More evidence against evilution: Herbicide-resistant weeds -
05-04-2010, 01:35 PM
From the JYT:
Quote:
U.S. Farmers Cope With Roundup-Resistant Weeds
* * *
Just as the heavy use of antibiotics contributed to the rise of drug-resistant supergerms, American farmers’ near-ubiquitous use of the weedkiller Roundup has led to the rapid growth of tenacious new superweeds.
|
This shows what nonsense the monkey-worshipers' dogma is. We're supposed to believe that random mutations allowed the weeds to become resistant to Roundup. How could random mutations possibly know the chemical structure of Roundup? Besides, everyone who has been home-schooled through the eighth grade knows that mutations always result in a loss of information, never a gain. The only reasonable explanation is that God intelligently designed the weeds to be able to resist Roundup, so that farmers would put their trust in Him rather than modern sc ie nce, as He commands:
Lev. 26:3-4: If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them; Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.
It's your funeral, evilutionists.
This church is dedicated to preaching True Christianity™ and the King James Bible exactly as they are, with no alterations to make them more politically correct for modern liberals. If you think that we've misquoted or twisted Scripture or quoted any verse out of context, please explain in detail how we've done so. Otherwise, if what you read on this site offends you, then you're offended by Almighty God and His Word, not by us.

Aye, those secularist farmer was literary reaping what they have sowed. God decreed weeds for their fields for their sins of tolerating abortion, homosexuality and public utilities in their communities and did they repent of their sins? No! They defied the Lord and resorted to foolish mortal science. Well God is not mocked sinners so God created the super weed. Now were is your chemical weed killer farmer?

Absolutely right, Pastor Peters. The scienticians are saying that the "genes" from the Roundup-Ready plants are contaminating other plants through "cross-pollination".
It's like racial mixing, it is. Miscenegation!

For that matter, why does grass continue to grow? According to the evolutionists, the grass should "learn" from being mowed every week and stop growing.
Checkmate again, Darwinistas!
Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:

Less spraying, more praying! These farmers need to stop killing the weeds that God sent to them, and learn how to make food out of thistles etc.
And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat....
31And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good - Genesis 1:29-31
Note that fungicide is okay because only herbs that bear seed are from God. Mushrooms weren't made by God, which means they must be the work of Satan. Maybe this needs it's own thread?
Disagree? By failing to register and debate me, you prove that liberals are factless frauds who only persuade through intimidation. To prove otherwise, debate me!

Well our Government has banned RoundUp in order to please the tree hugging hippies. Now dandelions have taken over the parks and most peoples yards. I'm trying to make due with "green" products, but "green" just means you've wasted your money on something that doesn't work. My roses all have spots, weeds are taking over and my beautiful yard has become a weed infested swamp.
But I guess as long as the hippies are happy, that's what's important. I'll be talking to the inlaws and seeing what farm chemicals they have that I can smuggle in.

Weeds prove God exists 100%. If not for weeds, we would have perfect lawns. We wouldn't know that imperfect lawns existed. God is perfection, but if not for imperfection we would not be able to acknowledge perfection.
If evilution were true, all lawns would be perfect by now. Heck, evilutionist scientists say the earth is something like 1000 billion zillion years old. Surely, we would have perfection by now.
But the fact is, it has been less than 10,000 years, so even if evilution were true, there hasn't been enough time to be perfect.
But evilutionists want it both ways.
"Take your son, your only son – yes, Isaac, whom you love so much – and go to the land of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains, which I will point out to you." Genesis 22:1-18

It seems like modern agriculture is an abomination in so many ways. The Bible refers so often to slaves and a society clearly delineated by class. That obviously is the way God preferred to see the world organized.
Now, modern agriculture has destroyed use of the hoe, and the lower classes that used the hoe. God wanted the lower classes to hoe weeds, not watch while the wealthy farmer spays Round Up on his crops.
Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

Roundup Pffft.... I'm about to napalm my front yard.
I stupidly gave my wife some money and told her to go nuts at the garden store. She brought home Shasta daisies and English Ivy. I can tell you that this is a mistake I will never make again. The daisies have taken over the one garden and now popping up in my lawn. I kill it off with Roundup and it just pops back up 5 feet away. The Ivy is another one that is un-killable. It's moved onto the neighbors yard and while I'm trying to kill it on my side, the neighbor is doing nothing, so it just creeps back over.
Genesis 3:18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;
Doesn't say anything about the wifes poor choices.

Because any weed that didn't have the mutation died when exposed to Roundup, so only the ones that had it were still around. It didn't have to know the chemical makeup. It just needed to produce a protein that counteracts the weedkilling agent in Roundup on the chemical level, perhaps by neutralizing it.

I find myself hesitant to respond, as the last question I answered has earned me a warning, but I believe it would be impolite to ignore someone who has spoken to me.
They were the results of mutations. mutations aren't strictly a loss of information, just a change. Certain plants mutated when they produced offspring, and one of the mutations happened to be better at surviving Roundup. So those plants survived, and so did the mutation. eventually, all plants in the field that did not carry the mutation were dead, leaving only the resistant strain.

Please make a thread of your own in the " Introductions" section of the forum, so that we can properly greet you. Tell us about yourself, your church, and how you came to find Jesus.
And if you're here to flame us, better take a look at THIS before making an even bigger ass out of yourself.

Thanks for proving evolution. You just gave support for evolution. Evolution says that any species most fit to survive will survive. If you're the only species resistant to herbicides, then when all the other herbicides you tend to monopolize the nutrients and use it to spread and propagate your own genus.

But these species weren't resistant before and now they are. Brother Jeb and Mayor Hold are right. God has made these weeds resistant because men are to be out hoeing their crops, not spraying from the air conditioned cab of a tractor.

Exactly. That is what evolution is. That things adapt to change their environment over time so they can survive over other things. By evolution, the herbs that can't adapt to weed killer and resist it die. And the ones that can survive and spread.

That is adaption to environment. That doesn't prove evolution.
Cockroaches slowly grow resistance towards pesticide. Does it grow resistance to sledgehammer?
Human slowly grow resistance towards diseases. Can human therefore according to your "evolution theory" survive explosive blast?

Yes, which is part of evolution! You see? THAT is what natural selection is like! And that is what evolution is built upon.

Ahhh, Kent Hovind. That is something completely different. A sledgehammer is a solid substance, not a toxin. You can't build a genetic defense against a solid weapon.
You can, however, grow an extremely thick and strong outer shell and grow massively in size. /joke

It is called adaption. Those who cannot develop resistances to such diseases tend to die off while those who do tend to thrive and prosper as they can't be killed of by it.
The explosive blast has nothing to do with it, as that is not something you can build a genetic defense against, unlike viruses/bacteria and biotoxins.
