Hello there -
10-16-2016, 03:30 PM
Hi! I'm Jeremiah Trenton, Jeremiah being my favorite prophet, and Trenton being my family name. I am a homegrown Iowan who was raised Lutheran, and know a few other folk scattered throughout the denominational circle. I am very interested in the Baptist Church, and have participated on some forums and attended a few worship services. I was a vicar for the Missouri Synod, but I'm unsure now.
I found Jesus as a toddler. My parents taught me "Jesus Loves Me" and famous Bible stories and passages. I think I'm among the last generations who were taught
God bless America. ♥[/FONT]

Welcome to our friendly forum, Mr. Trenton! Tell us, do you have a wife and family who are wholly devoted to serving you?
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

, Jeremiah! It is great to have you join us here at God's favorite website!
Tell us, what made you realize that being Lutheran was wrong and that Baptist is the true religion? What made you realize that you were a vicar for a false church?
Although lutherism or whatever it's called is a bunch of false teachings, it's on the right track because it believes in Jesus. He does not love you as a Lutheran, but if you are more than just "interested" in the Christian faith, then you could become Saved.
Did you only learn famous Bible stories, or did you also learn lesser known things from the Bible as well? Every bit of the Bible is important. If you do become a saved Baptist, which church will you go to? What Bible verse is your favorite?
We are glad to have you here, as long as you follow the rules of the website and of God. Nobody likes a rule breaker.
God is about as real as unicorns and dragons.

Greetings Mr. Trenton. I welcome you here in the name of these white people who seem to be involved in fending off a woman who is a Devil worshipper. They are usually very kind and welcoming. I am sure they will get around to you sooner or later.

I have a wife, and a babe on the way.
I can't remember the one thing that started me off onto this direction, but I do know that the True God started leading me to the Way last spring/summer. I felt that what I would eventually be teaching was more
If I become Saved, I'll probably get my real Life back together in the Heartland Baptist Church. I've been visiting, and my brother-in-law is happy to give us a loan so we can get an apartment in Ames.
I learned many Bible stories, and read the Revised Standard Version my mom kept around our Living Room. I don't want to brag, but I was usually the first to raise my hand in Sunday School.

Ooh, found a new font! Anyway, thank you, Alvin for welcoming me further.
Okay. Here's my story.
I was born in 1994 in Iowa (do you mind if I keep the city anonymous?) to a fairly large family. Two brothers, and two sisters. We were mostly E.L.C.A. and Missouri, but my house was Missouri, so that's where we went. We moved to Southeast Minnesota for a while, and it was here that I really go interested in my Bible. We kept a family record edition KJV and I read from that every so often. It was REAL heavy! By the time I was done with college, the rest of them moved back to Iowa, after my final grandparent's death and my dad received his inheritance. I stayed in Minnesota with my older brother, then with a guy named Bruce, and we both went to Missouri Synod Seminary together in Indiana. We both got through and, eventually we became Vicars.
I was a Vicar for three years almost, when the doubts arrived. I have recently moved back to Iowa, and am with a new congregation. I am just an associate, so I'm not key to their survival anyway. I am seriously considering conversion to True Christianity.

Yes, Brother Jeremiah, the LORD GOD has blessed us with many fonts. Allow me to welcome you in the Name of the Most High.
As you know, there is no vicar that is higher than our LORD. He is the highest in the entire creation He created.
Do you have sisters? I am seeking a suitable helpmeet although it is secondary to my education at the time. If you research, you'll find that I am a certified equine gnathologist and I am awaiting the results of my veterinary quiz. I will then begin pursuing my PhD in creation science, thanks to the wonderful Elmer White. He is a blessing to my life.
I am an ex-papist, and the devout men and women (to a much lesser extent) helped me find my way to the truth. Since then I have spent a lot of time in the closet with my beautiful Savior. If you allow them to, Landover's pastors and True Christian™ congregation will lead you from the homersekshul Lutheranism to the path of Baptistry. Get rid of the false translation of the Bible and depend on the KJV 1611 ONLY. All others are just roadmaps on the highway to hell.
I extend my strong, manly hand to you in greeting and welcome and look forward to fellowship with you as we praise our GOD together for aye.
COME, LORD JESUS! (Rev. 22:12)
BrotherLarry
Proverbs 21:31 KJV 1611:
“The horse is prepared against the day of battell: but safetie is of the Lord.”
Lord, may I serve my equine brothers and sisters just as I do my fellow man. Amen and Amen

Hello I've been reading up a little on heresies due to some recent contact with heretics and have been surprised how many there are! As a vicar you must have come across quite a few and one of the things I read is this:
The Bible
Is written that we might believe in Jesus Christ as our personal Savior and Lord. It speaks powerfully to the forgiveness of sins which is found in Him alone. It teaches what it means to live a life of love toward God and others, as well as a life of integrity and purpose concerning God's design for each of us. It was written by men as they were directed by God's Holy Spirit, and so it is timeless truth without error or contradiction.
There are a number of Bible references including Psalm 139 but I noticed one was missing and perhaps you could explain for me how two seemingly opposite things could be reconciled? Here's the missing verse:
DEUTERONOMY 5:8 Thou shalt not make thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth: KJV
Several points are addressed in that Lutheran statement of faith one of which concerns The Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit
The Third Person of the Triune God. He is the One Who builds faith, hope, and love into the lives of people as they hear God's Word and come to know Jesus Christ in a profound, personal way. The Holy Spirit convicts people of their sin. He assures people that their sins are forgiven. He gathers people into the Church. He gives gifts to empower people for Christian witness and service. As people continue to hear, read, study, trust, and obey God’s Word He brings them to spiritual maturity.
There are images celebrated which clearly contravene Deuteronomy. It is recognised that obedience is required and not to abstract ideas or the mutterings of "priests" but to the written word preserved for us by God in The Bible. If this is timeless truth without error then how has the Commandment about carving images become defunct? The link goes to an evangelical Lutheran site where you can read more about the images.
When talking to heretics they often say "Oh, you haven't translated that properly" and sure that's possible. Therefore I'm including Luther's German text so that you can check for yourself whether that's an issue here. It doesn't seem to be but I haven't studied German so any suggestion you have will be very helpful.
5 Mose 5:8 Du sollst dir kein Bildnis machen, keinerlei Gleichnis, weder des, das oben im Himmel, noch des, das unten auf Erden, noch des, das im Wasser unter der Erde ist.

Jesus, speaking to Nicodemus said, "Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again".- John 3:7 . Actually, all of Chapter 3 is useful for instruction. Are you truly saved by the Spirit of Jesus, Mr. Trenton? I'm sure there was plenty of Jesus talk as you grew up in an idol worshipping house, but have you found true salvation? There is no wondering, no curiosity about it, once you get the call. You either have Jesus or you don't. What say you, Mr. Trenton?

In my journey from heresy to Light, I've seen many things that are made by man, and not by God. Idolatry, of course, is one of them. "Rationalization" for idolatry is also apparent. The "rationalization" for those statues was that we weren't worshiping the statues. I now know that we were, just not in the way that I formerly thought.

Greetings and Salutations, Mr. Trenton. It is indeed very heartening that you were taught both the concept and the song "God Bless America";or so I assume, do the Lutherans permit music?
The thought of you toddling into the arms of Jesus is very charming. However, as 1 Corinthians 13:11 tells us "When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things."
Of primary interest to us here, Mr. Trenton, is what have you done for Jesus lately? Have you moved on to your big boy beliefs? Do you follow the whole Truth™ and nothing but the Truth™? And would you be willing to place your hand and heart and destiny onto and into the King James Version of the Bible?
Everything that we do here is to serve the unsaved masses by showing the immutable, patently obvious consistency of God's Word so that they can truly know Him for what He is.
It would be lovely if you are led by The Holy Spirit to join us in our worthy mission, and with that hope in mind, I bid you a provisional welcome.
Matthew 22:14 For many are called, but few are chosen.
Have you been called,Mr. Trenton? Will you be a witness for the Truth™ of Jesus?
Exhortingly Yours,
Handmaiden

That is a peculiar comment, Mr. Derffy. Do you believe that Jesus is the Son of God? Because I tell you this with all sincerity- It is either that or Hell. If you do not accept Jesus as the Son of the Living God then you will have to enter into the Lake of Fire which burns with brimstone and fire. Don't go there; it's too hot.

That is-- without any doubt-- an awkward sentence inclusive of a double negative which adds no conclusive evidence of your status as a believer.*
