I never thought I would side with a "pastafarian" but atheists aren't a problem to anybody but themselves, and those who are insecure about their own faith. There are many Atheists who make valuable contributions to society and "sending them off on a bus with the Mexicans" is not any sort of answer. What happened to Human dignity?

I'm afraid Human dignity does not come very high on the list of priorities of these people.

Er, um, back on topic: Like scientologist , and buddhist who also think that having some sort of god will qualify them for salvation and amnesty (and in this case exemption from the interment camps) the chameleon atheist who shape-shifts into an animal worshiper (or false faithful) are plain wrong. The USA clearly says we MUST have singular GOD , not plural gods, NOT an absence of God. Thus our intent and purpose as a Country is specific and righteously restrictive. In the Constitutions' adjunct predecessor (and underlying motivation!), the Ten Commandments, the LAW is >>>> First Commandment: Thou Shalt Not Have Any Gods Before Me
Spaghetti Freddie: your time will come when only "Work Will Make You Free" . And fine Saved folks like me will be your "guidance counselors".

Care to point out where human dignity is mentioned in the Bible. I really don't remember seeing it. Although I remember a whole bunch about staying away from unbelievers.

I seem to recall Jesus spending a large amount of time interacting with and witnessing to nonbelievers. You know, furthering the kingdom and the like. Shouldn't we as Christians do the same?

Can you provide us with the Scripture that backs up your claim?
Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:

The First Amendment says free speech can not be abridged, but it is still illegal to yell "fire" in a crowded theater or to ask a hitman to kill an enemy, because those things are harmful to society and obviously should be illegal. It works exactly the same way with the religion clauses, for atheism it is as obvious it should be illegal so it is illegal. Besides, atheism isn't even a real religion, it doesn't have any underlying truths and scriptures that prove it's real, so it does not enjoy any protection provided by the First Amendment.
Leviticus 26:15-16
And if ye shall despise my statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, but that ye break my covenant: I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.

I unfortunately do not have my Bible on me at the moment (it's currently in one of my many boxes as I have just moved), but one of the first examples that comes to mind is Zachius (the exact spelling escapes me). You know, the fellow in the sycamore tree. Jesus witnessed to him, much to the shock and anger of the Jews (particularly the pharisees) at the time.

Who cares about society? We care about what Jesus wants.
If you were a Christian, you would too.

Oh so we should give in to the atheists and let them run around raping and killing little children??? Excuse me but dying fighting atheists, make that the whole world dying in a nulkear war against atheism is cause worth dying for.
Time to reclaim our FREEDOM from the “Mullah in Chief” and his growing activist voter hoards of socialists, communists, anti-Semites, anti-Christians, atheists, radical gays and lesbians, feminists, illegal immigrants, Muslims, anti-Anglo whites and others.

Atheists still have morals, you don't need threat of eternity in hell to be a nice person. Also, you don't seem to be too opposed to raping children here. Either way, it's a war you'd lose.

Amen Brother BJ! The answer to this question is: OF COURSE atheism should be illegal. According to God, atheists deserve the death penalty!
Quote:
Deuteronomy 13:6-10
If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers; Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth; Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him: But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people. And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die.
2 Chronicles 15:13
Whosoever would not seek the LORD God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.

There are laws against stealing, fire bombing, even driving your car over a certain speed. Heck, there are even laws about parking a car! For the life of me, I cannot come up with a single good reason not to have a law requiring everyone to be a True Christian™. I mean, eventually, heathens do have to pay the price for their foolishness (when they die and go to Hell) but what about those that are already True Christians™ We have to live in the same (fortunately not right next door to) society as these 'people' for out lifetimes. They have no right to inflict their heathenistic deathstyles on good people.
It makes me want to puke!
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Indeed, people who are not True Christians are the only reason why we need police, fire departments, social services etc.
True Christians do not have or cause domestic disturbances, school suspensions or riots. We are the sole and steadfast bastion of civilized behavior in this dangerous, ugly world.
If everyone were like us, there would be order, cleanliness and peace everywhere.
Atheists are a danger to society. By definition, they should be locked up.
