Understanding one’s wife as a vessel to honor, respect and care for because she is weaker is not a popular idea in today's secular world, but where the secular world tells us what we want to hear (women are "equal" to men), Scripture tells us the Truth. The woman was deceived, this we know to be fact (1 Timothy 2:14). Because of this, God has determined all women will be subject to their husbands (1 Peter 3:1). Holy Scripture tells us that woman is the “weaker” vessel by nature. This doesn't refer to her physical weakness (one need not read the Holy Bible to see this is a Truth), but the implication of The Fall is that by virtue of her being deceived by Satan, women may also sometimes be weaker in other ways. For you to pretend your girlfriend is equal to you in all ways puts you in a position of immediate danger, and keeps her in a position of immediate danger. The only way out is to reject the lies of rational thinking and surrender to God's order (Ephesians 5:22-33).
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

She is as she will always be my equal, and I shall always treat her as my equal, I will tend to her needs as she attends to mine. It's called love. Not imprisonment. You biblical text holds no truth, and doesn't feature at all in my life as an individual, therefore I shall keep my secular views, and I'll gamble on the danger nonesense lol.

So much for respecting our beliefs.

I never wrote blah blah blah. I do respect your beliefs, not only that I have a new found respect for you as people, to uphold the beliefs you do in the face of logic, it shows sincerity in your cause.
Some statements have been false, yours have been challenging.
Makes no difference to me what you believe. But perception of all sides is healthy.
If your changing of my reply is evidence of you being insulted, then I apologise.
And I'll happily leave this thread be

Good, because I still fail to see how harrassing poor Sister Mary has one thing to do with maids, problems with maids, or advice about maids.
But he answered and said, it is not right to take the children's bread and cast it to the dogs. (Matthew 15:26)

What sort of beads are we talking about here?
If she is indeed an old papist then the question arises of young catholic daughters they do not have the best of reputations do they.
Do you have a membership at the local library? Perhaps you could check out the staff because when the mother is cleaning your husband's house she is not at home herself is she. Her daughters could be doing anything. See if you can find the staff roster at the library. They often employ catholics I've heard. Does the roster coincide with the home help timetable?
Also I would use the word "concubine" in conversation a bit more than usual and watch the reactions of any men present.
There was a problem with libraries once before I recall. Hope I'm not being over sensitive.
I will pray for your husband (and I will not be using beads, just to reassure you on that point).

They were little wooden beads that sort of smelled funny, like they were soaked in some kind of perfume.
I will take that advice, thank you so much. It will give me something to do as well when John is busy in the day, so I hope he alllows it.
Thank you so much!

That's OK. I've found that other library thread now but it may not be relevant, concerning the strangulation of uppity libertine librarians as it does. Monsters like this
There was a larger version of that linked in my reply I was quite shocked when I realised what was going on in there with all those books. Shocked and revolted.
First it's the vote, next it's open season on husbands. HERE's the post anyway.
