I suppose that I should know the answer to this, but I am somewhat lost. I'd be grateful for any help.

When you die, you go to heaven. Documentaries on "The Rapture" always depict a pile of clothes left behind, and yet depictions of Heaven by divinely inspired artists show only people wandering about in nightgowns/dresses (except the Mormons, and they seem to have branches of Macys c. 1950 in Heaven - we can disregard this.)

It seems that once the naked soul reaches Heaven's Gate, it is directed to the "nightgown/dress" store and kitted out.

I should imagine that, even in Paradise, things wear out, and Eternity is a long time - so is there somewhere that "simply knows when you need a new one?

Friedhoffer, in his book "Auf der Art der Kleidung im Himmel" (1867), after no fewer than 489 pages of closely-argued biblical logic, suggested nakedness in Heaven.

I have never accepted this as a possibility, although Jesus did imply that between men and women there will be absolutely no "intimate contact" - I think there are standards to be maintained, not to mention sights that should not be seen in a Land of Eternal Bliss.

I was wondering if anyone had been divinely inspired enough that they have had it "revealed unto them" that there is a way of pre-ordering a particular style of "eternal nightgown", or if fashions in Heaven have moved on from the Middle Ages/the 19th century, etc?

Hello dear, and welcome to our friendly forums! You seem a tad bit confused. You see, Pastor Bathfire didn't actually say anything about judging others by skin alone. Instead, he's inquiring about Heavenly fashion while avoiding the appearance of looking like characters in a cheesy Mormon painting.

Furthermore, if you know anything about God, you know it from reading the Holy Bible. The Holy Bible is very clear that True Christians™ are commanded to judge others, and furthermore, we do so righteously (John 7:24, etc).

You need to read Gen:30:30 onward for your solution. In the Chapter, Jacob breeds spotted cattle by putting spotted sticks in the sight of pregnant cattle.

I remember reading about when the Americans came to North America to resolve the Indian problem. There were many half breeds just like you. After a time, they were rounded up, given cheap alcohol and all live together on some Godless reservation. So you too, can know you have a place on Earth to wait for God to determine what to do with your damaged soul.

Brother Bathfire, I have always understood that we 'cant take it with us' and that God provides. White robes for the men and appropriate sheers for the ladies. I'm of the mind that in heaven there may well be different rules for different souls. While the run-of-the-mill men and women will be dressed modestly and will behave accordingly, leaders will have different rules. I expect leaders will be men and those men will have around them ladies who dress to please those men. God will decree that behavior of the leaders who have earned their rank will be determined by themselves.

While there may be those who dispute the Bible tells us this, I am merely reflecting what I have seen in God's election of President Trump and the leaders he surrounds himself with. It seems to me God is giving us a preview of the afterlife.

I'm not sure I need to apologize to my Brothers and Sisters here, but the Holy Spirit overcame me and I sensed a need to rebuke the unsaved trash here with righteous indignation. I feel much calmer now, and I think I can proceed to discuss the issue at hand.

It seems that first God created us naked:

As an aside, that probably explains why women are always complaining that they have "nothing to wear" - it's that old urge to return to the Garden of Eden.

On the other hand, after the "fall" and the sin of Eve, there was an urge to get some clothes on:

And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

Now you would think that after Jesus came and temporarily died for our sins that it would suggest that we can go naked again (unless we happen to live in northern climates) - and indeed in Heaven we would be naked without any problem.

On the other hand, other sections of the Bible (KJV1611) suggest that we will be wearing white robes and carrying palms around:

After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

You are on a slippery slope there, sweetie. If, hypothetically, I were to agree with the above statement, how could we decide which parts of the Bible were true and which were not? Is the Bible 50% false and 50% true, or 90% false and 90% true? Are the 10 Commandments true or false? Is the story of Crucifixion and Resurrection true or false? Is the very existence of God true or false?

Who has the right to choose which bits of the Bible are true and which are false?

Being a Christian means treating the Bible as the Holy Book - yes, written by men, but inspired by God. After all, this is what the Bible itself tells us:

6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

I've often puzzled over this question, especially when looking at other cultures, visiting their ghastly countries with enormous piles of rotting vegetables, bowel complaints and imaginary bordello heavens. Very unappealing.

Jesus was dead at last. When He became sin for us His cadaver was wrapped in a particular type of covering. It would not be in very good condition after the treatment He'd received and yet the covering is not merely a funeral shroud. Sin was cast off from humanity changing the universe forever! (Provided we as individuals accept God's promise.) We know this because as Jesus was transforming into sin II CORINTHIANS 5:21 and abandoned by His disciples a young man who'd persisted found freedom by casting off what he'd worn in his exuberance fleeing naked, leaving the old garment behind. It is the same type of garment Jesu's cadaver was wrapped in, a garment concealing the sin He had become. The power of resurrection was released into our universe setting us free at last. (But obviously condemning everyone else.)

After Jesus returned from hell (which was before His body decomposed ACTS 2:27&31) the old garments were cast aside JOHN 20:5&6 LUKE 24:12 and a young man similarly dressed was present to witness these facts.

Exactly as promised, Jesus was not left in hell. He came back. When the prodigal son came back from wallowing in sin he, like Mark's young man, was clothed in a new robe. God used that word twice in The New Testament firstly to describe the robe given to the prodigal son and secondly to describe what the young man was wearing in the empty tomb. When the young man fled naked as Jesus was transforming into sin, the burial cloth was cast off just as Jesus cast off His sinless nature becoming sin for us. That is why we are able to cast off our sinful nature. The type of clothing described by God before and after these transformations are different types in all cases. The prodigal son before and after his sin-wallowing experience. Jesus before and after His transformation into sin. The young man before and after fleeing naked. Jesus made clear that sub-angelic gonad obsessions will be things of the past in Heaven but in the examples I've posted the "after" conditions still include clothes, just not serving to remind us of the disgrace we inherit from Eve. Different types of clothes worn for different reasons and celebrating Redemption in Jesus.

There is no Scriptural support for nigra heaven as Jesus has provided many, many ways that a nigra can put aside his colour for Christ.
