Help - my cousin wants to marry an ATHEIST! What should I do? -
09-24-2010, 06:37 PM
It's so hard having unsaved, False Christians in the family A while ago I told you all about my 13-year-old cousin who is tolerant of homosexuality. Well, now I've received some horrible news from his older sister.
She told me she was engaged, which I thought was wonderful. At 20, she was already way past the time she should have started bearing children. I congratulated, ask to meet the guy, and asked what church he attended.
"Oh," she says. "He doesn't belong to any church. He's an atheist."
Of course, I was furious. I tried to yell and scream some sense and reason into her, but no matter how much I warned her that this act would send her straight to hell, she just didn't seem to want to listen. Not even when I started quoting the Bible! She even had her parents throw me out of the house as she pretended to cry, just because I was calling her fiancee a repugnant, evil dirtbag who deserves no place in society. Suddenly the truth is offensive?
She says she loves him and doesn't care about his beliefs and wants to spend her life with her and a whole bunch of other crap. What can I do?

Brother Basher, Pat Robertson answered this very question beautifully not long ago.
"There is no fellowship between an atheist and somebody who is a believer in God. . . . You've got to go find somebody else. Really. I mean either he changes and gives his heart to the Lord, or you go down the road with somebody else. But there is no fellowship between Christ and Belial. I mean, he's going to be serving the Devil. You're going to be serving God. Just that simple. And there'll be conflicts and fighting all the time. There is no middle ground. There is no peace in that situation."
So, be sure she realizes that marrying an atheist is exactly the same as marrying the Devil himself!
Bible boring? Nonsense!

You may want to point this statistic out to her.
Quote:
the 2001 American Religious Identification Survey found that those who were in mixed-religion families were three times more likely to be divorced than those who were of the same faith
|
http://chicagofamilylawyersblog.com/...n-divorce.html
The reference is from a divorce lawyer site, not a Christian one. So she can't claim it's biased. There's also scripture about being unequally yolked with an unbeliever, but if she's willing to risk her eternal soul for "true love" I doubt she'll care about what the Bible has to say.

Brother HB you do as the bible instructs, you turn your back on her and walk away!
Quote:
Matthew 8:21 And another of his disciples said unto him, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.
Matthew 8:22 But Jesus said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead.
Matthew 12:47 Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee.
Matthew 12:48 But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?
Matthew 12:49 And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!
Matthew 12:50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.
and also
1st Corinthians 5:11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.
1st Corinthians 10:20 But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.

Walking away from your family is a hard thing to do but it is also a righteous thing to do.

Be ye mindful always of his covenant; the word which he commanded to a thousand generations ... an everlasting covenant.

Where does the Holy Bible tell us to tolerate queers, atheists, perverts, mudslimes or witches?
Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:
Hypocrites (Matthew 24:51), The Unforgiving (Mark 11:26), Homosexuals (Romans 1:26, 27), Fornicators (Romans 1:29), The Wicked (Romans 1:29), The Covetous (Romans 1:29), The Malicious (Romans 1:29), The Envious (Romans 1:29), Murderers (Romans 1:29), The Deceitful (Romans 1:29), Backbiters (Romans 1:30), Haters of God (Romans 1:30), The Despiteful (Romans 1:30), The Proud (Romans 1:30), Boasters (Romans 1:30), Inventors of evil (Romans 1:30), Disobedient to parents (Romans 1:30), Covenant breakers (Romans 1:31), The Unmerciful (Romans 1:31), The Implacable (Romans 1:31), The Unrighteous (1Corinthians 6:9), Idolaters (1Corinthians 6:9), Adulterers (1Corinthians 6:9), The Effeminate (1Corinthians 6:9), Thieves (1Corinthians 6:10), Drunkards (1Corinthians 6:10), Reviler (1Corinthians 6:10), Extortioners (1Corinthians 6:10), The Fearful (Revelation 21:8), The Unbelieving (Revelation 21:8), The Abominable (Revelation 21:8), Whoremongers (Revelation 21:8), Sorcerers (Revelation 21:8), All Liars (Revelation 21:8)

First of all, your spelling skills resemble those of a retarded person with downs syndrome. Other than that, atheists and gays are hated by God and their lives are worth so little that they should be taken away from them:
2 Chronicles 15:13
That whosoever would not seek the LORD God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman
Leviticus 20:13
If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
To the atheists:
To the false christians:
Feel like pissing off God? Perhaps this will change your mind:
Hosea 13:16 Samaria shall become desolate; for she hath rebelled against her God: they shall fall by the sword: their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped up.

Is it even legal for atheists to marry people? When did that happen? This country is going to the dogs. Atheists don't go to Church, so how can they get married?

Friend, there's a word for that: PREJUDICE.

We are very accepting of people's beliefs, as long as they don't believe anything unacceptable, like atheism.
Quote:
wow first off homosexuality is not bad at all it not really a choice or most they cant help it and it hard for them would the purposefully choose something that can cuase soo much pain to them?

Please provide Biblical evidence for that wild assertion.

Yes, He forgives those who repent. Not those who go on sinning.

Pretty much, yes.

You've not been paying attention. He's not an ethical man, he's an atheist.

Where exactly do we contradict ourselves? Do you know what a hypocrite is?
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.
God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.

You guys realize that the Bible you're quoting isn't 2,000 years old, wasn't written by the Apostles, nor ordained by an invisible spirit residing on another plane of existence, right? It was written by the administration of King James of England in 1611, after having been translated, edited and canonized by dozens of sects, apocryphal groups and splinter-cells of Christianity over the course of about thirteen centuries.
You realize that, right... that there's nothing "divine" about that book? That advocating such medieval violence and hatred would disgust the God you so adamantly claim to revere? You realize that if you were to replace the word "God" in your thoughts with the word "Allah", you'd consider yourself a jihadists, a zealot, a barbarian?
Civilized people accept that they're in a society, and that they never asked to be here (no one asked to be born). We're all in this together; we come from nothing, and we return to nothing, and in between is only suffering and hardship. Whether or not you understand what I'm saying, the goodness that Christ advocated was to lift up your neighbor if they are in distress, to give freely of yourself to those in need, to extend love to everyone because in them you can find not only God but a reflection of your very self.
What you people here are doing is vomiting up a black bile of hatred and confusion. "Satan" has beguiled you into hating everyone around you, and closing your souls off to the spirit of those you so rabidly condemn.
You and other zealots like you (jihdists or the KKK, for example) are all blind to the love that Christ offered to you through his teachings. You've wrapped your hearts in darkness, and reside entirely in a Hell of your own creation through your wanton and vehement rejection of the love of God that permeates the universe.
You should all be ashamed of yourselves, repent your wickedness, and go seek those that you have slandered, insulted, injured and defamed and redeem yourselves in their eyes, because that's the only way to redeem yourself to God.
May God have mercy on your blackened souls.

Hello Paul!
I missed the part where you told us your favorite Bible verse, so here are some of mine!
(Matthew 4:4) "But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God."
(James 2:10) "For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all."
(Luke 21:17) "And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake."
That's all New Testament, friend, so it's <2011 years old, but not by much!
Oh, and please don't presume to call God's Mercy down on ANYONE: you don't even KNOW Him.
Yours in Christ,

For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and any other commandment, are summed up in this word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law." Romans 13:8-10
"“Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. First you say:

Then you say:
Quote:

|
What could you possibly know about GOD or His nature if the Bible is merely written by uninspired humans?
Are you privy to some source of divine knowledge that the rest of us aren't?
How do you know what you claim to know about GOD is any more valid than what we know?

Yes, it ONLY applies to us. Please put down you cut and past scissors Mr FALSE Christian and read the ENTITY of Matthew 22 and you will see Christ is clearly talking about inside the Christian community. That means all this love and fellowship doesn't apply to non-Christians like Atheists, Muslims, or Democrats.

Go remove the plank in eye before you try to scold us.
That fact is Appalled YOU are the one with a problem with Jesus because you are the one who twists His words to suite YOU agenda. We TRUE Christians are perfectly happy to follow ALL of scripture.
Anyway shame on your disgusting hypocrisy of quoting scripture right after you post this
