Old Folks, Don't Sin Like This. -
09-12-2011, 03:19 AM
To our dearest Freehold residents, you old folks, I wish for you all the best in your golden years.
In today's paper was an article that alarmed me. Apparently, it is becoming more and more popular for old folks to partner up and live together without first becoming married. It is tragic to think people would spend all their lives preparing for their heavenly home, only to throw it all away at the end.
I understand the economics of it. If a husband dies, the wife gets his complete social security share. If she remarries, it's back down to half a share.
So, she might reason, there is a handsome gentleman across the street. We can live together in one house with a higher income and lower costs.
Please ladies, don't tempt that man. For both of you, it is a ticket to hell. Call one of our sympathetic pastors and become properly married.
We do not want our City of Freehold to be know as Sin City.

I would further like to remind all the old geezers out there of the severe penalties on the books in Freehold for breaking the fornication laws.
Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:
Hypocrites (Matthew 24:51), The Unforgiving (Mark 11:26), Homosexuals (Romans 1:26, 27), Fornicators (Romans 1:29), The Wicked (Romans 1:29), The Covetous (Romans 1:29), The Malicious (Romans 1:29), The Envious (Romans 1:29), Murderers (Romans 1:29), The Deceitful (Romans 1:29), Backbiters (Romans 1:30), Haters of God (Romans 1:30), The Despiteful (Romans 1:30), The Proud (Romans 1:30), Boasters (Romans 1:30), Inventors of evil (Romans 1:30), Disobedient to parents (Romans 1:30), Covenant breakers (Romans 1:31), The Unmerciful (Romans 1:31), The Implacable (Romans 1:31), The Unrighteous (1Corinthians 6:9), Idolaters (1Corinthians 6:9), Adulterers (1Corinthians 6:9), The Effeminate (1Corinthians 6:9), Thieves (1Corinthians 6:10), Drunkards (1Corinthians 6:10), Reviler (1Corinthians 6:10), Extortioners (1Corinthians 6:10), The Fearful (Revelation 21:8), The Unbelieving (Revelation 21:8), The Abominable (Revelation 21:8), Whoremongers (Revelation 21:8), Sorcerers (Revelation 21:8), All Liars (Revelation 21:8)

This is a symptom the greed of humanity. To commit immoral sex outside of holy matrimony for money is, in my opinion, no different than prostitution.
Here are the citations (below) to back you up JJH.
Isaiah 56:11 - Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.
1 Corinthians 7:2 - Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.
Hebrews 13:4 - Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.

Pastor, will you be publishing the names of these older ladies that are on that slippery road that leads to damnation, so other older, caring members of your flock, like myself, might avail themselves to saving the souls of these ''fallen angels''?
1 Chronicles 16:15
Be ye mindful always of his covenant; the word which he commanded to a thousand generations ... an everlasting covenant.
Proverbs 30:5,6: Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

A very timely reminder, Pastor.
I clearly don't need a bunch of old, shriveled geezers showing up on my docket. I'm already overloaded with spades and greasers being brought up on charges.

Unfortunately here in the US of A, things are a bit more complicated than just a reduction of Social Security. Secular atheists have fouled things up so badly that the couple might lose their insurance and even the pensions they paid into all their lives. I know of a few elderly folks who choose to live in sin because one of them would loose pensions.
Hopefully, as Mayor, you might be able to keep that from happening in Freehold.
Did anyone else find this statement ironic:
Quote:
Now the Jordans divide their time between the Eskaton apartment she still owns and his larger cottage on the grounds. Three mornings a week, they work out together. In the afternoons, he works on a book on religion in the cottage.

Thank you Brother Bible for that observation. An old man, living in sin, "writing a book on religion".
He has to be an atheist. No genuine Chrisitian would live in sin.

Does atheism include cannibalism, Mayor Hold?
I was alarmed that the religious book might have been about that.

Good question, Mitza.
It's actually above my pay grade to interpret the Good Book. We have the finest pastor/scholars in the world here at LBC.
I'll say this. It would not surprise me a bit if we learned cannibals are all atheists. And, it would not surprise me either if we found atheists in the U. S. do some secret, perhaps ritual, cannibalism.
I'd say if you are around atheists, count your fingers often.

That is despicable! And for what?! MONEY!? Jesus Himself said that a rich man cannot inherit His kingdom.
Matthew 19:23
"Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven."

Have you been reading Secular Commie Literature? Robert Heinlein was an evil atheist. He has been quoted saying, "One man's religion is another man's belly laugh." Don't let the Devil temp you with elicit Science Fiction pulp novels.

I was thinking of Exodus 2:22. I know that some people think The Bible is science fiction but I am not one of them. That is why I am not a cannibal.

Wonderful passage Sister, I am ashamed that the first thing that came to my mind was the blasphemous novel, 'Stranger In A Strange Land' by Robert Heinlein. He was an arrogant flamboyant atheist queer. The worst of the worst.

You would be surprised how often atheists steal material from the 1611 King James Bible and pretend it was an original thought.
