Just Because it's Written in a Book Doesn't make it True! -
05-26-2012, 03:15 AM
I get so sick of people who let fiction go to their heads and convince them that what they're reading is actually fact.
I heard some girl jabbering to her friend today about how she was saving her money to go tour Forks, Oregon and see all the places where her favorite Twilight book is set.
You better believe I gave her a good scolding about how that money could be better spent tithed to a True Christian church to spread the Good News of the triumphant return of CHRIST when He appears in the skies with a fiery sword poking from His mouth, just as the Bible says He will.
It was almost as bad as the time I had to convince my cousin there was no such thing as the Priory of Sion after he read The Da Vinci Code.

Brother, I know what you mean!
People get so excited about a story, and they want it to be true soooo badly, that they just decide it simply must be true. Once that happens, they enter a delusional state where it's just no longer possible for reason to reach them.
Pretty sad, really.
Bible boring? Nonsense!

This is exactly how Darwinism gets spread. Some old drunk scottsman writes a book saying that humans came from monkeys, and all the drunks in Godless England start believing it.
Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:
Hypocrites (Matthew 24:51), The Unforgiving (Mark 11:26), Homosexuals (Romans 1:26, 27), Fornicators (Romans 1:29), The Wicked (Romans 1:29), The Covetous (Romans 1:29), The Malicious (Romans 1:29), The Envious (Romans 1:29), Murderers (Romans 1:29), The Deceitful (Romans 1:29), Backbiters (Romans 1:30), Haters of God (Romans 1:30), The Despiteful (Romans 1:30), The Proud (Romans 1:30), Boasters (Romans 1:30), Inventors of evil (Romans 1:30), Disobedient to parents (Romans 1:30), Covenant breakers (Romans 1:31), The Unmerciful (Romans 1:31), The Implacable (Romans 1:31), The Unrighteous (1Corinthians 6:9), Idolaters (1Corinthians 6:9), Adulterers (1Corinthians 6:9), The Effeminate (1Corinthians 6:9), Thieves (1Corinthians 6:10), Drunkards (1Corinthians 6:10), Reviler (1Corinthians 6:10), Extortioners (1Corinthians 6:10), The Fearful (Revelation 21:8), The Unbelieving (Revelation 21:8), The Abominable (Revelation 21:8), Whoremongers (Revelation 21:8), Sorcerers (Revelation 21:8), All Liars (Revelation 21:8)

When I was in college, as part of seeing the world through other peoples eyes and making unbiased choices (using my Free Will), I took courses in 'Organic Chemistry'. They had the audacity to have books talking about 'the building blocks of Life' and not one of them had any mention of God. All a bunch of fantasy stories about mixing magic elixirs and then waiting for an ape to climb out of a petri dish.
Leviticus 20:27
27 A man also or woman that hath a familiar spirit, or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with stones: their blood shall be upon them.
2 Thessalonians 2:9
9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
Acts 19:19
19 Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men: and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver.
Funny how that my tuition was fifty thousand pieces of silver
My exams were all open book. So it was Jesus, my wits and my KJV Bible. They tried to give me a failing grade because I replied to all questions with scripture. A sharp tongued joo lawyer took care of that and I graduated with honors.
Praise His Power!
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Good grief, your reading comprehension, logic, and cognitive skills are the worst.
Of course the monkey-to-man thing is patently ridiculous, so they try to sugarcoat it by saying we have a "common ancestor" or some mealy-mouthed garbage.
Let's do an analogy so simple even you can understand:
I have a 1st cousin named Zebadiah. Zeb's father and my father are brothers. The father of our fathers is our Grandpa.
Now, would you say that we have a common ancestor in our Grandpa?
Do you think me and Zeb are different species?

No, 'common ancestor' does not mean 'monkey' or 'ape'. It's not meant as a sugarcoat for that. But you know, how different Chihuahua, Poodle and shepherd's dog are, don't you? And that's microevolution. It happened just within some centuries. And now imagine, that the Chihuahua is the starting point for microevolution again and again and again. The result will not be a dog anymore. I'm sure, you would refuse to call the resulting animal 'dog'.

There is no such thing as micro evolution. What stops lots of little changes becoming big changes?
By your warped logic if two breeds of dog were kept isolated long enough they would become entirly different species.
You so called scientists think you are so clever all safe in you ivory towers of accademia, with your set squars and your equations but does it ever dawn on you to look out to the outside world and by observation and systematic enquiry marvel at God's handy work?
No! All you do is try to prove God wrong and let me tell you pal, that ain't never going to happen.
And you can take that to the bank!

Revelation 22:15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

According to evolutionists we share a common ancestor with fish and mushrooms and trees!

And no True Christian™ denies it. Most of us have dogs.
However, that is the result of humans selectively breeding the animals.
So are you suggesting that you are an adherent of the cult of Intelligent Design?

While that may be true, it requires something that makes it incompatible with God.
You see, your "evolution" from pond scum to human requires millions, if not billions, of years . . . even by your own scienticians' models.
The earth is just over 6,000 years old. The Bible tells us so.
Therefore, macroevolution is an impossibility.

Sure, it's older than just a few thousand years. The exchange of calciumcarbonate with silicondioxide can not happen within some thousands of years. It takes several millions of years. Did you ever read anything about radiometric dating?

We've been lectured by an expert in the field.
Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:

This has to be a first.
A fluffy bunny, cherry picking eviloutionist. Only likes the 'fun' parts about it, like bestiality and abhors the icky bits about amoebas.
