How to help American children to come to Jesus -
12-01-2014, 12:59 PM
I don't know if what I've got in mind is the kind of paradigm that Christians in Freehold should adopt. But friends, I just want to share to you a piece of my thought that was kinda related to what I had to go through as a kid in the 90's. With it I welcome any kind of comments or criticism if any of you think that it isn't Christian enough.
My Idea is that: What if we Christians should adopt some kids from a 3rd world trash dwelling countries like Europe or Poland and give them a taste of our freedom. Then.. during their stay in our houses, we should like compel them to come with us to at least three different Churches in a week; make them pray every night and miss their favorite T.V program until all these things becomes a second nature.
At anytime without any reasons we should lock all the doors in our houses. Denying their right to access the bathroom and beat them to the pulp if they wet themselves so that they would grasp the essence of "God works in a mysterious way" thing.
Eating, homework, showers and defecating sessions should not go unobserved; and infact each time these little b@$t*rds have to go to another room they should yell up to the top of their lungs "Permission to cross the line, sir!!".
Now I know that the consequences of these things would turned any kids into an awkward teen- Polish or no Polish- Indeed they will get to mumble when they talk; allow others to treat them like crap and call them turds, because eventually all these things would be a kind of norm of their lives.
Still and all, what I'm thinking here might be a "quick fix" to what perhaps is the declining Christian population in our country. I mean if all these things made me who I am right now (an ex-army forum member who is ready to die for Christ) So why not apply them someone elses kids out there... right?

Sorry folks the title of the thread should've been
"How to raise True Christians"
Job 38:11 And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further: and here shall thy proud waves be stayed.

I stopped reading there. Why would we take them to 3 different churches?

I would suggest that you hang on to 100% of what you call your thought, as you don't seem to have any brain capacity to spare for sharing.

Without Scriptural support I simply cannot come to any decision about your potentially fantastic or catastrophic idea.

Well, taking my adopted kids to 3 different churches of the same sect would beat staying home and being idle at anytime. Don't you think?

It's not just a mere thought, ma'am. These things were applied to me by my foster parents

You're right sorry for not placing the verses. I'm a bit sloppy sometimes.
Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons' sons; [Specially] the day that thou stoodest before the Lord thy God in Horeb, when the Lord said unto me, Gather me the people together, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to FEAR me all the days that they shall live upon the earth, and [that] they may teach their children. Deuteronomy 4:9-10
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6
Correct thy son, and he shall give thee rest; yea, he shall give delight unto thy soul. Proverbs 29:17
Job 38:11 And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further: and here shall thy proud waves be stayed.

I'm still struggling with the idea of needing 3 different churches. Just to give you an idea, here is our regular weekly schedule:
Sunday 11.00 a.m. Morning worship
Sunday 6.30 p.m. Evening worship
Wednesday 8.00 p.m. Prayer meeting - open to all, but a little late for the tiny ones, so they stay at home and instead attend:
Thursday 9.00 a.m. Under-5s fellowship & Bible class
Friday 10.30 a.m. Bible study (this is for the whole family)
So everyone attends just the one church at least 4 times a week. This does not include extra events. Most of us attend at least 2 other church events in an average week, excluding the social time we spend with our Pastor.
Hebrews 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching .

I don't get 3 churches, unless you are unsaved and you don't like a church that is tough on making you obey the Bible, so you church-hop. My schedule is as below:
6:00-9:00 Morning Service
9:00-10:00 Men's Only Service (women and children prepare the church brunch)
10:00-11:00 Brunch
11:00-3:00 Afternoon Service
3:00-3:30 Women's service
And then during the week from 7:00-9:00:
Monday: Couples Service
Tuesday: Men's Bible Study (women cook for afterwards)
Wednesday: Prayer Circle
Friday: Family Preparation Study
"Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands." Proverbs 14:1

Christian children who attend our schools or are homeschooled have no problems finding the Lord. He is there with them. As to the rest, the seething masses of the unwashed and the unsaved: only bringing Jesus back into the school rooms of the public schools will bring them to Jesus. There is no other workable choice.
This will involve seizing the schools. Are we up to such a task? That is the question we should be asking ourselves. Clearly, that is God's will and the righteous work of God, but it is us Christians who must carry out His Holy War.
God judgeth the righteous, And God is angry with the wicked every day- Psalm 7:11

Woah!! Am I detecting a snide tone, son? I know that you are addressing a mere woman, but did you happen to notice that she bears the True Christian™ moniker? That is Christ's ultimate stamp of approval. I suggest you apologize, and refrain from being uppity in the face of righteousness henceforth.

I can see you think your heart is in the right place, dear, thinking about the plight of the children. In reality, however, your idea is rather offensive to the Good Lord who died temporarily at Golgotha for the Redemption of the Repentant Man. You see, the LORD Himself decides to Righteously rebuke a man when he curses his offspring unto the third and fourth generation (Exodus 20:5; Numbers 14:18). For one to then scoop up this descendant and go about as if his condition was a simple matter of misfortune of birth is to ignore the lessons the LORD teaches, as well as neglect the feelings of the Lord Jesus Christ who suffered for three whole hours up there. Not to mention, this invites demonic infiltration into the home of the adoptive family. Pastor Pat Robertson explains how spiritual warfare can bring the battle to the home through such inanimate objects as sweaters, how much more damage do you think an impoverished, heathen child would bring to the home of decent American Christians?

Firstly dear, the "quick fix" is to hear the Holy Word of God, because that is the proven way to find faith (Romans 10:17). Secondly, your lack of Salvation is hardly an incentive for others to adopt your methods. I suggest you read the Holy Bible, discover for yourself what God wants from you.
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.
