Oh, I'm glad you're not one of these "The Old Testament doesn't count" Christians! Psalms are so lovely! They teach us that all atheists are fools (Psalm 14:1), that the Bible is perfect (Psalm 19:7), that some people are wicked already in the womb (Psalm 58:3), that God gives riches to those whom He loves (Psalm 115:14), that it is OK to kill heathen babies (Psalm 137:9), that it is OK to hate those whom God hates with righteous hate (Psalm 139:21-22), et cetera, et cetera, et cetera, I could just keep going.

I think my favorite is what Jesus said against all that false propaganda that He is all about love and peace:
Matthew 10:34-36
34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.
It really shows Jesus' character, doesn't it?

Why would you want to lose your faith? What would you put your faith in instead, the Homosexual Agenda?
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

I do not WANT to lose my faith, but life has been rough. I am starting to question God's plan for me. I know, it's horrible, and it makes me no better than a nonbeliever. This is why I need your help.

Dear, no matter how God is testing you, you have to endure it.
Who knows - maybe He's torturing you just because He's betting on your life with the devil just like He was playing torturing Job:
Job 1:6-12
6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them.
7 And the Lord said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.
8 And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?
9 Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought?
10 Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.
11 But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face.
12 And the Lord said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord.
So Satan went and killed Job's family and took away his wealth and gave him the worst imaginable sicknesses, and together with God they observed Job's reactions to all that. I'm sure it was very pleasing for God to see Job praising Him while he was suffering.
If your situation is similar, if God and the devil are playing with your health and happiness just because they are bored and have nothing better to do at the moment, would you seriously want the devil to win that bet?!?

Well dear, it seems to me if you don't want to lose your faith, stop paying attention to the devil whispering doubts into your ear. Fear and obedience is why you were created (Ecclesiastes 12:13), not emotional connection.

So life has been rough, waa waa, boo hoo. Tell me Mathias, what country do you live in? I presume you reside here in the Godly USA. Has Jesus, President Trump and your presumably weak-willed, yet God-fearing parents not given you enough love and attention that you feel the necessary to come God's Favorite Church to complain?
Questioning the Lord's Plan only leads to the Devil and sin. If you'd stop being a crybaby sissy and get right with the LORD, you will find yourself in the Book of Life!
Mark 16: 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
Hebrews 11: 6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.

I think I lost my faith once.
Or was it my keys?
Oh, the keys. Yes, it was the keys. I have never lost my faith. My bad.
But from time to time I think I have to strengthen my relationship with God. So I read one of my favorite passages:
1 Samuel 15:3 Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.
It makes me feel powerful. Those Amaleki (sp?) had it coming.
Specially those infants!
1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the TRUMP of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first.

Why have you come to God's Favorite Church to complain? Read the Bible, and pray daily.

I have felt the endless love of this forum, and with prayer, bible study and doing God's will, I have found the meaning of life: TO PRAISE GOD.

Not to be pedantic, dear, but the meaning of life specifically is to Fear God and obey Him (Ecclesiastes 12:13). In any case, I'm glad you have seen the scales drop from your eyes and have come to consider Redemption!

Oh PRAISE JESUS \o/
While it surely seems a quick change of events, nothing is impossible with God (Luke 1:37). Friend, the Holy Spirit is like a magnet, drawing men to Christ. Jesus desires you very much. He longs for you. He watches over you all the time, watching all the moves you make. He knows the very hairs on your head (Luke 12:7). He stands at your door and knocks (Revelation 3:20). He is like a friendly stalker, when you stop and think about it.
There is, therefore, no reason to ever lose faith in Him because He will NEVER lose faith in YOU. He promised to be with us until the very end of this world (Matthew 28:20). Dear friend, I am so pleased that my prayers were the reason you found your faith again.
Let me give you a quick tip! Keep that faith locked inside your heart, and you'll never lose it again. Now get to reading that Bible and begin attending a Bible believing Baptist church every time the doors are open. Pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18).
I will continue to lift you high to the perch of prayer, God's Throne.
In His Love,
BrotherLarry

Amen, brother Larry, that is absolutely correct.
And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. (John 10:28)
If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself. (2 Timothy 2:13)
To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you (1 Peter 1:4)
Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, to the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen. (Jude 1:24-25)
