Roman Catholic sex scandal of the day -
06-08-2012, 01:04 PM
Given the sheer number of sex scandals in the Roman institution, the pastors have decided that instead of starting a new thread for each one, we should have a single thread where all of them may be posted.
Here is one for today.
Lamestream media source:
Quote:
Jury breaks without verdict in Philadelphia church abuse case
PHILADELPHIA (Reuters) - A Philadelphia jury ended its fifth day of deliberations on Thursday without reaching a verdict in the child sex abuse trial of a Roman Catholic monsignor, the highest-ranking U.S. clergyman to stand trial in the church's wide-ranging pedophilia scandal.
Monsignor William Lynn, who supervised hundreds of priests in the Philadelphia Archdiocese for 12 years as secretary of the clergy, is accused of conspiracy and child endangerment.
If convicted on all charges, he faces the possibility of 21 years in prison.

This is what happens when a Christian church is forced to offer insurance for birth control pills. Those Catholics priests had no choice but to rape those kids after that.
Sad really.
Time to reclaim our FREEDOM from the “Mullah in Chief” and his growing activist voter hoards of socialists, communists, anti-Semites, anti-Christians, atheists, radical gays and lesbians, feminists, illegal immigrants, Muslims, anti-Anglo whites and others.

That is true. However, I'm sure that God is quite offended, after He saw what was posted here. Repeating the names of Demons, even in comparison to Catholic scum, is against the 2nd commandment. I would ask that his post is removed.

And how do you know God is offended? Post scripture to back up your opinions or simply be quiet. We don't really care what thoughts you had in your head about a God you're just making up.

If there's one thing that the Roman institution can do well — apart from setting up a satanic mockery of Christianity and luring billions into hell — it's defending child molesters.
From the JYT:
Quote:
Church Battles Efforts to Ease Sex Abuse Suits
While the first criminal trial of a Roman Catholic church official accused of covering up child sexual abuse has drawn national attention to Philadelphia, the church has been quietly engaged in equally consequential battles over abuse, not in courtrooms but in state legislatures around the country.
The fights concern proposals to loosen statutes of limitations, which impose deadlines on when victims can bring civil suits or prosecutors can press charges. These time limits, set state by state, have held down the number of criminal prosecutions and civil lawsuits against all kinds of people accused of child abuse — not just clergy members, but also teachers, youth counselors and family members accused of incest.

Missouri: Priest to Plead Guilty in Child Pornography Case
The Rev. Shawn Ratigan, a priest in Kansas City who is accused of producing pornographic photographs of young girls he knew, has filed notice that he will plead guilty in federal court on Thursday. He had previously pleaded not guilty and was to be tried this month. Diocesan employees discovered hundreds of images of girls’ [unmentionable bits] on a laptop computer the priest had taken in for repair in December 2010. Father Ratigan then survived a suicide attempt, and was reassigned to live in a church facility where he continued to have contact with children. The case led to the indictment of his superior, Bishop Robert Finn, and the Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph, on a misdemeanor charge of failing to report suspected child abuse. They are scheduled for trial in September.

Missouri priest to plead guilty in child porn case

By BILL DRAPER Associated Press
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -- A Kansas City priest is expected to plead guilty in a federal child pornography case that led to misdemeanor criminal charges against his bishop and the Catholic diocese.
A lawyer for the Rev. Shawn Ratigan said the priest planned to plead guilty during a hearing Thursday afternoon. He was scheduled for trial later this month for production, possession and attempted production of child porn.
In December 2010 a technician found "troubling images" of children Ratigan's laptop computer. The photos weren't turned over to police until May 2011, after Ratigan violated orders from Bishop Robert Finn to stay away from children.
Finn and the diocese are charged in Jackson County with failing to report suspected child abuse to the state. Both have pleaded not guilty.

Canadian Catholics confess their priests can't be trusted with children:
Montreal priests to be prohibited from being alone with children
It's about damn time. And it only took $18 million from the parishioners to pay legal fees for pedophile priests for them to think of it.

The Roman institution owns one German pornography-publishing company and half of another and is either willfully ignorant or willing to lie about it.
Unsaved "news" source:
Quote:
Catholic Church Makes A Fortune In The German Porn Business
"Weltbild," Germany’s largest media company, sells books, DVDs, music and more -- and also happens to belong 100% to the Catholic Church. Few people knew about this connection until this month when Buchreport, a German industry newsletter, reported that the Catholic company also sells porn.
A Church spokesman responded: “Weltbild tries to prevent the distribution of possibly pornographic content.”
Well, it's prevention efforts have apparently not been so successful. For more than 10 years, a group of committed Catholics has been trying to point out what is going on to Church authorities, and they are outraged at the hypocrisy of the spokesman's statement. In 2008, the group sent a 70-page document to all the bishops whose dioceses have shared ownership of Weltbild for 30 years, detailing evidence of the sale of questionable material.
* * *
The Church also owns a 50% share in publishing company Droemer Knaur which produces pornographic books, and so indirectly is also a publisher of pornographic material....

The Romanists are getting scarier by the minute.
Lamestream "news" source:
Quote:
Police: Woodburn priest chased boy down street after abuse
It was close to midnight Sunday when Woodburn resident James Curths saw the 12-year-old boy running down the street toward him. Curths said the child, panting and out of breath, begged for help, telling him a man was chasing him.
Moments later, a man rounded the corner wearing only underwear. He stood a short distance away, trying to wave the boy over as Curths and his sister-in-law prepared to drive the boy to relatives.
"He was staring at us," said Heather Rodriguez, 28, Curths' sister-in-law, who was also outside. "Then he stood there with his hands on his hips like, 'You're really not going to give him to me?'"
Rodriguez and Curths, 35, told the man they were calling the police. Only then, they said, did the man jog away.
The man who chased after the boy that night, Woodburn police say, was the Rev. Angel Armando Perez, the parish priest at St. Luke Catholic Church in Woodburn. Early Monday, the boy gave police a detailed account of the alleged sex abuse he said occurred at Perez's home, leading to Perez's arrest later Monday.

Oh goodness that poor boy. Can you imagine running down the street being chased by a demon in the cloth? That reminds me of the Terminator scene that we all know so well, except this time it's reality. Lord, protect our little ones, and let them grow into decent, God-fearing Christians.

A Romanist priest blames the victims.
Sick-ular "news" source:
Quote:
Father Benedict Groeschel, American Friar, Claims Teens Seduce Priests In Some Sex Abuse Cases
In a recent interview with the National Catholic Register, Father Benedict Groeschel, of the conservative Franciscan Friars of the Renewal, said that teens act as seducers in some sexual abuse cases involving priests.
|
The following paragraph of the article is presented without comment:
Quote:
Pressed for clarification, the New York State-based religious leader explained that kids looking for father figures might be drawn to priests to fill a hole.

Re: Roman Catholic sex scandal of the day -

Today we have a twofer, courtesy of the lamestream MSM in the JYC suburbs. First, the Roman institution blames senility and a car accident for Groeschel's candor:
Quote:
A New York priest says he "deeply regrets" if he hurt anyone by his comments that priests accused of child sex abuse are often seduced by their accusers and that a first-time offender should not go to jail.
The Rev. Benedict Groeschel of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal apologized Thursday for the comments he made in an interview with the National Catholic Register published this week. The website for the conservative independent Register then removed the story and posted an apology for publishing the comments. Groeschel and the friars did as well.
"I did not intend to blame the victim. A priest (or anyone else) who abuses a minor is always wrong and is always responsible," Groeschel said in his post on the website. "My mind and my way of expressing myself are not as clear as they used to be. I have spent my life trying to help others the best that I could. I deeply regret any harm I have caused to anyone."
The friars expressed regret for the remarks and highlighted Groeschel's medical history. They said he had been in a car accident several years ago, and that "in recent months his health, memory and cognitive ability have been failing." They described the comments as "out of character."
|
Second, a former grand poobah of a Romanist religious order, who apparently had quite a history, was arrested in the JYC suburbs for raping a boy at a camp run by that order in Messyjewsex:
Quote:
A former high-ranking member of a Roman Catholic religious order accused of molesting a boy at a Massachusetts camp decades ago has been released on $1,000 bail after pleading not guilty.
The Rev. Richard McCormick, who was arrested in New Rochelle on Thursday, was arraigned Friday in Salem Superior Court on five counts of child rape. Prosecutors asked for $75,000 bail.
* * *
The district attorney did not release additional details, but Mitchell Garabedian, who is the civil representative for the man who made the criminal complaint, said the alleged abuse took place at a camp run by the Salesian Brothers of Don Bosco whose eastern headquarters are in New Rochelle.
McCormick once led the order in the East, Garabedian said.
Garabedian has settled nine civil cases with the Salesians involving McCormick, he said, although there is no lawsuit pending with the complaint in the current criminal case. That person's name was not disclosed.
