For some reason, there are no proposals as yet for a statue of H.W. on the Capitol Mall. If none are forth coming maybe we could have one commissioned for here in Freehold.

While respecting the former President (only 1 term, sad) it's important to realize that Bush was old and completely demented when he said

“I don’t like him,” Mr. Bush said in May 2016. “I don’t know much about him, but I know he’s a blowhard. And I’m not too excited about him being a leader.” Rather than being motivated by public service, Mr. Bush said Mr. Trump seemed to be driven by “a certain ego.”

In fact both Bush Presidents are probably demented - nice people, but demented RINO liars.

An anecdote from my papist father about Bush 41:


The president was in NYC to speak at the UN and my father was working over in the area by Sutton Place. He walked up the street to one of the hot dog vendors and less than 3 feet away was a group of secret service and the president himself. My father listened closely and said one of the secret service men got a hot dog with mustard. Mr. Bush didn't get one but took the time to sign the side of the vendor's cart in Sharpie. This touched my dad so much he tried to get close enough to tell the president so, but the secret service knocked him to the ground and stood on his throat until the president was safely whisked away.


A little tear escapes my eye when I think of my father telling that story in his husky-throated, barely understandable way.

I have a feeling they weren't publicly endorsing Donald Trump after he humiliated and decimated their son Jeb Bush. I disagree with their decision, but I'm just trying to understand their reasoning.


Think of how awkward that would make their Thanksgiving get-togethers. Jeb Bush was the front-runner until Donald Trump came into the race and reduced him to a measly 5% despite all his lobbying. Rumor has it, the Bushes aren't too happy with their son Jeb, Barbara even publicly stated that Jeb "wasn't her favorite" (who can blame her?) https://thehill.com/blogs/blog-brief...ot-my-favorite and she stated that he should "interrupt more" like the "other candidates" (eg. While I do agree that the Bush family are very patriotic and kind people, I have to point out that they weren’t very nice to Trump at all and appeared to constantly criticize our president. Cross this with Romans 13 and you will see where the Bushes have all ended up. Jeb lost the election and is married to a spic, Dubya is a failed artist, and HW is dead. I know HW was sick before the election but one can only look at the timing and not wonder if this was part of God’s master plan. Glory to HW for being a tool in God’s toolbox to remind people that we need to respect our current president O̶r̶ ̶d̶i̶e̶ ̶a̶ ̶l̶o̶n̶e̶l̶y̶ ̶m̶a̶n̶.̶

You make very sound points here, Brother. I heard Bush Sr. requested Jeb to be a pallbearer so Jeb can let him down one last time.
