Tis true that as a woman I carry Eve's sinning. It is true that I commit a sin of Pride in keeping my husband unaware of this heathen's words. I would not see Zachariah once more in the House of Correction, at the mercy of his fierce temper. Although my husbandrefers to me as harlot, he considers me as his harlot and his whore alone. He would become irksome and sore, in contemplating his harlot as being shared with a man who sticks his winkie in animals. My husband is also a proud man, though he never gave me a thrashing I did not deserve tenfold. For which I thank The Good Lord daily.
