Presumably, they could wear any color they want to wear. White is a signal that the bride is a virgin. Naturally, white is not suitable for most colored women, but if one was still a virgin, white would be appropriate. However, it should be noted that white will make colored women look even darker than they already are.
Purple is fashionable among Negroes and Mexicans like bright mixed colors. I don't think Chinamen concern themselves with color. Aren't they colorblind?

Re: Wedding Dress DONT'S & DO'S -

Hello hello! Oh my goodness, it has been so long. I have been gone for so long due to some happy events. I am with child again! And my husband has recently settled an arrangement to which my eldest daughter is soon to be married. My husband is telling me she and I must sew her own wedding dress together and it must meet his approval, which I agree wholeheartedly. I have no desire for my daughter to take after her harlot of an aunt, who wore a short wedding dress that did not bother to cover up any of her upper torso besides her bosom. My daughter has actually had the nerve to ask about having a certain neckline..I believe it is called a sweetheart? I was aghast! It is not of her to want such a thing! I promptly disciplined her with a smack to the face. Any ?advice on how to guide my daughter to be a properly dressed bride?

2. Long sleeves are more attractive for a woman. What man wants to see a lady's arms? If it is hot, wear cooler fabric. It is my humble belief that a woman should stay modest no matter the weather.
3. It is very slutty to draw attention to your breasts. They are there to please your husband and feed his sons, not to show off like some prostitute. Remember that your body is not your own.
4. Women are worth very little. Any True Christian Lady should know that. Do not attempt to make up for it with pearls and gold, that is misleading to your groom.
5. Modesty is everything. Cover up as much as you can and still look attractive and not like some Mudslime whore. Then put on a veil to be even more modest.

Ladies,
After lots of time with my mother, I have found the wedding dress. It is a pure white linen dress like in Revelations 19:8. It covers all my arms and is just below the neck and there is no frills. It is simply a long, very modest, very white wedding dress, befitting my place as a worthless, but virgin bride. I have a tulle veil and was considering putting flowers from my garden in my hair like in Proverbs 4:9. I also was considering painting my nails a pure white, to match my dress. Is that ok? After all, I want my new lord and master to rejoice in the fact he found a Christian bride like in Isaiah 62:5.
God bless,
Elizabeth

Congratulations on the dress, dear. It sounds very appropriate.

Simple answer: not unless you want to look cheap. Nails should be clean, short and buffed to a healthy, natural shine.

This is correct. Long nails and nail polish are the hallmarks of a whore. Long nails also indicate that you are afraid of housework.

Thank you ladies so much! I definitely do not want to my beloved lord and master to see me as a lazy woman who tears down her house with her own hands like in Proverbs 14:1. I will not be painting my nails and will ensure they stay nice and short, ready to scrub, wax, and polish the floors some more!

This is definitely a DO, but the cut and sleeves should be a little higher.

My daughter and I have found this dress for her wedding. Do you all think it meets the requirements of modesty? I was very pleased with this find.

While I am by no means a True Christian woman, it definitely is modest. 2 Corinthians 11:2 - "For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present [you as] a chaste virgin to Christ."
I like how it is pure white, "And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints." Revelations 19:8.
My only slight concern is that some may think that it draws attention to the bodice with the creases in the fabric. 1 Timothy 2:9 "In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array."
And of course add a veil to it. 1 Cornthians 11:5 "But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven."
But otherwise, lovely dress. I hope your daughter has a lovely wedding and that she remembers 1 Peter 3:1-6 "Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your husbands; that, if any obey not the word they may without the word by won by the conversation of the wives; While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear; whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hear, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on apparel; but let it be the hidden man of the hear, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price; for after this manner, in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands: even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him Lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement."
"Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands." Proverbs 14:1

I believe the neckline of that dress is a little low cut, but it isn't really over the edge, so to speak.
I would approve.

Thank you all for your lovely input! I can always let out and smooth the creases in the dress so it is more a of a plain bodice. That way, there will be less attention drawn to it. And no, my daughter is quite a healthy weight. She eats all the right foods that are considered to be what a True Christian would have.

I must admit, I do not understand the time and attention given unto brides today. In my day, the wedding was not about making the bride feel and look like a princess, but about Jesus. The "Big Day" was the day in which a woman took vows to love, serve, and honor her husband, and we knew how that works. Today it's just about making a fashion statement.
Themed wedding dresses are a big deal now.
Although I can almost forgive a wedding dress "shout out" to God's favorite nation.
Women who think they are "all that" should be told less is not more.
Personally, I don't know why women want to dress in something so unpractical. After the wedding ceremony and everyone has gone home, the husband will be hungry, no doubt. It is the duty of the wife to find him a snack. I prefer dresses that are accommodating to a woman's new role as wife and help meet. These dresses show due modesty, and also hint to the fact that she's able to pull a plow for her husband should he but hint at the need. She would also be able to clean up the mess from such a party without tripping over such a long train.
It should go without saying, but now that Big Sodomy has chipped away at all that is decent and moral in our land, it must be said.
If there is no bride in your party,
YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG.
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

Since I have a suitor, I have been starting to look at wedding dresses and I have found some lovely ones. I apologize if the pictures do not show up, but if that is the case, it will show that I am a mere woman who knows little about technology (as I should, according to Samuel).
This dress is simple and would be lovely with longer sleeves and a higher neckline:
This one is perfect!
This one is also perfect:
And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

Thank you, Sister! Unfortunately, they don't seem to work. Perhaps I'll try again later, since I need to teach Samuel's sister how to dye curtains.

Forgive me for double posting, but I'm going to try to post the pictures again.
The first one is lovely, but the neckline needs to be higher and the sleeves should be longer.
The second one is perfect, but the neckline should be a little less higher and a little more plain.
The third one is absolutely lovely (but the top and the sleeves should probably be lined.
And I love the hairstyles that the models have. Very simple and not in violation of 1 Timothy 2:9
(Hooray, it worked! Thank you again, Sister Elizabeth!)
And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
