TRUE Christians, I need your help about Jesus' hair! -
11-20-2015, 06:23 PM
I am beside myself in trying to explain 1 Corinthians 11:14 away from it's actual truth relative to our Lord's appearance. The hell bound Atheists shove this passage in my face all the time and I don't have a cogent godly response to it, and still look intelligent looking in the aftermath.
I would appreciate any Christian apologetics that I may be missing on this situation. Thanking you in advance.

Dear Friend,
Jesus is God (John 10:30). God GIVES commandments for US to follow.
1 John 5:2
By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
We keep the commandments to become pleasing in the eyes of Jesus and gain a ticket to Heavenly Joys. Jesus as God needs no such voucher. As God He is the Creator of the Commandments. Do the police or Godly American soldiers follow the orders of not to kill? No, they see that WE follow the orders. It is the same thing with us and Jesus but the difference is much wider.
Jesus as God is beyond all this atheist trickery (Exodus 3:14). If your atheist persecutors fail to realize this, they'll eventually know it - soon - during the imminent Rapture.
Revelation 17:14
These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.
Yours in Christ,
Elmer

In the Book Revelation 1:14 we see that Yeshua had hair like wool and it was white. That's because he had naps like me. I do not know if he wore dreadlocks but his hair probably turned white from having to suffer under the Romans who were white men.
Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: Extol him that rideth upon the heavens By his name JAH, and rejoice before him.-Psalms 68:4

I Man Rastafari,
Thank you for your astute biblical knowledge, but it still doesn't address Jesus' hair length, even when being white and wiry. Maybe the Landover Baptist Church hierarchy needs to bring forth a campaign to notify all artists that when depicting Jesus' hair length in paintings, to show a shorter hairdo or buzz cut to save face relative to 1 Corinthians 11:14 .
In our hung Savior's name,
Brother D.

Friend, you do realize that the image in your OP is not an actual photograph of Jesus? We don't know how long His hair was.
As Brother White explained, it is entirely possible that Jesus had special dispensation from His Father (and Himself) if He DID have long hair. Who are you to say that He did not?
Better to focus on the image of an empty cross when witnessing and testify of an eternal misery for the God-mockers that refuse our Saviour's gift of temporary death and ascension. The price He paid!!

Brother Porter,
You're correct about the picture not being our Savior because we truly don't know what He looked like, but we true Christians tend
to make Jesus into something that we want Him to be. I have even seen paintings of Jesus with blue eyes, a white complexion, and yes, long blond hair.
For those accustomed to traditional Sunday school portraits of Jesus as depicted above, would be aghast in an actual dark and swarthy
Middle Eastern man that would emerge from Jesus' true Semite roots. Mums the word.
In the name of the hung Savior,
Brother D.

Basilissa,
My dear, I will look the other way in the fact that you as a 2nd class women is speaking to a superior man, myself, like you have done. Since Landover Baptist is a church, and these forums represent said church, you’re not to speak to me, but remain silent! “But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp the authority over man, but to be in silence.” (Timothy 2:12)
That being said, another apologetic proposition would be that Yahweh was of the Hebrew people and was provincial only to Israel in his “coming out” party approximately 6000 years ago. Therefore, Jesus was made in Yahweh’s image of Hebrew decent (Genesis 1:27). Mary, also being of Semitic ancestry like Yahweh's, gives further credence to Jesus being dark and swarthy because of her Semite roots.
It really matters not what color or decent our Jesus was or wasn’t because He saves all of mankind subsequent to his 3 day tomb death, even the assumed hell bound Atheists.
In the name of the hung Savior,
Brother D. Thomas

Dear Friend,
As you are a potential Saved person but still ignorant in many issues, it is my duty to remind you that it is necessary to exhibit proper humility and subservience to all True Christians™, also our Ladies who show remarkable talents in Bible Study for mere women. I can personally guarantee that no True Christian™ Lady is here without the permission of her husband, father or other Saved male relative and that it is the duty of us True Christian™ men to chastise our women, it is not the duty of our guests.
Paul himself discussed Church business with some females, who did not teach but could give valuable insights regarding lunch menus, tableware, and attire.
1 Corinthians 16:19
The churches of Asia salute you. Aquila and Priscilla salute you much in the Lord, with the church that is in their house.
Yours in Christ,
Elmer

Beloved Brother Thomas,
As Brother Elmer has rightfully pointed out, I have not been teaching you (in order for me to teach you'd have to be learning, and as the latter part of the post shows, you haven't learned anything), nor usurping authority over you (I have no way of doing it over the internet anyway), just providing some housekeeping insights.

We all due respect Mr. Elmer G. White, yes, I am a guest and a member, but of our God Yahweh as well whose scripture trumps all. When our Hebrew God’s word states with specificity that the Sisters of Eve are to remain SILENT and are not to usurp the authority over man, then in fact to this godly notion, Basilissa stepped over the bounds of biblical doctrine.
When I proselytize in cities and towns, and a gathering shows up, I always pass around the Gorilla Tape to be placed upon the 2nd class woman’s mouth as per Timothy 2:12 to make sure she remains SILENT, therefore respecting what Yahweh expects of her.
“And I find more bitter than death the woman, whose heart is snares and nets, and her hands as bands: whoso pleaseth God shall escape from her; but the sinner shall be taken by her.” (Ecclesiastes 7:26)

1. Please show me the Bible verse that says women need to be silent at all times outside of church (and please note that this forum is NOT a church, it just belongs to a church).
2. How do you even know if my mouth is moving and if a sound is leaving my lips? FYI: I usually keep silent when typing. It helps me to concentrate.
3. I'm not a "Sister" of Eve, I'm not that old, you know.
4. I'm lifting my prayers for you, dear.

Sister of Eve, Basilissa,
My dear, I did check out the thread in question, hence the term " …. another apologetic proposition…" was inferred.
If I can be frank, and you remain Basilissa, then instead of you being within these forums, don't you have womanly duties to perform for the superior man in your life?
At what point do you stop slapping Jesus in the face relative to the scriptures towards the 2nd class women? Disgraceful to say the least.
In the name of the hung Savior,
Brother D. Thomas

You did check it, and you were not swayed by the Bible-based arguments presented there?
I'll keep praying for you, but it seems to me that you might be one of these 2 Thessalonians 2:11-12 folks.

Have you heard the story of Martha and Mary, dear?
It is in the Holy Bible:
Luke 10:38-42
38 Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.
39 And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word.
40 But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.
41 And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:
42 But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.
I hope that was helpful, dear. Not in a teaching way, just plain helpful.

Basilissa, a true Sister of Eve,
1. Please show me the Bible verse that says women need to be silent at all times outside of church (and please note that this forum is NOT a church, it just belongs to a church).
Basilissa, you answered your own question in that these forums belong to a church, hence, they’re one in the same! Barring this fact, part and parcel to Timothy 2:12 is for you to NOT usurp the authority over man in any way whatsoever.
2. How do you even know if my mouth is moving and if a sound is leaving my lips? FYI: I usually keep silent when typing. It helps me to concentrate.
My dear, the term SILENCE relative to 2nd class women is to be taken in words spoken, typed, or any thought that usurps the superior man, period. Yahweh knows the minutest details of your life, for He mentions even knowing when you lose a single hair (Matthew 10:29-30). Not only does our Hebrew God of the Christian faith know everything that will occur with you until your demise (Isaiah 46:9-10), but He also knows your very thoughts, even before you speak them! (Psalm 139:4).
3. I'm not a "Sister" of Eve, I'm not that old, you know.
Basilissa, dear, if you do the simple math, you are in fact a sister of the first woman ever to be made from a man’s rib. All women are sisters of Eve and in the same vein, all superior men are brothers of Adam.
4. I'm lifting my prayers for you, dear.
You can lift your prayers above Heaven until the cows come home, but specific bible doctrine towards the 2nd class women will remain, sorry.
In the name of the hung Savior,
Brother D. Thomas

You're giving me a bit of a headache. If somethings that belongs to something else is the same as the thing it belongs to, does it mean that when I marry I will become my husband?
I'm confused. Please forgive me, being a feeble minded female, it happens quite often. I have a nice Victorian era yellow diamond ring, that belongs to me, and I have never thought that the ring could be seen anything more than my possession (?).

So...
Are you one of these fluffy-bunny so called "Christians" who interpret the Bible as they wish instead of reading what it literally means?
2 Peter 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

I believe the term that is more widely used is "daughters of Eve" and "sons of Adams." I might be wrong, though.

Basilissa, SISTER of Eve,
I am giving you a headache? How many times have I heard that from women before, I can't count the times!
Dear, let's deduce this to the irreducible primary, shall we? Your supernatural occurrence, Eve, screwed up big time in the Garden of Eden by going against Yahweh and eating from the Tree of Knowledge. This is barring the fact that Yahweh was omnipresent (John 2:24-25; 6:64; 16:30) and knew beforehand that Eve was going to screw up, this is another discussion. Therefore, it all started from the beginning where the woman started the original sin scenario, and man has been paying for it ever since!
I am assuming that you were trying to make a "funny" when you proffered that there was a 1st class woman, yes? There is no such thing in the godly scheme of things as revealed throughout the scriptures. Are you trying in vain to be comedic?
I am growing tired in my placating to a woman here in this thread, therefore, I would suggest that you actually follow the scriptures and accept the biblical FACT that all men rule over you in every way.
“For a man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God, but woman is the glory of man, for man was not made for woman, but woman from man, NEITHER WAS MAN CREATED FOR WOMAN, BUT WOMAN FOR MAN.” (1 Corinthians 11:17)
In the name of the hung Savior,
Brother D. Thomas

Is American a second language for you? That would explain a lot.
In American, when you say that X is a "second class Y," that implies that Y has more than one class, and that X belongs to the second of these multiple classes.
I hope that was helpful (=not teaching, just helping, like a help meat ought to do), dear.

I would appreciate any Christian apologetics that I may be missing on this situation. Thanking you in advance.

I am sorry to say you do not understand the literal meaning of 1 Corinthians 11:14. Long hair and hair that has never been cut mean the same thing in the Bible. We can see from pictures of Jesus his hair and beard was neatly trimmed, not long as in never cut.
There are no contradictions in the Bible. Pictures of Jesus do not contradict 1 Corinthians 11:14.

Johnny Joe,
Jesus with "short hair" is scriptural!
Jesus with long hair is not scriptural!
In the name of the hung Savior,
