I have been on this forum for a few days, and am going to introduce myself. I am agnosticaliencat (or, as they put it on here, agnesaliencat) and I stumbled upon this forum by complete accident. I have also been able to learn a few things simply by being here, and I also hope that I can give others a bit of an insight into my own life and way of thinking.

As for what church I used to go to, it was a Unitarian Church in Liverpool. My favorite church to go to, however, is the Cathedral in Liverpool (both of them), and I don't have a favorite Bible passage because they're all good in their own way.

I'm not going to have children (not the parenting type). As for the church, I can't really remember, as it was that long ago. The cathedrals and also the synagogue were largely because there are so many different religions in my family that it's kinda hard to put them into one group (Judaism, Catholicism, Protestant, non-denominational). As for how I came to Jesus, that's kinda like how I came to all other beings, as I found all of them through music.

I also think it's hilarious that you guys have astronomy on the list of things that God hates, as stars are beautiful when seen by the naked eye, but when they're seen through a telescope, they're something else entirely (and I've also seen Andromeda through my binoculars too).

But that's just my opinion.

Yes, and this is NOT how this forum works. It is not about opinions, it is about the word of God.


For example, I love Deuteronomy 20. So I have studied it, and I can say with all my heart and soul that the treatment of prisioners in Guantanamo and Irak is more than Godly.

You should go to Liverpool at some point, and you'll see that they're just like everybody else (just that we speak with a different accent). Yes, I do "own" my binoculars (like I also "own" the right to tell people that their beliefs about me are absolute "lies" and expect them to accept that).

What other beings have you met/found? Krishna? Budda? Pachamama? Svetovid? Inanna? Or maybe one of the Trickster-type deities? Or any of the deus otiosus type of deities?

If you've seen a star through a telescope as anything else than a dot of light, then your telescope is broken. Only planets and deep sky objects, such as the Messier objects, look interesting when seen through a telescope.

(and I've also seen Andromeda through my binoculars too).

Definitely not a star.

One way he blinds minds is through astrophysics. This is a very effective way to deny God because it requires that we believe in deep time and that stars are still being created. These beliefs contradict The Bible which means that they contradict reality. People like Neil deGrasse Tyson will deny that light existed before there were any stars but we know that is not true. Here is the correct order of creation: Heaven, earth, water, light, darkness, day, night & the firmament. But deGrasse Tyson just smirks at that, thinking that he knows better than God. And God has been very specific.
Later on God was going to be making all sorts of things (including stars) but no, for the astrophysicist at this stage not even water could exist.

How does he think the trees grew?

How many ways can you see in there that God is contradicted, laughed at as a liar who is ignorant of His Creation and doesn't know anything at all about anything He created? Astrophysics generally demotes the sacrifice of Jesus to meaningless drivel and people who place their trust in the deGrasse Tysons of this world are saying in effect that there was no need for a sacrifice at all. It's a city in England, and its most famous export is a certain 1960s music group who sang songs about Penny Lane and having a Hard Day's Night. If you want to joke about it, you can, as we're used to that kind of thing. Not just that, but us Liverpudlians have an interesting sense of humour, and we're not afraid to say things as they are (which can scare people off).

As for my genetics, I am of Anglo-Saxon, Celtic, Gypsy (Roma/Sinti), and (possibly) Ashkenazi Jewish (etc) descent.
