Default Homeschooling Advice? - 02-01-2018, 06:42 PM

As those of you who welcomed me into this website may know, I have recently pulled my four children (Jack Junior, Joseph, Jacqueline, and Josephine) from the gay, satanist clutches of public schooling. However, this thread is not about public schools, but about what I should be doing going forward. Mrs. Redmond has taken the duty to homeschool them, and I was searching for ways to better teach her how to teach our children. Naturally, I turned to the bible, to see what exactly I need to focus on.

What reinforced my decision to teach my children through the bible was in Mark 10:13-16:

13 And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them.
14 But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
15 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.
16 And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.
According to this, Jesus wants to put his hands upon children as much as possible, touching them with the power of the Lord. If I want Jesus to touch my children, the best way for that to happen is to fill them with knowledge from the Bible. Proverbs 23:13-14 also helps with deciding what to do when they step out of line:

13 Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die.
14 Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell.

The Bible has given me an effective method of correction. If my wife also has this authority, she can employ this method to make teaching more effective. If they’re beaten when they don’t want to learn, they’ll want to learn even more! Hebrews 12:6-11 reinforces this:

6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?
10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.
11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.
So Jesus is saying that being beaten by your father is an essential part of being a son, and Jesus himself would beat his own children (us!) for our benefit. Since my parents were horrible, D&D-playing Atheists, they never once corrected me in this Holy way. In that case, I should make up for this by doubly beating my own children. If my interpretation is correct, I am well on my way to properly educating my children through the word of the Lord. If my children protest, a quick glance at Ephesians 6:1-4 will prove to them that they should listen to what I say, for their benefit, and for the benefit of the Lord.

Is there more in the Bible I can read about leading my children to the light?
Any suggestions for my wife to properly homeschool them?
What is the best material to use for a beating-rod? And should I have it blessed?
Any questions and comments on my conclusions here are greatly appreciated! Praise the Lord for giving me this insight!

NOTE: Despite similarities in likeness and name, I am NOT famous Evangelist speaker Jack Redmond. That is a DIFFERENT Jack Redmond.

Oh how lovely - you called your children names starting the same letter as the Turpins!

Indeed. It does make you think, maybe Larry Nasser is a Godly victim of persecution as well!

Well, dear, it might be helpful if you start with Sister Mary's thread on the subject of Godly discipline. Then you could read some of Brother Des' Christian Values Tales (for example, the Christian version of the Snow White). And you simply must check out Brother Jeb Thurmond's guide to homeschooling history and geography!

I also agree with starting with discipline. No doubt the pubic schools have conditioned your children to think critically, weighing points against points, determining fact from opinion. I cannot stress enough how dangerous this is!

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Proverbs 3:5-6

The LORD hates critical thinking precisely because it leads to thinking critically about the faith, and in turn about the nature and character of Jesus, whom we cannot see, hear, touch, or converse with, but can nevertheless live with Him in our hearts - if we know how. No school book will ever teach how simply because it will look like a bunch of gobbledygook passed off as spiritual realities to anyone who is paying attention or possesses higher order analytical thinking skills.

The first chapter of the Bible, which tells us about Creation, contains the phrase "God said" a total of 9 times. The statement, "saith the Lord" appears 23 times in Malachi - the last book of the Old Testament. From the first book of the Old Testament all the way through to the last book, you can find the words "God says". The phrase "the Lord said" is written 560 times in the first five books of the Bible. Isaiah claims more than 40 times that his message comes directly from God; Ezekiel, 60 times, and Jeremiah, 100 times. Altogether, the phrase "the Lord said" can be found 3,800 times in the Old Testament alone! Jesus Himself quoted from more than 20 books of the Old Testament. This surely confirms its authority. What school book can boast the same?

Anyway, after your wife has established a home in which you can consistently count on OFT (Obedience First Time), with a smile, then she can start with the Three Rs.

For my money, there is no better resource than the Holy Bible. My children sit at the table and copy Scripture, picking up that day where they left off the day before. This works on their penmanship, self-discipline, spelling, and many more subjects as they'll pick them up along the way:

Math
Science
Geography
History
Government
Economics
Business Ethics
Pedagogy
Law

Children are never too young to learn the mysteries of the Bible in ways to strengthen their faiths as well as defend it against those who have been taught useless things like Black History Month and Calculus. For example, consider Panin's chart of the Hebrew and Greek letters (the languages that make up the Holy Bible).

Knowing how the LORD speaks to us through the Holy Bible inspires the faithful to learn all they can about it. Consider the glorious and miraculous information found, information that couldn't be made up, that couldn't be random chance:

Now take the total value of Genesis 1:1 2701 and remove 37: 2701-37= 888X3. ( The value of Jesus written in Greek X 3) What's so significant about the number 888? Consider what the Holy Bible has to say:

And there's more! There's enough to spend a lifetime studying if one wishes! And the good news is, this field does not require college tuition! One can do it from the comfort of his own living room! Glory!

So with all this information at your fingertips, I ask, what academic book do you think could compare? Which book do you think is more likely to get your child into Heaven, and which is more likely to get him into Harvard? Of the two options, which did Jesus talk about?

Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

Thank you for the detailed and descriptive response! I will definitely take the steps necessary to eliminate all of that worthless critical thinking cluttering up my children's minds. I'll pass on your inspirational words to Mrs. Redmond.

I'm no homeschooling like Mrs. Etheldreda, but I'm also homeschooling my daughters in the ways to manage a home and please the Lord through cooking, sewing and knowing how to manage the foreigners we bring to the Lord. My father is teaching my sons the manly arts (my husband died and I'm a widow).
