A good kitchen needs more than one type of cookware. Personally I don't like Teflon because the fumes it gives off kills birds (canary in the coal mine?) and when I see it flaking I think of how I'm probably eating that stuff. And of course I don't like the new Corning stuff.

Sister BIG, I care about you, I really do but... this silly talk of pots and pans in the open forum has got to stop. Can't you cackle about it with the ladies during Sunday afternoon tea instead? We do not want our wonderful visitors and guests to think this is a Julia Child website now, do we?
Folks, Baby Jesus is having a birthday soon, be sure to be ready for the party. Clean up the barn for your re-enactment.

In the second pull down select King James Version. The first text box is where you enter in key words to get verses those words are in.

After visiting the Hutchins home last spring and watching his lovely wife hard at work in the field. I realised the absolute perfect gift. If I had a wife you can bet she would get a brand spankin new plow, and if she was a real good wife, possible a horse too.

One's wife doing field work? That's why I have "employ" nigras, my wife takes care of the house and cooks for me.
I haven't decided what to get her for Christmas yet but this thread is giving me a lot of good ideas.

These are just enamelled cast iron. They'e good on induction hobs (summer) and also on wood-burning stoves (winter). There is an importer in the nearby town, so supply is not a problem, although I'm hoping there might be a need for one of those steak griddle things (soon?): it does look a bit non-sticky, doesn't it - but I think it is dark grey enamel of some sort. That non-stick stuff IS POISONOUS and I would never use it either. They have a lovely very large frying pan, too but no-one stocks that.

Have you considered an Urban Dictionary gift idea? They are socool. Here is a sample entry:
idk
buy idk mugs, tshirts and magnets
The newest in a long list of annoying internet acronyms, "idk" has become extraordinarily popular with the 13-year-old lie-about-your-age-to-get-on-MySpace grade school slut crowd.
Commonly seen as a BS response when filling out memes and surveys. Double annoyance points when paired with the equally meaningless "lol."

There are a couple of sizes available here:
The smaller size is more readily available, as it doesn't get all that cold.
The camp ovens looked great. Outdoor cooking is fun.

Praise Jesus my Brothers!
I've already bought Muriel two paperback books for Christmas, but found another great one for those of you still undecided. I'm still somewhat new to the Interweb, but this e-commerce stuff is amazing, praise God!
"Lies Women Believe: And The Truth That Sets Them Free". Available from some new outfit called "Amazon" here.
The outstanding cover art says it all. The gullible and naive women, the lie of Satan and the forbidden fruit that she poisoned the man with.
From the back cover:
Quote:
"We are like Eve. We have all experienced defeats and failures, trouble and turmoil. We have all experienced a selfish heart, a shrewish spirit, anger, envy and bitterness. And we ache to do things over, to have lives of harmony and peace. In her book, Lies Women Believe, author Nancy Leigh DeMoss exposes those areas of deception most commonly believed by Christian women:
Lies about themselves: I should not have to live with unfulfilled longings.
Lies about sin: I cannot walk in consistent victory over sin.
Lies about their marriage: If I submit to my husband, I will be miserable.
Lies about their emotions: I can’t control my emotions.
Lies about their circumstances: I just can’t take any more."
|
And the heartfelt reviews and testimonials of the simple woman are touching.
Quote:
"The condition of my book was brand new as stated. It was delivered in a cardboard box which kept the book in tip top unwrinkled or warped shape! The delivery time was acceptable."
|
Quote:
"i found this book very useful in deconstructing some of the standard mantras of today's culture. much of what we have been told from our youth, even from the pulpit, is in direct contradiction to God's plan. but if we trust Him, and Him alone, we receive the greatest blessing. i recommend this book."
|
Quote:
"This is a fantastic book every woman needs to read. I have been living lies I didn't know I was believing. God is using this book to draw me closer to Himself. Buy it for yourself and get a few for your sisters and friends!"
|
It's worth a look my Brothers.
In Jesus
Matthew 19:14 "But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven."

I am going to buy my faithful and obedient wife a broad axe for Christmas, I found that allowing her to cut up the wood for the stove with a chain saw was making her lazy. I thought this one would be just the thing:
Remember this one thing brothers and sisters: KJV Proverbs 26:11 As a dog returneth to his vomit,
so a fool returneth to his folly

I am not married, but I do have a wonderful Mistress assistant. I picked up a little something for her in Chicago today. She is such a wonderful young lady, I don't think she has ever had the finer things in life. Its not much 7 carat ruby ring with another 5 carats in white diamonds. Don't tell her.

You are very thoughtful, Mr Dewitt - and that ruby is cut beautifully.

Brother, do you really think Lupe deserves that? Why, I think she may have even had something to do with Sister Cookie's missing camisole!
You might also give her ideas above her station. Maybe a $10 gift certificate to Chi-Chi's or South of the Border would be a better gift for her.

It is beautiful.

I don't know why we have to do all your work for you. Why don't you learn how to use a computer? Maybe a sixth grade student can demonstrate how to use the Google search engine. [But please try not to abuse them.]

You use steel wool pads instead of salt? My mother used salt to clean hers, as does the love of my life, God bless her.
