Brothers, from a lady's point of view President Atamabayev's comments are most interesting!
Quote:
Our women have been wearing miniskirts since 1950s

Who knew that his unspellable country had been in the vanguard of fashion? In the West, this trend towards immodesty did not begin until the 1960s. I know this because my grandmother likes to tell the story of
her father's 1964 sermon on the subject, which she can still recite from memory. It reduces my youngest stepdaughter to tears!
Quote:
You can wear even tarpaulin boots on your head, but do not organize bombings.

Once again, the women of Kyrgyzyrgy - no, I give up and shall call it K-istan - are ahead of us in the civilized world, and not in a good way. But who can deny that the second part of his sentence is wise?
As for this (he is talking about criminals here)
Quote:
Their wives and mistresses wore sacks on their heads and they wanted to organise bombings.

He may want to take a look at their everyday headgear, which might lend itself to the concealment of munitions:
But to point out that women with sacks over their heads are dangerous madwomen is yet more sound advice.
He is technically incorrect when he tells them they can go wherever they want, as nobody else would let them in. But any woman stupid enough to wear a sack on her head is hardly going to work that out and I like a man with a sense of humor.
