Re: Roman Catholic sex scandal of the day -

Surprise surprise, the Catholic Church got caught with her children's pants down... again. Washington Post reports on a secret archive at the Altoona-Johnstown diocese, which dates back to the 1950s and was opened up this summer when authorities obtained a search warrant. The grand jury interviewed surviving priests and their alleged victims, and compiled a 147-page account detailing accusations against more than 50 religious leaders including priests and teachers.
Quote:
I found myself poring over a grand jury report outlining in sickening detail the abuse of hundreds of children by at least 50 priests and religious leaders in western Pennsylvania’s Altoona-Johnstown Diocese — in my hometown. … I figured I might recognize a few of the accused or some of the churches. I quickly realized things stretched far beyond that.
The names of priests and parishes from my childhood appeared, one after another, all familiar. My grade school priest. Not one but two pastors from my neighborhood parish, a half block from my childhood home. The principal, vice principal and music director from my high school. A priest I once met with to consider officiating my wedding. The priest at the church my four nieces and nephews attended. The chaplain of the nearby Catholic hospital, where my mom volunteered.
I couldn’t believe what I was reading. Two of the priests, leaders at Bishop McCort High School, where my parents sent me and my three brothers in the 1970s to receive a quality religious education, were “sexual partner[s]” who worked together to molest a 13-year-old boy, the report said. They coordinated visits to his house. Once one priest had “satisfied himself,” the report said, the other “took advantage of a victim he believed to be compliant.” One had been my religion teacher.
|
To put this in perspective, the Boston abuse scandal that opened the public eye to the moral and ethical corruption of the Catholic Corporation found one child-molesting clergyman per 22,500 parishioners. In Altoona-Johnstown, the ratio turns out to be ten times worse — one pious rapist per 2,000 followers. Revealingly, the public shrugs its collective shoulders and says, "Oh, again?"
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

20 Years of Catlick kiddy-fiddling - Will it ever stop?
From 21 Nov 2002
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/ukne...sk-checks.html
Quote:
Cleared priest in child risk checks
A Roman Catholic priest is being assessed for any risk that he may pose to children more than two years after parishioners first raised concerns about him directly with Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O'Connor. (See more about this Servant of Satan at the bottom of this post.)
A child protection "risk assessment" on Fr Philip Temple, who is attached to the parish of Christ the King, Cockfosters, north London, was begun only after The Telegraph made inquiries about his case.
The delay in acting on the parishioners' concerns suggests that the Church's tough new rules on child protection are either inadequate or not being adhered to fully.
Fr Temple, 52, a Benedictine monk, stood trial for abusing a teenage boy and admitted in court to being close to the alleged victim and giving him "pocket money".
He was acquitted after a retrial in 1999 and returned to parish work. But members of the local congregation raised concerns about his continued presence in Cockfosters with the Archdiocese of Westminster.
Cardinal MurphyO'Connor and other senior clergy expressed disquiet about the situation. But the cardinal said he could not act because Fr Temple is a monk in the Olivetan Benedictine Order who is answerable to his abbot in Italy and not under the jurisdiction of the archdiocese.
The case could, however, have been referred to the church's new child protection specialists - appointed following Lord Nolan's review - for an assessment process.
Eileen Shearer, director of the new Catholic Office for the Protection of Children, said yesterday she was "concerned that there had not been a risk assessment" of Fr Temple earlier.
Ms Shearer said it was "essential" that any risk to children was assessed immediately when suspicions about child abuse were raised.

Man charged with historic sex attacks appears at Bromley Magistrates’ Court
Quote:
A MAN charged with a string of historic child sex offences has appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court.
66-year-old Philip Temple, of no fixed address, was charged with 27 offences of non-recent sexual assault and two counts of perjury.
He is alleged to have abused 12 victims between 1971 and 1998 in children’s care homes managed by Wandsworth Council, Lambeth Council and Christ the King Monastery in Southgate, Enfield.
Temple was arrested under Operation Trinity following complaints made to police in November 2012.
He appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday and was remanded in custody to appear at Croydon Crown Court on April 6.

Ex-priest admits 20 chiLd sex offences
A former care worker and priest has admitted to 20 historical child sex offences. Philip Temple, 67, is charged with 27 counts involving 12 victims at children’s homes run by Wandsworth and Lambeth councils and at a monastery in Southgate. He denied seven of the 27 charges at Croydon Crown Court.

Paedophilia in the Catholic Church
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/today/re..._priests.shtml
An investigation by the Today Programme has uncovered new evidence that Cardinal Cormac Murphy O'Connor the leader of the Catholic Church in England and Wales failed to act appropriately when dealing with paedophile priests in his former diocese of Arundel and Brighton.
The Cardinal is currently the subject of a police inquiry over claims that he covered up the activities of one paedophile priest - Father Michael Hill. Yesterday Hill admitted abusing more children - some of them disabled.

Quote:
Abuse scandal: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cormac...#Abuse_scandal
On Atheism
In 2008 Murphy-O'Connor urged Christians to treat atheists and agnostics with deep esteem, "because the hidden God is active in their lives as well as in the lives of those who believe". However, in 2009, speaking after Archbishop Vincent Nichols' installation, he said that a lack of faith is "the greatest of evils." He blamed atheism for war and destruction, and implied it was a greater evil even than sin itself and that atheists are "not fully human".
|
That comment that atheists should be treated with "deep esteem, "because the hidden God is active in their lives as well as in the lives of those who believe"." - needs to be explained: The change from the earlier stance shows the clear influence that Satan has in the Catholic Church.

Mr. Temple was eventually found, by the Church, to be unsuitable for his tasks and subsequently sent packing as it were. That he continued his disgusting practices goes to show how the Bishop at hand was correct in his assessment.
Whenever these rare and statistically probable lapses in judgement occur within the clergy, it furthers proof that the Devil is both pervasive and persuasive... even to the point of corrupting a sampling of the billion plus Catholics on our planet and even, on rare occasion, their spiritual leaders.
Why God chooses to allow the Devil to corrupt people of all ilk is His reason and who are we to question His plan. The great thing is that forgiveness is the cornerstone of Christianity and those who seek His forgiveness for whatever their sins and transgression, can count on Jesus who died on the cross for that very purpose.
Such is the miracle of Christ.
Bless you, my nancifull nit-pickers,
Father Mo

It seems like the problems of sex scandals among priests could be solved easily. Nuns and priests could just live in communal groups. It would be unmarried bliss. Problem solved.
Let's think back to the hippy days. Hippies shared bed partners. Women wore long dresses like nuns. All kind of similar.
I never heard of a hippy child sex scandal.
Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

This seems a good idea. Surely queers and lezbeans like each other - they always seem to be shouting about the same thing and one is just the women's version of the other.
Perhaps it might cure a few.

There are a few Catholic priests who come from my home which is Jamaica. They are mostly homosexuals but they all go over to Haiti. They do not know Jah in Haiti and they are all crazy over there. They speak French.
Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: Extol him that rideth upon the heavens By his name JAH, and rejoice before him.-Psalms 68:4

The Vatican's main man they turned to when priests were gay, has been accused of having sex with his clients.
Quote:
Prominent French priest and Vatican adviser accused in sex scandal
(RNS) For years, seminaries and monasteries around France sent students and novices to Monsignor Tony Anatrella, a prominent French priest and therapist who has written disparagingly of gays, if their superiors decided the young men were struggling with homosexuality.
Now Anatrella, who argues that gay men cannot be ordained as priests, is facing mounting allegations that he himself had sex with male clients under his care, a scandal that could have repercussions all the way to the Vatican, where the priest is still regularly consulted on matters of sexuality.
The reports about Anatrella that have emerged in recent weeks also landed just as the Catholic Church in France has been embroiled in a crisis over charges that senior churchmen shielded priests even after they received reports that the clerics had molested children.

Nothing says innocence quite like this.
Sick-ular lamestream MSM "news" source:
Quote:
ALBANY — Not leaving it to divine chance, the state Catholic Conference has turned in recent years to some of Albany’s most well-connected and influential lobby firms to help block a bill that would make it easier for child sex abuse victims to seek justice.
* * *
All told, the conference spent more than $2.1 million on lobbying from 2007 through the end of 2015, state records show. That does not include the conference’s own internal lobbying team.
|
Most telling of all:
Quote:
The Catholic Conference has argued that opening a one-year window to revive old cases could ultimately bankrupt the Church.

Chapter 7 bankruptcy and liquidation - what a fitting final demise for the mary worshiping papists. Could this be God's plan?

Good point, Sister. Catholics distort Matthew 16:18 to "prove" that the gates of hell shall not prevail against the Roman institution, but evidently, the gates of a state trial court in New York still can. Of course, we already know that Catholic prayers are unavailing (John 9:31).

When you think that peak Romanist depravity has been reached, a Catholic will prove you wrong.
Lie-beral JYC "news" source:
Quote:
ALBANY — The gloating head of the Catholic League on Monday ripped into the “victims’ lobby” he says is out to “rape” the Catholic Church over the issue of child sex abuse.
In a vitriolic message emailed to his supporters, Catholic League President Bill Donohue celebrated the defeat of the Child Victims Act that would have made it easier for kid sex abuse victims to seek justice.
|
Because "rape" of the Catholic institution is that much worse than real rape of children.

While fighting against homos in marriage (yay!), these papist clowns fail to recognize the value in fighting against homos in their clergy (boo!)
Vice President Joe Biden "marries" to Sodomites in his home, the Catholic Church goes bananas.
Priest confesses multiple times to raping boys, and no one bats an eye. His "punishment" is to pray to their goddess "Mary" on his fancy anal beads. This priest even thought the kids liked it! "I got the impression that kids liked it, so I went ahead." Showing once again the Catholic Church is functionally identical to a non-church organization when it comes to recognizing the mind and will of God, or even simple Moral Truths.

$4 Billion: The cost of diddling Catholic boys around the world since 1950
For a mere $one billion dollars, Landover Baptist Church would put the final payment on Pastor Zeke's new jet plane, and send him off in style to show the hungry, ignorant, flea-infested heathen of the world that God blesses people who worship Him with fresh food, stylish clothes, and the latest cell phones, and whatever they want and even things they can't imaging having or know what to do with (Malachi 3:10). Nothing but the best for His Children! And the bonus is, Jesus will come back in a blaze of glory, and fire, and blood, and whisk True Christians™ off to Heaven to begin Eternity (Matthew 24:14; Revelation 14:19-20)!
