I must admit a bit of disappointment at this news. Betsy DeVos may favor school vouchers, but it is well known that women are incapable of grasping the hard sciences. A strong scientific presence like Dr. Carl Baugh or our very own Dr. Elmer White would have been a better choice.


Still though, it being a secretarial position, perhaps DeVos is right for the job after all.

DeVos, 58, grew up in Michigan, where her father, Edgar Prince, made a fortune supplying auto parts to manufacturers. Her brother is Erik Prince, the founder of Blackwater, one of the most profitable private security firms during the Iraq War. Blackwater came under scrutiny after its guards shot and killed 17 Iraqi civilians in Baghdad in 2007.
She graduated from Calvin College, a Christian liberal arts school in Grand Rapids, Mich., and married Dick DeVos Jr., an heir to the Amway direct-sales fortune. Together, they founded the Windquest Group, which invests in technology and manufacturing.

So basically, her father made money; her brother made money, and she married money.

I foresee that President Trump, who has a lot of money, will use her as his puppet - there's no need to worry.

The Amway connection will prove an excellent way of raising the living standards of thousands: Once they have the school vouchers, people will sell them for twice the price - the buyers will sell them again for twice the price, and then those buyers will sell them for twice the price, etc., until we are all millionaires.

Excellent! Things are already coming up roses! President Elect Trump is capitalizing on the success of changing careers late in life, and appointed for Education Secretary a person who has never been a teacher or principal, or run a school district or state education agency. The biggest gain is the privatization of education! We know that the wealthy care about their children more, and will pay to educate their children. The poor care only about drugs and sex and handouts, and so their children will suffer. Liberals should be glad as they will see it as Darwinian Evolution at work.

Indeed Brother Mayor Hold. Starting children off in Multi-Level Marketing (as Independent Business Owners) in grade school would pay off in many ways.


Teaching them to avoid and shun "naysayers" or "dream stealers" that would deter them from the outstanding opportunity The Business offers.


Healthy and interactive society skills as they learn to show The Plan to family, friends and even total strangers, in any setting at all. Imagine having the self-confidence to interrupt a family enjoying a meal in a restaurant, to ask if they want to own their own business too and be rich beyond measure. To own a mansion! We have a name for people who think they can change the world: EMPLOYEES.

This new appointee also very much believes that school vouchers can be used in ANY school, which means parents will be able to afford CHRISTIAN schools, where there will be no mention of anyone having two mommies, or "Steve and my other dad, Bruce," where homerism is taught as acceptable by homer teachers, but instead where Creationism is the ONLY way to teach our children where the world was created and how. A school where prayer is welcomed and encouraged, where the pledge of allegiance is followed with AMEN, and where the heroes are people like Peter, James, and John, rather than Barack, Hillary, or Bill.


I am becoming more and more elated by the TRUMPED UP (Glory!) election results.


Did you know that male teachers in NYC are allowed to wear SHORTS to work? Their hairy, muscular legs on display to young, impressionable youth who gaze upon those legs, wanting to feel their furry manliness! The curiosity of whether or not those legs would feel good against them as they slumber under a warm My Little Pony blanket (horrors!).
