My dear friends -
06-30-2007, 09:09 PM
As of late I have been one to question the sanctity of this beautiful world that the lord has blessed us with. I have seen miscreants run the streets like devils from hell, shrieking at the heavens as if they were cursed. My city’s once glorious walls that once proclaimed the almighty are now covered in the tar of paints and sprays that these heathens force upon them. I had almost begun to wonder where my lord had gone, but then I found the truth. The truth that I had been seeking for so long came to me in a white envelope that my dear friend Marianne had mailed me. I had not heard from Marianne in fifteen years. She was a dear friend who I had met attending a church function. A modest woman, Marianne always declared her fortunes upon the lord and urged others to realize the same. Well enough of Marianne let me return to this blessed story. In her letter, Marianne spoke of how she came across an old photo that had been taken at the picnic, which had happened to of had my address upon it. Compelled to tell me of how they lord had blessed her these past years, she wrote of this amazing place known as the Landover Baptist Church. While never had been there, she told me of how the great people there were true to the words of our lord, and were not ones to falter from the meaningless squabbles in the world around them. Upon finishing the letter I knew what I had to do. I had to find this amazing grace of the Lord and hear of these things for myself. Once I had begun my search it was the first website on the page. I wondered if I had finally found it. I first clicked the link and was shocked at the subjects that were being talked about. I was horrified and appalled and what these people were discussing, but then I dove further into these subjects. I read, in entirety, the words of those who placed the script of God into their posts and was truly amazed at their understanding of his world. I have read at this site for several months and always wondered it would be fitting for me to tell you of my story. It was not until three days ago that I knew it was time. Three days ago I had received a letter from Marianne. This letter was in response to a question I had posed to her. I had asked how she had obtained my current address, as I have lived in several homes since I had originally written my address upon the back of that picture many years ago. Her response was confused, as the address upon that picture was that of my current home, one I had just recently moved into. Along with her letter she had sent me a copy of the photo with its front and back. The front of the picture was a simple photograph of several friends, including us, as we were about to leave. However, on the back of this photograph was something I could not believe. The words on the back of this photo were clear, they held my current address, but even more they held something even more wonderful, the handwriting of my brother Jacob. While this may not seem as amazing to you as it is to me, please allow me to explain. Jacob was monstrous child. Throughout his life he had pilfered from stores and partook in activities that could only be described as sinful. As a family we tried everything. We took him to service, prayed for him daily, and even our church did their best to help stop his evil ways. To no avail, Jacob continued his devilish path. His path was not one filled with time, as Jacob was diagnosed with a severe form of cancer. With only months to live, Jacob began a wondrous transformation. Three times a week he could be found at the house of God. He gave his time to ensure the cleanliness of the church. Outside and in, gave what was left of his body to preserve what he had once desecrated. He did this until his body was unable to leave his bed. Days before his passing, I happened to come upon him as he was reading scripture one evening. He must have known God was soon to take him for he had said something that has held strong in my ears every since he spoke it. Jacob said, “My brother, forgive me. In my life I have averted from the lord and was unable to find the one thing that I now realize is the true treasure in this world. I did not find God until my time was nearly up, and how thankful I am that you were the one to bring me to him. Even so, I am selfish, as I wish I could have been the one to bring you to he.” We spoke into the early morning, until he had finally gone to rest. It was not two days later when I received the call, my dear brother Jacob had passed. My dear brother Jacob did not attend this gathering where I had met Marianne. He had not been there to give her my address, or to even know she existed; yet somehow his words were found on the back of that photograph instead of mine. My brother had finally been the one to bring me back to God.

You write like our Jew lawyers. Try reading the Bible sometime to learn how to break up the monotony of sentences. Your writing is atrocious and no self-respecting Christian would have the time to sift through that.

I know I didn't read it. If someone could sum it up in a few Christian words I would be most appreciative.

Try taking Mr Jonathan's advice here, and make paragraphs. I quit after the first three lines.
1st Timothy 2: 9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;
1st Timothy 2: 10 But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works ...
1 Timothy 5: 16 If any man or woman that believeth have widows, let them relieve them, and let not the church be charged; that it may relieve them that are widows indeed ...
Proverbs 31: 26 She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness ...
Proverbs 31: 27 She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness ...

You guys are all pansies then. Its not so hard to just quote the post, then edit it into paragraphs yourself, for the love of...
Ugh.
Since I actually had the you know...brains to do that OH SO HARD little trick, I read it. I actually read it without even doing that, since I don't have dyslexia or the Grammar Nazi syndrome.
Basically, he said how he got a letter from a friend that told him about this place, and when he first came he was shocked at the various topics, until he read the posts to see how knowledgeable the Pastors and various TC's were, by quoting scripture that they didn't write to answer questions.
But he was confused because he'd changed addresses several times since he'd spoken to his friend last, and asked how she found his address, but the Friend was also confused as a picture of them had his deceased brother's writing on the back, which detailed his current address.
He also said his brother used to be a godless heathen whom did bad stuff, and they tried it all to save him, but nothing worked. Until for some reason he only had a short time to live and changed his tune, being found at a House of God at least three times a week, and at the end they spoke, then two days later he got a call saying his brother had died.
He says it was his brother whom brought him back to God, and he wanted to share his story with you.
That's about the gist of it.

Do it say if his brotha had left him some inheritances? If his brotha had left him enough ($500,000 or mo'), then he can send it to our church fo' a love offerin' and we be happy to spend time with him and teach him to write like he not ignant.
"He went on CNN and he laughed at us, and he said, 'They'll never get me because Allah will protect me. Allah will protect me.' Well, you know what? I knew that my God was bigger than his. I knew that my God was a real God and his was an idol." - Lt. General William G. Boykin

Yeah, that's what I thought, Joo ... I didn't think you would change your pic and sig to the ones I noticed you had ---

I think they've done it to a few others around the board too ...
... they are probably just trying to keep unsaved heathens like us in line for Jesus's sake

It's not worth your time Brother Wash. The boy had no point at all, and I know you're busy preparing for you big special week-long show on the immoral legacy of 1970's rock band "Journey". I know I'll be tuned in...
Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:
Hypocrites (Matthew 24:51), The Unforgiving (Mark 11:26), Homosexuals (Romans 1:26, 27), Fornicators (Romans 1:29), The Wicked (Romans 1:29), The Covetous (Romans 1:29), The Malicious (Romans 1:29), The Envious (Romans 1:29), Murderers (Romans 1:29), The Deceitful (Romans 1:29), Backbiters (Romans 1:30), Haters of God (Romans 1:30), The Despiteful (Romans 1:30), The Proud (Romans 1:30), Boasters (Romans 1:30), Inventors of evil (Romans 1:30), Disobedient to parents (Romans 1:30), Covenant breakers (Romans 1:31), The Unmerciful (Romans 1:31), The Implacable (Romans 1:31), The Unrighteous (1Corinthians 6:9), Idolaters (1Corinthians 6:9), Adulterers (1Corinthians 6:9), The Effeminate (1Corinthians 6:9), Thieves (1Corinthians 6:10), Drunkards (1Corinthians 6:10), Reviler (1Corinthians 6:10), Extortioners (1Corinthians 6:10), The Fearful (Revelation 21:8), The Unbelieving (Revelation 21:8), The Abominable (Revelation 21:8), Whoremongers (Revelation 21:8), Sorcerers (Revelation 21:8), All Liars (Revelation 21:8)

O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.
God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.
