"Importance" of faith, no. If you don't believe in the True Religion, you are already condemned, no matter how many good works have you done.
As I have posted before, many people did so many good things (like killing a lot of communists, for example) while being part of the Catholic cult, and they were so close to Heaven, and yet so far.
Yes we must perform good works. Mostly, praying for people with problems. We have to pray all day (1 Thessalonians 5:17)
So, the question remains: are Catholics doing good works going to Heaven? The answer is: of course not.
First clue: James 2:10“For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.”
So, even if the Caths would do really good works and not only crimes against little boys, then they are still going to Hell if they offend the law of God in one point.
And the imaginery, the worshipping of other Gods or demi-Gods not present in the Bible... The list goes on an on in all the elements when Caths are breaking the Law of God.
It is not late for you to repent. Unless youhave blasphemed against the Holy Ghost. I hope you haven't!
Mark 3:28-29
28 Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme:
29 But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation.
