 6:25 Lust not after her beauty in thine heart; neither let her take thee with her eyelids.
Genesis 24:16 And the damsel was very fair to look upon, a virgin, neither had any man known her: and she went down to the well, and filled her pitcher, and came up.

I eat prime rib, hubby drinks beer. As for poker, why gamble?
You're the one who came into a Christian board to tell us how much better you are than us. We didn't go to your website.

I am not some cheap trash whore that you hang around with. I have never met you and never will.
I will remind you of this Bible quote
Matthew 5
28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
Would you like your sinning "member" cut off!

Larry, you do know what Omniscient means, yes?
If you do, what you trotted out in the first quote above is an old and tired atheist argument along the same lines as "Can God make a rock so big He cannot lift it." As such I cannot see you as being very sophisticated.

Yes Pastor, I am confident that I do know what "omniscient" means.
Let's start with a simple dictionary definition:
Quote:
1. having complete or unlimited knowledge, awareness, or understanding; perceiving all things.
|
Then we'll reinforce the "secular" description with (the relevant) scripture you quoted:
Quote:
1 Sam. 2:3 God is the God of knowledge. He knows everything.
1 Sam. 16:7; Acts 1:24; 15:8; Rom. 8:27; 1 Cor. 3:20 God knows a man's heart (cf. 1 Ki. 8:39; 2 Ch. 6:30).
1 Ch. 28:9 God searches the heart and understands all the intent of the thoughts (cf. 2 Ch. 16:9; Heb. 4:12).
Matt. 6:32 God knows all our needs.
Matt. 10:29 Nothing happens apart from God's will (cf. Jas. 4:13-16).
Acts 2:23 Jesus was delivered to the Jews to be crucified by the determined counsel and foreknowledge of God.
Matt. 24:36 No one but God knows the day and hour of judgment.
|
Quote:
So where do you get this about Him knowing the future? Perhaps you get it from Matt. 10:29 (above)? But if it is His Will, it is not surprising that it will happen is it?
|
Um, I "get this about him knowing the future" from the above dictionary description and the scripture you quoted. You know, this gets more strange and twisted as we go.
Of course it isn't "surprising that it will happen" if it's HIS will!! That's my entire point here!!!
Let's reduce this to a much simpler question:
If Jesus were still alive today, could I surprise him with a birthday present, or would he already know what it was?

You've asked the same question a hundred different ways, our answer is not going to change. Why do you think that we know God's mind? I don't know God's mind any more than an ant knows mine. Does an ant understand why I burnt it out of it's home? Why did I burn the nest close to the house and not the one at the end of the property? Ants would consider me extremely unfair for not treating them equally. In fact the ants at the end of the property could be rather "evil" in the eyes of other ants.
We can't tell you why God does this or that, we can't tell you why good things happen to bad people. It's beyond us. I'm sorry that you're angry at God, I don't know what happened in your life to make you so angry, but we can't fix it. You have to take your issues up with HIM.
Yes God knew they would eat from the tree. Why did he go ahead and put the tree in there anyway? I don't know.

Such a fine retort there Larry, will you answer one for me, please.
I notice you waited on line here from 4:34 pm when Brother EB posted the question until 7:36 pm when you decided to reply. Did that have anything to do with Brother EB signing off at 7:15 pm, you aren't that clever friend.
1 Chronicles 16:15
Be ye mindful always of his covenant; the word which he commanded to a thousand generations ... an everlasting covenant.
Proverbs 30:5,6: Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.
