Please pray for the Mogadishu car bomb victims! Yes! -
10-16-2017, 02:44 AM
Yes, it is Harsha Shah here. I have not been posting lately but I am thinking that tonight I am making a post. Yes. It is the wee hours here in Scotland but I am distraught. There was a terrible attack of terror in Mogadishu, Somalia, yesterday and there are so many casualties. Yes, here is the citation from the Guardian, a newspaper here in the UK. I am using the quotation tool here.
Quote:
At least 500 people are believed to have been killed or seriously injured in Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia, in one of the most lethal terrorist acts anywhere in the world for many years.
The death toll from Saturday’s attack, which involved a truck packed with several hundred kilograms of military-grade and homemade explosives, stood at 276 on Sunday, according to Associated Press, but is expected to rise as more bodies are dug from the rubble spread over an area hundreds of metres wide in the centre of the city. At least 300 people were injured, according to local reports.
Rescue workers on the ground said it would be difficult to establish a definitive death toll because the intense heat generated by the blast meant the remains of many people would never be found.
|
Here is a terrible image of the scene. Yes, I am wishing that you are not offended by this horrendous image.
Yes, this time I am hoping that everyone is being offended by these horrible numbers. Hundreds of innocent people were not expecting to have their lives being ended in this manner. Yes. The country of Somalia was suffering even before this bombing and now it is suffering more. Yes, it is terrible. I have been thinking that our foreign secretary Boris Johnson is not a man of non-violence, of ahimsa, but this time he was saying was needed to be said.
Quote:
The British foreign secretary, Boris Johnson, said the UK “condemns in the strongest terms the cowardly attacks in Mogadishu, which have claimed so many innocent lives”.
|
Yes, I am hoping that the christians on this forum will pray for the victims. I am thinking that perhaps there is no god but the goodwill will be helping and sending good karma to the victims' families, yes. I am hoping that you are not being offended by my request, yes. I have been angry but by these good thoughts I am channeling my anger to something constructive. Yes. I am sure that your pastors and president will soon join the rest of the world in prayer for those who perished. Yes.
"Ecclesiastes 3:7
A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak."Yes. Women are saving lives. It is time we are speaking! Yes!

I had assumed that you were doing attrocities in ISIS-controlled Syria. Landover has already made sure that you are on the DHS watch-list.

Well, that is their fault. There's plenty of examples in the OT in which either a prophet will prophecy, or God will actually arrange for, the destruction of a city with all its inhabitants.
The cause of this is usually "Forgetting God."
So the picture merely shows His Power and Glory.
If everyone were Christian, there would be no war, right?

Brother King, you're absolutely correct to remain ignorant about worldly matters. But I have solid information from the British government's top man that Mogadishu could become the next Dubai once the dead bodies are removed. That means a big win for savvy investors - I've put $50k into companies that remove dead bodies and it's already paying off handsomely. Ka-ching, keep the bodies coming.

What happened in Mogadishu is an expression of your beliefs, monotheist.
You thinking prayers will change shit is the tragedy.

I'm with you there Brother Toole, and we could certainly solve their problems by the use of our Godly American Military. They could perform mooselimb removal in short order, but history has proven that every time we do this we get criticized. Sure, there's likely to be some collateral damage and innocents get killed, but our smart bombs and drones are getting better all the time through our ISO-9000 quality improvement programs.
Another way is to sell them arms and let them solve their own problems, and it's a win-win as our arms industry gets to make a profit. Unfortunately, Somalia doesn't seem to have any oil and their economy is in shambles.

According to the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Somalia, as of 2012 the country had some of the lowest development indicators in the world, and a "strikingly low" Human Development Index (HDI) value of 0.285. This would rank amongst the lowest in the world if comparable data were available, and when adjusted for the significant inequality that exists in Somalia, its HDI is even lower. The UNDP notes that "inequalities across different social groups, a major driver of conflict, have been widening".[12]
Somalia's economy consists of both traditional and modern production, with a gradual shift to more modern industrial techniques. According to the Central Bank of Somalia, about 80% of the population are nomadic or semi-nomadic pastoralists, who keep goats, sheep, camels and cattle. The nomads also gather resins and gums to supplement their income.[6]
According to the World Bank, Somalia's economy has suffered as a result of the state failure that accompanied the country's civil war. Some economists, including libertarian Peter T. Leeson, have argued instead that state collapse has actually helped improve economic welfare, because the previous Somali state was predatory.

Miss Gale, you are closer to being a True Christian than you think. You think like a True Believer already: you don't really care about helping other people, you just want to do something that costs you nothing but makes you feel better about yourself.
Seriously: my opinion of you as a human being goes down with every post I read. I thought that fundamentalist Christians can act in ways which force me to stretch cultural relativism to my limits. You, however, make them look not so bad after all.
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Miss Shah, are you certain that picture is not from Saudi Arabia? Women there are learning to drive right now.

My lovely Sister Shah:
I pray for you daily, that the foul demons will leave you and you'll find Jesus. The only YES you should be saying is to Him and once you do, I know happiness will follow you like a meth whore in a Mumbai alley.
I have also uttered prayers for the people of Mogadishu, even though the place sounds like cheap Chinese food. If they want our concern, can't they change the name of the place to something like Pleasant Hole Falls or Ridgecrest Ravine?
Well, my beautiful sister, I once again urge you to find Jesus before He burns you in a pit of sulfur and milk of magnesium. He only punishes those He loves. Glory!

Lord, may I serve my equine brothers and sisters just as I do my fellow man. Amen and Amen
