Though maybe it's just because that's the way that it would be normal to explain his attributes? We don't really know what he is like. So it would just be easier to make him a man.

As usual, you have it exactly backwards.

Man was created in God's image (Genesis 1:27). It's not that God has the attributes of mankind; it's that mankind has many of the attributes of God. (But no idea what you mean by "just yellow.")

We know what God is like. We know by reading the Bible. He tells us.

I've heard people complain about the length of the Bible before, but if you quit before finishing Genesis 1, there's not a lot of hope for you.

Our God is not an ethical God. He creates good and evil. He does good things and also terrible cruel things (like giving cancer to a three year old).


Our God is NOT a moral example. He gives us moral rules to follow, that's a fact, but He is above and beyond all rules of ethical behavior.
