Question: Present for my daughter's sixth birthday -
09-23-2007, 11:00 PM
Dear friends,
It is my youngest daughters sixth birthday in two weeks time. I was wondering what kind of gun I should buy her.
In Christ,

Trent gave some good examples here, but I'm of the opinion that you should take her to the gun range and test-shoot until she's found a favorite.
If you want to try out a complete selection of pretty much every smallarm ever mass produced, you should visit the new Texas LBC franchise. I spent a weekend there after 9/11, advising them on security matters. (Worked well, they've not had a single terrorist attack). Here we are Friday night:
And here's the same driveway on Monday morning:
Good times, good times.

It warms my heart to see that you are teaching your daughter about the Love of Christ & using deadly force; glory be to Him. I suggest a colt 45; she'll be the envy of all the kids in the school playground. You might get her some explosives, too...

I was kind of thinking along those lines myself. While I don't have a problem with her having her own gun; I think important things like killing somebody should be left up to the men for now. Six years old seems like an ideal age for a girl to be learning to fetch wood, get beer, cook a meal, rub her daddy's feet and other womanly things. A gun can wait. Hopefully you haven't promised her one yet because I wouldn't want her to be disappointed. But if you have and she starts complaining, she may as well start learning how to keep her mouth shut too.

Agreed Brother Deaner.
Why, my own mother gave me an Easy Bake Oven when I was 5 and I always baked up the most delightful treats. I think that is why I'm such an excellent cook today.
I would get her and Easy Bake Oven, a nice marbel rolling pin and a set of sharp knives so she can cut up her own fresh ingredients.
Just think of all the wonderful JESUS treats she can make for you!

I agree with the last few posts. If you let a girl think that she should be independent, not need a man's protection, and not have to cater to the needs of men, then she may become an uppity feminazi and even make the deathstyle choice to become a lezbertarian.
This church is dedicated to preaching True Christianity™ and the King James Bible exactly as they are, with no alterations to make them more politically correct for modern liberals. If you think that we've misquoted or twisted Scripture or quoted any verse out of context, please explain in detail how we've done so. Otherwise, if what you read on this site offends you, then you're offended by Almighty God and His Word, not by us.

Like Deaner I've given this some more thought, and I've come to the conclusion that she needs something more feminine than a gun. Any girl that age should be chaperoned by an armed male at all times anyway, so she won't need it.
Here's a video that should give you a few ideas: it's a 16th birthday party, ten years difference but then, girls are girls are girls, you know:
Quote:
http://www.mtv.com/ontv/dyn/sweet_16...isodeId=115362
In Campbellsville, Kentucky, Ariel's peers consider her the "stuck-up, snobby rich kid." Ariel thinks they're just jealous.
Ariel's father owns an oil company and has oil wells all over the country. While the talk of oil can spark a political debate, to Ariel, oil means shoes, cars and purses. And she has no problem getting anything she wants -- including a $1,235 necklace, and during a shopping with her dad, items from the Versace and Coach counters...
Ariel wants to make a grand entrance, so she's going to arrive in her father's helicopter and can't wait to see the looks on her friends' faces when she does.
The party will be held in the majestic setting of her family's 50-acre farm, where she wants a huge tent that looks like a castle. In keeping with the fairytale theme, Ariel tells her father that she wants a fairy Godmother and a fire spitter. "Where do you get these ideas, girl?" her father asks.
Ariel's list of wants continues: a special antique carriage that Muhammad Ali rode in and a band like the All American Rejects. The band has to be big because people at school are talking and her party will be ruined if her dad gets a lame band.
Only 150 people are invited to Ariel's exclusive party, so she and a couple of friends sit poolside and go through their yearbook to point out who's not invited. Ariel laughs at the fact that people have been begging to come to her party and says, "I could care less."
When the time comes, Ariel, escorted by two knights, meets a small group of kids to reveal the names of the invited few on a scroll. The others are promptly told, "You're not invited."
...On the big day, Ariel looks beautiful in a tiara and white dress. But while dressing at her mother's home, she fears that something will go wrong, like the tiara being too large for the helicopter.
...Ariel makes a successful second grand entrance in a carriage with her sharply dressed dog. Everyone cheers as Jacob escorts Ariel from the carriage to the tent castle and the party officially begins.
Ariel looks at the stage with great anticipation when her father summons everyone to the dance floor. She's mortified when she sees that the band is "old,"...
Outside of the tent, Ariel and her partygoers enjoy a professional fireworks display....
Then, Ariel's father calls her over for a surprise. Out of the darkness of the night, two lights from yonder approach. What goes hither? Why, it's a BMW!

If she's anything like my wife Delores, she would probably love a new set of razor blades. They're just the thing to make the physical pain worse than the emotional pain.

WHY AM I NOT SEEING ANY MENTION OF $270 HOT PINK PARIS HILTON ACCESSORY BIBLES IN THIS THREAD?
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.
God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.

Why not a nice babydoll? or Barbies? That's what I had when I was six....My Grandmother used to crochet and sew such pretty little outfits for them.
Or a decorative porcilain doll? I still have the ones my Grandmother gave me.
Children shouldn't have knives or guns; they could easily hurt themselves or others. I would wait until she's older to give her kitchen knives.... Even my mother's skiddish about my show-knives and swords. But those are just my suggestions.

Friend, your granny turned you into a very rare literate retarded queer. I beg you to please open your Bible and ask Our Saviour to somehow help you. My prayers, and the prayers of the entire congregation are with you.

Phooey. Colt .45s aren't nearly powerful enough to amputate a limb... Try a CheyTac M200 .408CT. I have two different variations of it. Although, you might want your six-year-old to work out a bit before she uses it...Maybe put on a year or ten... But a good experience, nonetheless...

Try some in the new .17 HRM. perfect little gun for our little girl. Has no recoil, lightweight, and great for plinking neighborhood squrrels and nigras.
Nice to see you want to start her off right.

HELLO! you really want a Barrett .416 or a .50, but six year old girls can't set up the reloader, so they have to start out with with .22LR, .17s or something like a Winchester .22 gallery rifle. NO SCOPES FOR KIDS! Let them learn the right way to shoot.

Hi, Al!
Right. It's always good to start without a scope, but it's pretty hard to shoot a mile away without one. I started with a scope when I was nine. My real dad taught me to shoot an SVD and he helped me make my first guilly. Give me and Jack a few permits during huntin' season and there won't be any animals left!
But kids need to get as accurate as they can without a scope. You can't always rely on them. And if you want to get really good, best be learning your trig, spin-drift, wind velocity, Earth rotation, drop time, physics, etc...

As in Dragunov SVD?? It may be a quite good gun (though by no means a real sniper rifle) but..
What is your dad doing with such a communist gun?
And it wasn't even an original one was it? But an Al Kadesih! (ie an Iraqian clone.)
Better come clean, young lady.
Isn't it true that your "dad" was actually an Iraqi-russian terrorist who taught you to shoot at some terrorist camp in Towelheadistan??
Somebody get this girl's DOF file! Something isn't right here.

I hate to admit it, but I have a Dragunov, a new, unfired SKS and a ~new~ Nagant in 7.62x59R marked 1942.
