Please Pray for Religious Freedom! -
06-11-2012, 07:52 AM
Friends, you know I'm not a political person, but the LORD has put it on my heart to pray for those in North Dakota. You see, in a few days they have the opportunity to vote for the North Dakota Religious Freedom Initiative that is coming up. This law would protect the religious freedoms of True Christians™ to follow the letter of the Holy Bible without fear of legal persecution. The ballot reads in part:
Quote:
Government may not burden a person’s or religious organization’s religious liberty. The right to act or refuse to act in a manner motivated by a sincerely held religious belief may not be burdened unless the government proves it has a compelling governmental interest in infringing the specific act or refusal to act and has used the least restrictive means to further that interest. A burden includes indirect burdens such as withholding benefits, assessing penalties, or an exclusion from programs or access to facilities.
|
[bolding mine]
I'm sure our own True Christian™ police force in Freehold would excuse a lady driving through a red light to get to church on time, but not every one is so blessed. However, this isn't about a pesky ticket or even a manslaughter charge should an unfortunate accident occur, this is about practicing the Christian Faith the way God Almighty Himself intends for us to practice it: Without condition, without reservation (Deuteronomy 10:12). Friends my heart is just so heavy for those who are burdened by legal persecutions from being able to practice their sincerely held faith. Having to treat homosexuals and shrimp eaters like normal people when the Holy Bible clearly tells us how God hates them is an emotional and religious burden no American should have to tolerate. How can one be truly free if one has to suppress what the Bible clearly commands them to do for fear of breaking the law?
I humbly ask you to join me in praying for our friends in North Dakota, that they would vote in such a way as to please our LORD.
Dear Jesus,
We just praise your Holy Name. We just know we can trust You Jesus because You are faithful. We just acknowledge your promise to be faithful, Heavenly Father. We just lift up our needs to you LORD and offer you these prayers for the faithful in North Dakota. Oh LORD, we just pray that Your Holy Ghost would work a mighty force in the state, and provide true religious freedoms for True Christians™. Jesus, we know that You can turn this country around and make it the land of the free once again. We just come to you in humility and obedience to ask you to compel those voters to vote for Religious Freedom for Your Glory.
In Jesus' Name we pray.
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

Sister, I'm joining in you in prayer for this Amendment.
Imagine poor Widow Helen having to sell her pie to lesbians instead of just to normal women picking up a dessert for their husbands? The horror!
And what if she reopened her bed and breakfast and found that homosexuals wanted to stay there? She'd be promoting sodomy by providing the location for it!
And look at what our police have to do. When a woman is raped, they are required by law to arrest the perpetrator . . . and instead of having him marry the temptress, they put him in prison!
Is it any wonder our society is crumbling?
Bible boring? Nonsense!

Sister--That was such a beautiful prayer, I called my Mayor friend in North Dakota and read it to him. I heard him trying not to let me know he was tearing up.
But, then he called me this morning to tell me the bad news. The Devil himself interviened and convinced voters to reject the measure.
There has to be something fishy going on there. People do not simply go the the polls and reject religious freedom, they always do the opposite.
My friend is so upset he says he is going to leave that State. I told him he could move to Freehold--but to be honest, I'm not sure I want another experienced Mayor living here.

Yes, I agree that there should be religious freedom, but the bible makes it perfectly clear that we are to be persecuted for our beliefs. I wouldn't be surprised if they eventually made it illegal to use Jesus's name in anything, except in naming a mexican.

Do you think that there should be religious freedom for everybody whether they are Christian, Muslim, Jewish, and what about Atheists, do they have the same rights as Christians?

Well, considering the muslim and the jew have more rights than Christians, I think you're question is rather silly. And as far as atheists, do you think catholic priests ought to have the "right" to rape children, too?

How do Muslims have more rights when they are constantly targeted by the government for being terrorists and they can't wear their religious robes in fear of being attacked.
What catholic priests raping children has to do with the right to be atheist, I'll never understand, please enlighten me. No I do not think that priests, or anyone else for that matter should have the right to rape children or anyone else for that matter.

Well, for one thing, they get to sing kwanza songs public schools in December but if a child mentions Christmas they'll bet suspended. For another, they are allowed freedom of speech when Christians are persecuted for the same thing. They do their " honor killing" tradition when their daughters flaunt their lady bumps under tight clothes, but a Christian father disciplines his daughter and the cops are called forthwith. It's an enormous double standard and it's only getting worse with the current president.

Considering atheists have no morals, what "rights" should they have that they don't already have? No one has the right to do whatever they want, so what are the atheists complaining about anyway? That's what I'd like to know.

Stalin built a whole system built on atheism. When you take God away you end up with Siberian death camps.

All muslims are crazy. You'd have to be to believe God sent an illiterate idiot into a cave to recite some silly theology. Christianity, on the other hand, is a proven religion. Nothing made up there. We have mountains of evidence that prove Paul's vision of God that no one else could see was a real event. And yet when Christians lovingly point this out, they get persecuted. It makes me tear up just thinking about it.

Good! Because we agree with you that all public schools should have mandatory Christian prayer, and that Muslims should be exterminated for engaging in honor killings.
But here we have a problem:
Quote:
with that being said christians that taunted muslims should be reprimanded just like if a muslim attacked or killed a christian
|
If a Christian makes fun of a Muslim, he should have the same punishment as a Muslim who kills a Christian?!
Christians telling Muslims they are going to Hell are simply speaking the truth! But they should be "reprimanded"?
Murderous Muslims attacking and killing Christians should have a stern talking to?
Why are you such a hate-filled, bigoted monster?

Of course not. Those are all false religions. Religious freedom is reserved for True Christianity™.

Deuteronomy 13:6-10
If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers; Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth; Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him: But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people. And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die.
2 Chronicles 15:13
Whosoever would not seek the LORD God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.
