Everyone is entitled to opinions however it is very cowardly of you to do things like this. I am a Staff Sergeant in the Army stationed at Fort Drum New York. I very sincere about my questian. I just turn 17 and allow to read Bibles by myselfs. So there is these verse I am curiousity about how difference people was's in Bible times. The verse say:

I've heard liberals, like Presbyterians and Methodists try to argue that men in Egypt were running around with donkey tallywhackers flappin' between their legs because of some collateral effect from one of God's plagues during the time of Moses. They say it was sort of like the things that happened to the folks in Chernobyl - where God punished Communist children by giving them extra appendages and nipples on their thumbs because their parents used nuclear devices without His blessing from the United States of America.

My wife and I stayed in a trailer park for 1 week until yesterday where they had three big buddha statues and formed a temple kitchen area .

What the replies were by five people who accused me of offending them about what I said about buddhism and statues .

They attacked me well and truly as a stirrer of good .

I had an experience with the head of a statue 30 years ago when I wasa baby new born again Christian.

My son gave me a buddhas head he bought at a garage sale , I was getting sicker daily and doctors could not cure the bleeding from my bowel or the pain ,so a Christian couple told me over the phone that God showed them the head was causing the sickness so I smashed it up and I was cured .
Another man had same as me he had many Buddhas he was nota Christian refused to believe what happened to me and had his bowel cut out to stop the bleeding he still has the Buddhas I believe ,.

Dear Pastor,

I have recently come across the site of Landover Baptist Church whilst looking for some true and honest bible guidance on a situation I find myself in. Before I say anymore, I am not here to ‘flame’ you, either personally or as a website or as a church, and I hope you will appreciate that I do not intend to say anything that would cause insult to yourself. I would ask you most earnestly to read to the end of this email without casting judgement on me, I believe as a Christian that it is only God who has the right to judge, and to respond with a clear outline on your views on what I am saying / asking.

Background on me: I am a 19-year old woman / girl / female. I have been raised in a Christian family all of my life, and I gave my life to Christ in 2006 during a week-long summer camp in which I had a sudden realisation about what God has done for me. From then, I was effectively hooked. I had a relationship with the one true living God, he was / is my friend, my king and my saviour. There was no stopping me.

I started university at this time last year. It may seem like the story of every Christian girl my age – we start off on fire for God and then university comes and we do things we regret. But this is my story, personally. My start of university was amazing, I got involved with Christian Union and church, all sorts of prayer groups and mission and outreach. I made a lot of amazing friends, not just Christians but I see no problem having friends who are not Christians. After all, who else will reach them and preach to them if Christians reject them as friends? Among these friends was a guy who I grew very close to, just as friends, at this point absolutely nothing else. Nothing. We talked for hours, we laughed at the same things, we knew everything about each other, and we would often joke about finding each other partners! At the end of my second term, we started dating – for me, even though he was not a Christian, it was the obvious thing to do. He was the only guy, and the only person really, who I trusted with my whole heart. I knew inwardly that this probably was not God’s plan for me, and my parents were not happy about me dating a non-Christian. However, I think I had fallen in love with him far before this and so I followed my heart and continued in a relationship with him. And it was great. We often had talks about faith, he always encouraged me to be praying and going to church, and he really understood and respected my beliefs and my feelings. I prayed for him constantly, the idea of him going to hell for being unsaved broke my heart.

However, I am ashamed to say, on several occasions, we found ourselves alone maybe late at night, and I ended up having sex with him… I know that this was not the right thing to do but I obviously just didn’t have the willpower to stop myself. He never pushed me into anything, so it was definitely not him disrespecting me in any way. Anyway, after a few months we faced a massive decision. We came to the end of the year and, although I had finished just my first year at uni, he was at the end of his degree having just finished his third year. He had a job lined up, that would require a lot of training and travelling all over the world, both him and I hated the idea that our relationship was hurting my parents so badly, and there was the fact that our relationship would have to become very long distance in order to survive. With these huge factors in mind, although still hugely in love with each other, we ended our relationship.

I have been struggling with my faith since this happened. Its been over three months and I’m still hurting so badly and I don’t understand why God let this relationship end when it meant so much to me. I am depressed and am having the worst ups and downs of my life. I’ve cried out to God, I’ve got people to pray for me, I’ve read my bible, I’ve done everything to try and ease the pain and set my Christian path back on track, and still I feel like I’m dying inside. I appreciate its all a matter of time, but I still have a couple of questions, which maybe will help me set my mind at rest.

On one of the threads on your website there is a link that says exactly this ‘Your daughter no longer a virgin? Burn her!’ I’m no longer a virgin, but I don’t believe this to be right, neither did I before I lost my virginity. God died so our sins will be forgiven, correct? Sex before marriage is a sin, but I am calling out to God in a way I have never done before. I believe he will forgive me, just as I believe he forgives anyone who truly repents. (As I said before, I do not mean to disrespect your church or anyone who writes on the website, I just need to get my head sorted)

Secondly… There is a thread also saying that it is a girl’s duty to marry a man who rapes her. I am not getting into a discussion on this, but if it is correct that a woman should marry the man she has ‘lain with’ (had sex with, presumably), then why is it right for a sexually active relationship to break up rather than just get married? Was it right that me and my boyfriend broke up or should we have married? Because I would have loved to marry him…

I’m paranoid I’ve made the wrong decision in ending my relationship. I don’t know if I agree with everything on the website but I desperately need someone to tell me things clearly. I hope you will have enough respect for me to do this without feeling the need to be rude.

I hope and pray that God will put on your heart what he wants to say to me.

John is writing to the church at Ephesus against people undermining his teachings. Most likely those trying to force circumcision and kosher eating on newly converted gentiles.

Anyone who says they truly understand that part of John's apocalypse is lying. No one truly understands all the symbolism. It is either something that happened and he is putting it in code or it's some really scary stuff that is going to happen. I don't know.

On the other hand, God tells Ezekiel that He will not punish the children for the sins of the father.

Paul often speaks of that concept in his epistles. There are too many verses to quote, but I will go with Philippians 3:2-3.

Not to be rude, but do you actually know any Catholics?
If you do, can you claim that any of them are 'bad' people?
The majority of the practicing Catholics that I know are good people. They try to avoid lies, pornography, etc. as much as possible. However, being human, as we all are, they are not perfect, and neither am I. (For now, 'they' will refer to myself and the practicing Catholics I just referred to). They do charitable works for other people on a regular basis, they go to Church weekly, they pray for other people, living and dead. I know several people that pray the Rosary on a daily basis. (The Rosary is a series of prayers asking the intercession of the Virgin Mary on our behalf or on the behalf of our intentions. I do not believe (and correct me if I'm wrong here) that you pray to Mary, but again, I ask that you respect me and my beliefs, and I will return that favor).
How could a person like this possibly be bad, or even doomed to Hell? Surely you know that no human has been perfect since Jesus Christ (and in my views, his earthly Mother), and do you not believe that God forgives those who ask for forgiveness?
(Again, please correct me if I'm wrong when I say what you believe.)


Third, and for now, my final point:
"Homosexuals, adulterers, rebellious children, witches and etc. should be executed."


Why? If you believe that God offers forgiveness to sinners, as I do, why should we kill them?
In my beliefs, a person can repent for their sins only during their life on earth. Why should we shorten that time and give them less of a chance to repent?


This concludes my opening, and I still would ask for your respect and openness in this discussion.

Thank you for your questions. I am sorry that it took me so long to get back to you. The reason I say that Catholics don't follow the Bible is because throughout my experiences with them, they simply haven't read the Word. They tend to rely on having a priest tell them what is in it. Now, I'm not saying protestants are not guilty of this too, but the problem seems to be particularly bad with Catholics. Most of their priests don't even really know what is in the Bible. They tend to teach from Catholic tradition more often than God's

Take yourself as an example. You claim to follow biblical teachings, yet you readily admit to not having read what they are. How can you accept God if you don't even know what He wants of you?

Where in the Bible does it ever say that Mary was perfect or sinless? In fact, Jesus goes out of His way to deny His mother (while His biological brothers and sisters stood by {so much for perpetual virginity}) in favor of the apostles.

Matthew 12 46While he was still speaking to the people, behold, his mother and his brothers stood outside, asking to speak to him. 48But he replied to the man who told him, "Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?" 49And stretching out his hand toward his disciples, he said, "Here are my mother and my brothers! 50For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother."

You see? We are not to venerate Jesus' biological mother, when only those who follow His teachings are His brothers, sisters and mother.

All I can tell you is to read your Bible for yourself. It's the only way you will know if it is me or the priests who are telling you the truth. You have to do what we all must do with religion.

No one else can do it for you. Salvation is too personal and important of a thing to leave to someone else to explain to you. You must read the stories for yourself and reflect on what they mean to you.
