      Re: Women

      There's a good deal more scripture concerning it, too!

      "Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee." Genesis 3:16

      We were created to be inferior.

      "Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof." Genesis 19:8

      Lot attempts to let a crowd of sodomites rape his two virgin daughters instead of strangers.

      "And thy estimation shall be of the male from twenty years old even unto sixty years old, even thy estimation shall be fifty shekels of silver, after the shekel of the sanctuary. And if it be a female, then thy estimation shall be thirty shekels. And if it be from five years old even unto twenty years old, then thy estimation shall be of the male twenty shekels, and for the female ten shekels. And if it be from a month old even unto five years old, then thy estimation shall be of the male five shekels of silver, and for the female thy estimation shall be three shekels of silver. And if it be from sixty years old and above; if it be a male, then thy estimation shall be fifteen shekels, and for the female ten shekels." Leviticus 27:3-7

      These verses put a monetary value on our inferiority. I'm just happy I'm worth thirty shekels.

      "When thou goest forth to war against thine enemies, and the LORD thy God hath delivered them into thine hands, and thou hast taken them captive, And seest among the captives a beautiful woman, and hast a desire unto her, that thou wouldest have her to thy wife; Then thou shalt bring her home to thine house, and she shall shave her head, and pare her nails; And she shall put the raiment of her captivity from off her, and shall remain in thine house, and bewail her father and her mother a full month: and after that thou shalt go in unto her, and be her husband, and she shall be thy wife. And it shall be, if thou have no delight in her, then thou shalt let her go whither she will; but thou shalt not sell her at all for money, thou shalt not make merchandise of her, because thou hast humbled her." Deuteronomy 21:10-14

      Women are allowed to be taken and raped as prisoners of war, and then they can't even be sold because of their inferiority.

      "If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found; Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days." Deuteronomy 22:28-29

      If you rape a women, you do have to pay fifty shekels though. Which, may I point out, is 20 shekels MORE expensive than a woman's worth according to Leviticus 27. A great reason why crime doesn't pay.

      "But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God." 1 Corinthians 11:3

      It is through serving men that we can serve God.

      "For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man. For the man is not of the woman: but the woman of the man. Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man." 1 Corinthians 11:7-9

      Another verse pointing out women were created to serve men.

      "Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered." 1 Peter 3:7

      And finally, this verse spells out that we are weaker vessels.
      "Whether of them twain did the will of his father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you. For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye had seen it, repented not afterward, that ye might believe him." Matthew 21:31-32

        Re: Women

        Of course! Women are emotional, illogical, childish and completely self-centered.

        Can you just imagine what a mess they would make of the world if they were allowed to run it?

        Though, I suppose everyone would have nice shoes.

          Re: Women

          Women were created explicitly to serve the men in their family.

          Genesis 2:18
          And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

          Genesis 3:16
          Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

          Further, the Bible is very clear that women are property - less valuable than a house, but more valuable than slaves or livestock.

          Exodus 20:17
          Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.

          Jesus Himself also considered women to be property of their husbands.

          Matthew 18:25
          But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.

          Basically, the role of women is to serve their husbands, to speak only when spoken to, and to make babies. In fact, it is by having babies that women are Saved™.

          I Timothy 2:9-15
          In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;
          But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works. Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
          And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.
          II Thessalonians 1:7-9
          And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
          In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
          Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power

          The man who is being progressively sanctified will inescapably sanctify his home, school, politics, economics, science, and all things else by understanding and interpreting all things in terms of the Word of God and by bringing all things under the Dominion of Christ the King. -R.J. Oops, I think our little troll here is upset that he didn't get the response he expected from us.

            Once again, we are Bible Believing Christians. We take the entire KJV Bible at it's word, no monkey business, none of this "well what it really means is...." No if the Bible says that women are property, then that's what women are.

                Proverbs 11:16
                A kindhearted woman gains respect, but ruthless men gain only wealth.

                Proverbs 31: 9b-31
                The Wife of Noble Character
                A wife of noble character who can find?
                She is worth far more than rubies.
                Her husband has full confidence in her
                and lacks nothing of value.
                She brings him good, not harm,
                all the days of her life.
                She selects wool and flax
                and works with eager hands.
                She is like the merchant ships,
                bringing her food from afar.
                She gets up while it is still dark;
                she provides food for her family
                and portions for her servant girls.
                6 She considers a field and buys it;
                out of her earnings she plants a vineyard.
                She sets about her work vigorously;
                her arms are strong for her tasks.
                She sees that her trading is profitable,
                and her lamp does not go out at night.
                In her hand she holds the distaff
                and grasps the spindle with her fingers.
                She opens her arms to the poor
                and extends her hands to the needy.
                When it snows, she has no fear for her household;
                for all of them are clothed in scarlet.
                She makes coverings for her bed;
                she is clothed in fine linen and purple.
                Her husband is respected at the city gate,
                where he takes his seat among the elders of the land.
                She makes linen garments and sells them,
                and supplies the merchants with sashes.
                She is clothed with strength and dignity;
                she can laugh at the days to come.
                She speaks with wisdom,
                and faithful instruction is on her tongue.
                She watches over the affairs of her household
                and does not eat the bread of idleness.
                Her children arise and call her blessed;
                her husband also, and he praises her:
                "Many women do noble things,
                but you surpass them all."
                Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
                but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.
                Give her the reward she has earned,
                and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.

                Seems pretty inspiring to me.

                  Try reading the right version of the Bible

                  10Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. 11The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.
                  12She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.
                  13She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.
                  14She is like the merchants' ships; she bringeth her food from afar.
                  15She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens.
                  16She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.
                  17She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.
                  18She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night.
                  19She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.
                  20She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.
                  21She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet.
                  22She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple.
                  23Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land.
                  24She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant.
                  25Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.
                  26She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.
                  27She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.
                  28Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.
                  29Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.
                  30Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.
                  31Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.

                    Oh, sorry! I was informed I used the wrong quotes.

                    Here's the King James version:

                    Proverbs 11:16 A gracious woman retaineth honour: and strong men retain riches.

                    Proverbs 31: 10-31

                          • Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land.
                          • her husband also, and he praiseth her

                          I'm really not understanding how you can say that this means that men should be sharing the housework and all the other stuff that femnazi's claim "equality" means.

                          The Bible is very clear that the woman may manage the household but the man is the CEO.

                            so because the book says that women must they have to literally be our slaves? that seems less like a loving god and more like a communist ruling.

                              We're not slaves. God has punished women because Eve fell for the serpents lies. As children we must obey our parents (as male children must) and once we are married we must obey our husbands. Really is it too much to ask that you know SOMETHING about the Bible before telling us how wrong it is?
