THIS story brings a warm glow to my heart. God is calling certain Germans home . . . or perhaps to eternal hellfire! Only He knows for sure.

BERLIN (Jan. 16) - A 46-year-old German motorist driving along a busy road suddenly veered to the left and ended up stuck on a railway track -- because his satellite navigation system told him to, police said Sunday.
The motorist was heading into the north German city of Bremen "when the friendly voice from his satnav told him to turn left," a spokesman said. "The odd thing is, he says it wasn't even turned on."

The man did what the voice ordered him to do and turned his Audi left up over the curb and onto the track of a local streetcar line. He tried to back up off the track but got completely stuck, in the path of an oncoming tram.

The police spokesman said about a dozen trams were held up until a tow truck arrived to clear the car off the track.

Several German motorists have crashed their cars in recent months, the survivors telling police they were only obeying orders from their satnavs to turn directly in front of trains, trams, or other hazards.

I have a question about this satnav thing. Is it possible since trams have similar satelite navigation systems that they are interfering with each other and causing them to tell the driver to go to the other satnav on the train. Therefor causing them to collide.

Nope. GPS satellites only tell the reciever time and related information. The reciever does all the figuring.

The situation is that the Germans don't think of the hazards on the road are to stupid to realize the navigation device has no clue about oncoming trains and the like.

Why, oh why did the military ever release GPS use to the world? Our GODLY military designed and uses GPS to tell them exactly where they are in relation to the enemy so they can dish out GOD's justice to the heathens, not so stupid Germans would use it to go to the corner grocery store!

I can understand releasing its use to GODLY Americans but to the whole world?!
