Biblical manners -
09-21-2006, 07:12 AM
Judges 7
5] So he brought down the people unto the water: and the LORD said unto Gideon, Every one that lappeth of the water with his tongue, as a dog lappeth, him shalt thou set by himself; likewise every one that boweth down upon his knees to drink.
The more one reads the Bible and understands it, the more amazing it becomes. EVERYTHING you need to know is in that book!
What other manners are in there?
Matthew:
5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled
10:21 And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death.
10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

Deut. 23:13-14: And thou shalt have a paddle upon thy weapon; and it shall be, when thou wilt ease thyself abroad, thou shalt dig therewith, and shalt turn back and cover that which cometh from thee: For the LORD thy God walketh in the midst of thy camp, to deliver thee, and to give up thine enemies before thee; therefore shall thy camp be holy: that he see no unclean thing in thee, and turn away from thee.
This church is dedicated to preaching True Christianity™ and the King James Bible exactly as they are, with no alterations to make them more politically correct for modern liberals. If you think that we've misquoted or twisted Scripture or quoted any verse out of context, please explain in detail how we've done so. Otherwise, if what you read on this site offends you, then you're offended by Almighty God and His Word, not by us.

Leviticus 14:47 And he that lieth in the house shall wash his clothes; and he that eateth in the house shall wash his clothes.
If you go visit a leper, you must wash your clothes.
Sage advice even to this day.

I found this the other day while studying my favorite book:
Leviticus:
15:16 And if any man's seed of copulation go out from him, then he shall wash all his flesh in water, and be unclean until the even. 15:17 And every garment, and every skin, whereon is the seed of copulation, shall be washed with water, and be unclean until the even. 15:18 The woman also with whom man shall lie with seed of copulation, they shall both bathe themselves in water, and be unclean until the even
Now, those of you with sons know sometime accidents can happen at night and the Bible tells us how to deal with these problems. that book is a source of knowledge that is unbelivable! God told us everything we need to know and put it in one book for us.
Thank you god. Once again, I am humbled by your wisdom.

Exodus 23:4-5
4 If thou meet thine enemy's ox or his ass going astray, thou shalt surely bring it back to him again.
5 If thou see the ass of him that hateth thee lying under his burden, and wouldest forbear to help him, thou shalt surely help with him.
I believe that it means help your enemy, but keep your eye on him because if he get's a chance...when your ass fails he will be behind you to pick your ass up. Not a good thing. I think if I was burdened with a heavy ass, I still wouldn't want help...friend or enemy...it is a burden that I bear.
I Samuel 15:6
And Saul said unto the Kenites, Go, depart, get you down from among the Amalekites, lest I destroy you with them: for ye shewed kindness to all the children of Israel, when they came up out of Egypt. So the Kenites departed from among the Amalekites.
Mannerism of kindness....he told them for they showed kindness and compassion. So he would not wipe them from the face of the earth.

While studyin' the book I came across this dandy for us TC to follow. Lord knows there are many a fakes and deceivers out there in Satans army. Yes they may look pleasin' to the eyes and speak with a smooth tongue, but we know their true intent.

Exodus 21:
33And if a man shall open a pit, or if a man shall dig a pit, and not cover it, and an ox or an ass fall therein;
34The owner of the pit shall make it good, and give money unto the owner of them; and the dead beast shall be his.
If you happen to dig a big hole and your neighbours Ox or Ass Donkey fall in then you have to buy for the Beast.
