[Meek and Humble]

What is "Anglish" you ask? Anglish is a scrithing (movement) to cleanse the English tongue of ALL outland (foreign) taken from words! Bethinking (Considering) the great rise of "English-only" in the Banded Folkdoms of Americksland (United States of America), I think we need also call to mind that English itself has been struck by outland words (mostly as long as of the smelly French and dirty Wallandish [Italians]). Now, it will take a while to cleanse all of our words, since the strike has been going on for almost a thousand years. But in the meantime, this thread can be handled to practice our Anglish.

Jesus is to be called not Christ, but the Chosen One. Instead of Kingdom of God, say Rike of God. He was not crucified, but roodfastened, under the Romer Headman Pontius Pilate.

What would you replace them with though?
I'd suggest using Scottish words myself. The perfect incomprehensibility would really wipe the smugness off their pompous 'coupons'.
