Are YOU a monster?
Take a quick test and find out...
(Go to the bottom for Bible references for these questions.)
- Have you ever lusted after someone or looked at pornography?
- Have you ever told a lie? (Telling a child that santa is real, is a lie)
- Have you ever stolen anything before? (taking small things is still stealing)
- Have you ever gotten drunk?
- Have you ever been involved in drugs? ("weed", cocaine, etc.)
- Have you ever watched Family Guy? (and enjoyed it)
- Have you ever purposely watched any type of media that made entertainment out of sin? (For example family guy; the simpsons; seinfield, etc.)
- Have you ever had sex before marriage? (fornication)
- Have you ever sung about Jesus in vain?(That is your talk doesn't match your walk)
- Have you ever said a curse word; or any other type of corrupt words? (The F word, the B word, etc.)
- Have you ever listened to any kind of evil music that glorified evil?(sex, drugs, alcohol, violence, etc.)
- Have you ever yelled at your parents or disobeyed them?
- Have you ever hated someone before?
- Have you ever used God's name in vain?(Using His name to express disgust; anger, etc.)
- Have you ever given into sodomite(homosexual) or lesbian desires?
- Have you ever dressed immodest before? (Women showing cleavage; wearing tight clothing, etc.)
- Have you ever been jealous of another's possessions?
- Have you ever been angry without a right cause? (Example: Angry at a Christian for telling you the truth)
- Have you ever put anything in your life before God? (Example you spend more time on the television than you do seeking after God) (By the way if you say you haven't you are lying and adding to your sins; there is NONE that seeketh after God; The first and greatest commandment is to love God with all your heart, soul, strength and mind; failure to do this is the GREATEST sin; and shows just how SELFISH you truly are.)
- Have you ever committed idolatry? (Example you say God is all loving and wouldn't punish sin, that is making a "god" to suit your EVIL lifestyle)
My contention with you is that if you have done just 1 of these things you are in fact a monster.
According to the Bible all of these things are wrong. The Bible describes God as Holy, just and perfect. He will judge you one day.
When you die you will either go to heaven or hell.
Think about it. If you're looking at porno, would you go and tell your mother to look at what you're doing? Would you sit down and look at the porno with her? No, because it's a shameful thing!
If you have gotten drunk before you are hung over the next day. Yet you probably go and do it again and again. How foolish. Not only that, but when you're drunk you can't love God properly!
God will not just send rapists, pedophiles and murderers to hell. He will send liars, thieves, those who look at porno, all sinners to hell. Queers! Witches! Whores! Jews! Race-mixers!
Think of it this way.
Imagine the most disgusting insect you can, like a cockroach or centipede. Imagine it just crawling all over you. Why, you'd want to just stomp on it. It's disgusting!
I contend that you are 10 000 times more vile and disgusting than that insect in the loving eyes of Jesus, because of your sins. You make Him SICK! You make Him want to SQUASH YOU!
God has given you a conscience to know right from wrong. You have no excuse. God has seen you everytime you looked at porn, lusted after someone, thought about worshiping false gods; God has seen every evil thing you have ever done. He watches you every second of every day. Think about that. Are you proud of yourself?
Hell is described as torment and torture and it is rightly so. I contend that you deserve that torment and torture for all eternity for the wrong things you have done!
You are lost!
You're heart is desperately wicked. You're vile and wicked!
You are under God's wrath, you should be afraid.
Joh 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
Heb 10:31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
You ever seen one of those winepresses? A person stomps on grapes to get their juices out. God will stomp on you and your blood will come out. Be afraid of His wrath!
Isa 63:3 I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me: for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment.
Rev 19:12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
Rev 19:13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
Rev 19:14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
Rev 19:15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
Rev 19:16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
Consider it like this. When you die as a sinner God will send you to be tortured forever in hell. All of creation will be applauding as God has rid the earth of someone as evil as YOU.
Rom 8:22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
Until you see yourself as this way you will never understand God's love.
While you were yet a MONSTER, God sent His only Son Jesus Christ to die (temporarily) on the cross for you. Jesus Christ (temporarily) suffered and died on the cross for YOUR vile sins, for YOUR CRIMES! When all your sins were placed upon Jesus on the cross He was forsaken by His Father. He took the punishment that you deserved. Aren't you ASHAMED OF YOURSELF?
Rom 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
The actual word used is sinner, but I use the word monster to help you understand just how serious it is, The Bible describes man as evil, desperately wicked, vile, as a worm, as a dead dog, as a flea, and etc.
If you would repent and believe in Jesus Christ you could be forgiven and go to heaven when you die. You could sit at His table and enjoy laughing at the sinners being tortured in hell, instead of being tortured yourself.
What does it mean to repent?
If porno magazines are your problem burn them, if it's television take a baseball bat and smash it, if it's alcohol pour it all down the drain, turn from your wicked ways and turn to the Living God, Jesus Christ!
Desire to have nothing to do with your wicked ways, change your mind and change your action! Stop being a homersexural! Stop practicing witchcraft! Stop praying to Allah and Buddha! Stop Masturbating!
What does it mean to believe on Jesus Christ?
Rom 10:9
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved
Get on your knees to prayer. Tell God your sins, turn from your sinful ways and believe that Jesus Christ took the punishment for your sins on the cross. That He shed His blood for you and rose again.
Jesus Christ is the only Way to heaven.
The Muslims are wrong.
The Buddhists are wrong.
The Hindus are wrong.
The Jehovah's Witnesses are wrong.
The Mormons are wrong.
The Catholics are wrong.
The Wiccans are wrong.
Salvation is a Person and that Persons' Name is Jesus Christ!
Repent and believe on Jesus Christ before it's too late!
Remember this, there is hope for you no matter how much evil you have done. God can forgive (almost) every single wicked deed if you would in child-like faith repent and believe!
Rom 5:20 Moreover the law entered, that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
Just know you could die before you are able to repent and believe, do it before it's too late, before you harden your wicked heart any more! Jesus could decide to kill you AT ANY MOMENT!! REPENT NOWNOWNOW!
Pro 6:9 How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep?
2Co 6:2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succored thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
Jas 4:14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.

Without going into details, yes, I am a sinner. Not on just one item but nurmouse one and ones you did not name as well. It is my hope that God will love me and help me out of the traps of evil. It is my hope hat I am strong in God's grace, and grow stronger in each new day. Since I am a sinner, it is through fasith I hope to ever be right in God's eyes. It is through faith that God delivers me from my sins

Friend, that's not what my Bible says. We use the Holy King James 1611 version here, but I will forgive your transgression as the Word tells me to.
Those people standing there would not be truly saved, therefore they would still be living in sin. After we are Truly Saved, we no longer sin. Those of us who do, were never Truly Saved to begin with.
It's all laid out in 1 John 5-6.

Listen maggot, Jesus doesn't say that nobody should cast stones.
He says that he who is without sin may cast stones.
And friend, he who abides in Jesus Christ is made sinfree (as 1 John 3:5-9 says).
Thus, Jesus expects True Christians™ to cast stones. Glory!

The supreme satisfaction is to be able to despise one's neighbor and this fact goes far to account for religious intolerance. It is evidently consoling to reflect that the people next door are headed for hell.
Such false morality and manners suppress all natural instincts, keep people ignorant of the facts of nature and make them fighting on bogey tales.

I'm just curious. You say that Christians can't sin, but in Romans 7, doesn't the Apostle Paul recognize that Christians can still sin? Granted, they can be forgiven of that sin if they confess, but to say that Christians can't sin seems to be going a little overboard. How should this passage of scripture be interpreted?
Romans 7:13-25
13Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful. 14For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
15For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
16If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.
17Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
18For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
19For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
20Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
21I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
22For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
23But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
24O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
25I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

But within those verses you have your answer; Paul refers to himself. This is a personal testimony. It may be that Paul knew that the Romans were particularly prone to this problem or thought that way. It could be that Paul is saying, "Well, I hear what you say. Let's efficiently engineer a performances based synergy capture and I will lay out some personal, high-pay off, life drivers; and see if anyone salutes them."
i.e. - Is this your problem too? If so Jesus is the answer.

That question has many parts, and you know it does. It is a little ingenuous of you to pretend that it is a simple question.
I cannot speak for Paul, his words are to be taken as the only and entire explanation of themselves. However, if you are sinning you are not Christian unless, and this is my opinion, you are aware you are sinning, fail to repent and wilfully continue to sin.
There will be those, and I see the force of the argument, who say that if you say you are saved and yet sin, then you never were saved. This would put mankind into the position that he would not know if he were saved until God's Judgment. However, if you are Really saved I don't think you would sin.
It's like learning to ride a bike - you don't fall off unless you do something you know is wrong.
As an aside, I remember an old boss who enjoyed a glass of Mint Julep. However, his boss was teatotal and said that no employee could drink on duty. My boss then announced that if he had a glass in his hand, he was not on duty.
