What concerns me is the message these children will get now. The message that God is trustworthy and is faithful to do what He says (Psalm 100:5; Romans 8:28; 1 Corinthians 1:9; 1 Thessalonians 5:24) has been undermined by the message that says faith is ultimately not compatible with life in a secular land.
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

The message I take away here is that Jesus railed against false prophets and was completely correct as usual: The law is there to protect us against false prophets.
I'm glad to say that Landover has never had any trouble with the law at all and that is entirely down to the members and congregation being True Christians™ and not followers of some deluded maniac or worse still, a woman.

When you pray, sometimes God answers "yes," sometimes God answers "no," and sometimes God's answer is "wait." I think this was probably a "wait" case. Six months doesn't give the Almighty a lot of time to arrange a resurrection. Next time, she should invest in some rat traps.

What gets me is this:
Quote:
Mrs Wald covered the body with two blankets, put a beanie on his head, padlocked the bedroom door and sealed the door and vents

Now, he may well have been resurrected, but if he was, he was locked in that room and couldn't get out, so he would have starved and died a second time.

Before I got saved, I allowed some goth girls I was hoping to have sex with to get me involved in some necromancy, but I haven't had any contact with the dead since becoming a Christian.

True story. God still works miracles through His faithful servants. Praise Jesus!
| Mt 21:42, 44 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes . . . ? And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

There is no argument here. God brings people back to life when the proper prayer is sent to Him. The same that happened several times in the Bible happened in this video.
Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

I was married a very long time, does that count?
But seriously, I've never heard of anyone legitimately rising the dead other than God. Sure, I've (as I am sure all of us open minded people) have heard utterly ridiculous stories of Voodoo nigras from Mississippi making a cauldron of pigs blood, frogs legs and the hair from a elderly woman's rectum as some sort of magic potion.
Truthfully, no rational man would ever fall for some cockamamie story about magical powers.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

I heard about some guy with a cat that did it, though I passed it off to a wild eyed story. He was a ruskie or something. He used to carry it around in a box and pretend it was alive, I think. But the smell gave it away. Trust me.

I have. By choosing The Donald I raised the Republican Party from the dead.
Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:
Hypocrites (Matthew 24:51), The Unforgiving (Mark 11:26), Homosexuals (Romans 1:26, 27), Fornicators (Romans 1:29), The Wicked (Romans 1:29), The Covetous (Romans 1:29), The Malicious (Romans 1:29), The Envious (Romans 1:29), Murderers (Romans 1:29), The Deceitful (Romans 1:29), Backbiters (Romans 1:30), Haters of God (Romans 1:30), The Despiteful (Romans 1:30), The Proud (Romans 1:30), Boasters (Romans 1:30), Inventors of evil (Romans 1:30), Disobedient to parents (Romans 1:30), Covenant breakers (Romans 1:31), The Unmerciful (Romans 1:31), The Implacable (Romans 1:31), The Unrighteous (1Corinthians 6:9), Idolaters (1Corinthians 6:9), Adulterers (1Corinthians 6:9), The Effeminate (1Corinthians 6:9), Thieves (1Corinthians 6:10), Drunkards (1Corinthians 6:10), Reviler (1Corinthians 6:10), Extortioners (1Corinthians 6:10), The Fearful (Revelation 21:8), The Unbelieving (Revelation 21:8), The Abominable (Revelation 21:8), Whoremongers (Revelation 21:8), Sorcerers (Revelation 21:8), All Liars (Revelation 21:8)

They'll try anything, maybe it's a hit or maybe a miss but until you look in the box you'd never know.
Stunts like this don't work with Christians; we know that only dead people go to morgues and so when that doctor ordered up a jolt to the heart it really was a cadaver revived by God. Perhaps the skin tone was altered a little, the report doesn't say, but nothing alive ever winds up in a morgue. Or a tomb, in days gone by.

I suppose, to a degree, that if I were to say that I have so much Faith that I could raise the dead, then that would be off-set against the sin of pride and thus I would not be left with enough Faith to do the job.
However, I am not that sort of person and unworthy of even being called "Faithful" - I know I could do more if there were more hours in the day.
At the moment, my experience rests at burying a hamster, and three months later praying it were alive again - I dug it up and it had gone! My elder brother laughed and told me it had not been dead but hibernating - I don't think he could prove this though - perhaps I wasn't quick enough in getting out there into the garden.
However, If anyone has access to either someone who is about to leave this Vale of Tears, or someone who has gone to glory in the last day or two, I could find it in me to truly follow the Lord's Words to the best of my shamefully weak ability.
(Sometime next week would be good, but not Thursday afternoon as I'm supposed to be taking Mrs Bathfire to her sister's for an anti-abortion knit-in.)
