Friends, I may be speaking out of turn here, and perhaps he's too humble to want this publicly known, but I believe I've stumbled across proof that our own James Hutchins is moonlighting as a glamorous television actor!

How did I find out about this? Well, I happened to have scored a heck of a sweet deal on a family size box of frozen Steak-umms, and I naturally looked to their Web site for information on how to make the perfect Steak-umm Philly Cheesesteak sandwich.

That's when I stumbled across this video, and I'll be darned if that's not Mr. Hutchins!



Granted it's been a while since Mr. Hutchins and I have had one of our late night Web cam video chat/prayer sessions, but I'm pretty sure that's him.


James, I know you're a modest fellow, so I hope you'll forgive me if all this attention embarrasses you.

By the way, is that really your daughter in the video? Should I assume you're actively seeking suitors?

Anyway, great work, I'm very excited about your television career. Just don't forget what the Bible has to say about being rich and famous!

He truly is! You don't meet many men who are independently wealthy, yet still insist on driving a commercial long-haul truck year in and year out. I'll bet he serves up a lot of cheesesteak when he's ministering to men at various truck stops.

She's certainly docile enough to be a fine Christian wife. What's he waiting for to marry her off, anyway?

Normally I might be a little taken aback that a proper Christian father like Mr. Hutchins would allow one of his daughters to blather on and on like that, but I guess it's OK because they were in a kitchen, and not in church.

I do not think she may of been one of my daughters though more likely a neice, that might be Mandi or Sandi. None of my daughters are allowed to expose any arm flesh.

Faith Machine, you are quite right about the incesstant female cackling. I allow it in the kitchen and the barn, unless I am there in which case I must have silence to hear Gods advice at my every step.
1st Corinthians 14:34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.
1st Corinthians 14:35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

I must say I was very impressed with how you explained that the bread we use to make our sandwich may or may not be known as a "hoagie role," depending on where we live. It's that kind of sensitivity to cultural diversity that will really help the lesser races to not feel so bad about themselves all the time.

One of the fortunate aspects of my travels across the magnificent US of A is I get to learn local customs. Hoagie, sub, grinder all terms used at rest stops along the federal interstate system. Quite a few also sell sandwiches though you can never go wrong with an authentic 'Philly Cheese Steak' from Pat's. That is where I learned 'the secret' and my goal of the video, to share it with decent Christians everywhere.

When I'm in the mood for a good truck stop sandwich, I'm always tempted to wolf down a big, fat foot-long with enough fixin's that I can barely get my mouth around it. Sometimes I want it so bad that by the time I get to the nearest truck stop (which is over an hour's drive from my home), I've worked myself up into a ravenous lather!

That's when I always try to remember what the Bible says about going into a frenzy of meat swallowing:

Proverbs 23:20-21

20 Be not among winebibbers; among riotous eaters of flesh:

21 For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty: and drowsiness shall clothe a man with rags.
