Ohio Pastor Takes Second Wife -
12-06-2015, 11:22 AM
"I've known Reba for a long time, then she moved away and I hadn't seen her for years. I caught something because she hugged me and I wanted to keep hugging her and I realised, wow, I'm really appreciating this woman." (See article below.)
This story, posted in Christian Today, makes me really angry. It’s a classic example of what happens when people twist Scripture to justify whatever it is they want to do in the first place. Yes, polygamy is described in the Bible (Genesis 4:19; 16:1-4; 25:6; 26:34; 31:17; Judges 8:30; 1 Samuel 1:1-2; 2 Samuel 12:7-8; 1 Kings 11:2-3; 1 Chronicles 4:5; 2 Chronicles 11:21; 13:21; 24:3; Matthew 25:1). It’s even permitted (Exodus 21:10; Deuteronomy 21:15). But a pastor may have only one wife.
1 Timothy 3:2 “A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach . . .”
Rev Miller has "no problem with homosexuals." (See article below.)
Quote:
A polygamous 60-year-old pastor has married his 19-year-old girlfriend with full support of his 44-year-old first wife, who referred to her as a sister-wife. The woman is now expecting the trio's first child.
Rev Thom Miller and Belinda, his first wife, married seven years ago and have discussed polygamy throughout their marriage. The idea became reality after the couple met Reba Kerfoot.
"I've known Reba for a long time, then she moved away and I hadn't seen her for years. I caught something because she hugged me and I wanted to keep hugging her and I realised, wow, I'm really appreciating this woman," Miller told the Daily Mail.
The couple became close while volunteering at a soup kitchen together, and Reba moved in with the Millers shortly afterwards.
"At first my family thought that what we were doing was not right. They didn't think it was proper for me to be with a man that was already married," Reba explained. "But they started to come around and now they're happy as they know I am happy."
The couple married at the church Miller leads in Mansfield exactly seven years after his first marriage to Belinda.
Miller used to be a mafia enforcer and spent seven years in prison for stabbing a man in a bar fight. He stole someone's Bible in prison and, while in solitary confinement for two-and-a-half years, read it and met God. He now runs a ministry which visits prisons and is the pastor of a church in Mansfield.
"The whole situation works for all three of us," said Miller. "I am the only one who is allowed to have more than one partner and both my wives understand and appreciate that.
"I think polygamy benefits everyone because my wives get to have a much larger family - it means they always have a friend with them.
"There have been arguments in the past and at times there can be flares of jealousy but we manage to make it work.
"Sexually I have no preference and look forward to my time alone with both wives."
Speaking of her pregnancy, Reba said that the "baby will have two mums, which I'm okay with."
Belinda said: "We kind of make jokes about the baby and where he or she will sleep because we've got two separate master suites - in case mummy Reba needs a break then mummy Belinda can have the baby for the night."
Miller admits that his lifestyle is not fully supported by his congregation in Mansfield, but he does not hide it.
He said: "I don't preach about polygamy but I feel it is a very Christian lifestyle.
"I have no problem with homosexuals but I think it's wrong that their marriage is now recognised by the state but my second marriage is not.
"I'm going to try and fight the bigotry of that - this is America and my wives and I have the right to live anyway we please - providing we're not hurting anybody."

It just goes to show you how powerful Satan is, that he can come like a light and dupe people so easily (2 Corinthians 11:14). I thank God every day for a True Christian™ pastor who knows that if one's opinions stray outside the Holy Bible, they must be quickly and thoroughly dismissed. As a woman, I know I am guided more by my heart than my intellect, and that's a recipe for spiritual disaster (Jeremiah 17:9).
And, not that I'm bragging, but my husband has no need of a second wife, thank you very much. Not because I'm a whore in the bedroom (ew), but because I prayed hard for him to win against his battles of male lust, and I know he won! Praise Jesus! My husband isn't inspired by lust of any kind! His heart is dedicated purely to serve the LORD, regardless of his feelings on the matter (Matthew 21:28-31).
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

Further proof that marriage has become worthless now that Obama has let men marry other men. There's no dignity or meaning to marriage any more so why not marry your dog or a 60 year old man or a particular shaped rock? There's no reason not to.

On the bright side Dr. These fags and buldykes are labelling themselves for clear identification which some of us find extremely useful.
Ecclesiastes 1:18 - For in much wisedome is much griefe: and hee that increaseth knowledge, increaseth sorrow.

You don't catch things like that simply by hugging.

Gluttony. For punishment. I can barely tolerate my wife, Mrs. Hutchins. If it were not for her chores shoveling out the barn, pitching hay, tendig the hogs, cleaning my BVD's, canning, scrubbing the house, cooking my meals and doing all that other easy female stuff along with producing me sons on schedule like a German train, I'd of kicked her to the curb years ago.
But two wives??? That man is either destined to be a saint or get looked up in a loonie bin with all the assburgers and downer people.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

I know what you mean. Having one dripping faucet in the house is bad enough . . . but TWO (Prov 19:13; 27:15)?

One has to admire this man. Sex with one woman is already horrible, sex with two women must be pure disaster. And I can't imagine the constant yapping this poor man will have to endure. I hope for his sake that he is deaf.
Like him I have no problem with homosexauals. Once Donald Trump and Sarah Palin implement Biblical law in America they will be great for target practice (Leviticus 20:13).
Freedom means voting for Donald Trump!
To most "Christians" The Bible is like a license agreement. They just scroll to the bottom and click "I agree". All those "Christians" will burn in Hell!
James 2:10 "For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all."
