Thank you for pointing that thread out to me. I missed it earlier. I moved it to "False Religions and Cults" where it belongs.

You Protestant stooge, I was clearly referring to Mary, to whom the title Blessed Virgin is traditionally applied.

And suggesting Jesus wasn't a virgin is blasphemy on high!!! Who are you, Dan Brown?

Haven't you read the story of the wedding feast of Cana? Jesus wasn't going to do anything to help the wedding get more wine until Mary took pity on them and asked Jesus to help. Hopefully, Mary will have pity on you and ask Jesus to save you.

              No thanks, idolater.

Matthew 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

                In Heaven and On Earth

The Bible directs us to invoke those in heaven and ask them to pray with us. Thus in Psalms 103, we pray, "Bless the Lord, O you his angels, you mighty ones who do his word, hearkening to the voice of his word! Bless the Lord, all his hosts, his ministers that do his will!" (Ps. 103:20-21). And in Psalms 148 we pray, "Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord from the heavens, praise him in the heights! Praise him, all his angels, praise him, all his host!" (Ps. 148:1-2).

Not only do those in heaven pray with us, they also pray for us. In the book of Revelation, we read: "[An] angel came and stood at the altar [in heaven] with a golden censer; and he was given much incense to mingle with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar before the throne; and the smoke of the incense rose with the prayers of the saints from the hand of the angel before God" (Rev. 8:3-4).

And those in heaven who offer to God our prayers aren’t just angels, but humans as well. John sees that "the twenty-four elders [the leaders of the people of God in heaven] fell down before the Lamb, each holding a harp, and with golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints" (Rev. 5:8). The simple fact is, as this passage shows: The saints in heaven offer to God the prayers of the saints on earth.

At least I'm not a former Jesus-killer. Try explaining that one to God.

No, I'm actually Norwegian Presbyterian. We believe that the Norwegian Presbyterians, along with the Dutch Catholics, were actually the first Christians. There is a little known text known as the NDCW (Norwegian/Dutch Christian Writings) that pretty much proves this to be true. Hence why I'm defending Catholics.

And I just think it is funny that people insist Protestants "split from" the Catholic church.

It was Catholics who split from the True Church due to their apostasy. It was then left to Protestants to reform what was left of the True Church, back to the way it had begun (hence the term "reformation"). Sadly that didn't last very long and most followed the papists in apostasy. Only a few True Christians (tm) remain, much like in the days of Noah. But the Word still goes out, giving everyone one last chance and leaving them without excuse.

When Mary was hassling Him to make wine, Jesus' reply was:
John 2:4 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee?

2,000 years ago, He was already getting impatient with her nagging. Imagine how sick of her He is now!

Praying to the queen of heaven provokes God to anger.

Don't be ridiculous. I am but a mere layperson of the church. If the Pope had any sort of interest in a small church in rural America, he would send a clergyman to order it out, not a mere commoner like me.

You are totally misreading this. In the Psalms, we are not asking the angels to pray with us. We are giving them a warning, telling them that they'd better damned well bless the Lord, because one day we are going to judge their conduct:

Know ye not that we shall judge angels? 1 Corinthians 6:3

Not only will the angel not be praying for us, he won't be praying at all! He will be swinging an incense censer. Do you know the difference?

It doesn't say anything even remotely like that. It says they will bow down before the Lord, not that they will pray.
