My verse of the day and thoughts -
03-25-2009, 11:48 AM
Jn 7:24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
I really love that verse. I love even more that it is in the 'noobs read" page as justification for passing judgment. It shows me that this site acknowledges that passing judgment based on one's outer shell is not what is to be done.
It makes me wonder though; why are there so many negative remarks due to skin color and clothing, especially if we are not to judge according to the appearance of a person.

It's obvious that you have no understanding of the Holy Bible. You are an uppity loudmouthed feminazi and a hatemonger. You aren't even a Christian!
The Bible commands us to avoid fools like you.
Quote:
Rom. 16:17: Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.

Yes, the Bible teaches us not to judge. However, you probably don't understand what that means. It means not to judge unrighteously, it means not to judge using your human judgment, and it means not to judge hypocritically. In other words, don't substitute your judgment for God's, and don't judge other people when you are guilty of impenitently engaging in the same sins. (i.e. Don't cast the first stone).
However, there are several verses in the Bible where we are told to judge.
"Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment" John 7:24.
"But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man" I Corinthians 2:15.
"Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?" I Corinthians 6:2.
We are allowed to Judge if we judge with God's judgement. ie. righteous judgement. Let's take for example the goths. Many goth freaks take the first verse mentioned here as an excuse not to judge them, however they do not understand what this means either.
By saying "Judge not according to appearance", this verse is teaching not to pass judgement on someone who is possibly deprived or underprivileged. It is saying not to think you are better than someone else just because they cannot afford to dress or live as well as you.
It is in no way telling you not to judge someone for dressing like a freak in whorish Gothic clothing, torn fishnet and PVC, and dressed in the manner of a satanic street-whore, because the Bible teaches that dressing in a perverse and depraved sexual manner is a direct offence to God.
The bible instructs us to dress modestly. One aspect of dressing modestly is making sure everything that should be covered by clothing is adequately covered. Another aspect to modesty is not drawing attention to yourself. People who dress modestly dress in such a way that they do not draw attention to themselves. Do goths dress modestly? No. They dress like filthy satanic weirdos. Covered in piercings and tattoos, torn fishnet stockings, pvc, basques and bondage clothing. Dressing up like a sick circus freak is a direct defiance to god.
"in like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; but with good works. Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.. But i suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For adam was first formed, then eve.” 1 timothy 2:9

There's lots to dislike about beaners besides the color of their skin.
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.
