A prayer closet -
02-20-2007, 01:45 PM
I'm building a new Prayer closet for the kiddos. But I'd like some input; what's better, lots of images to scare the Hell out of them, or crosses and pictures of Jesus? How thick should I make the walls. Should I install a video camera to keep tabs on them?
What about a sound system reading the old Testament over and over? Or the screams of tortured souls in Hell?
I can't make up my mind. maybe i should build two?
I need your input.
Matthew:
5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled
10:21 And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death.
10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

Build one for each of your children. I'd say to go with frightening pictures, as the world is unkind, especially towards True Christians. A sound system would be a good thing. You could play sermons for them as they're contemplating God. I'd shy away from the video system. You know how false Christian LIE-beral demoncrats would try to steal the tapes to use in court, painting them as other than they are.
"If thou buy an Hebrew servant, six years he shall serve: and in the seventh he shall go out free for nothing. . . . And if a man sell his daughter to be a maidservant, she shall not go out as the manservant's do."

I have to be careful here Brother Mayfield.
Unfortunately, the Jooz pre-stole my name many years ago when they needed to give their Prayer Closet (Or Prayer Shawl) a name.
Unlike our True Christian™ solid American made Prayer closet, those penny-pinching Jooz decide putting a Shawl over their heads would do.
The Talith contains two Hebrew words. The Tal meaning Tent and the Ith meaning small. Thus little Tent which thet covered over their head with when they wanted to do all that Joo-ish Chanting, Praying and Head-nodding.
It was also sometimes called a Talis.
If you are going to throw the brats in there let the chilren use it then I suggest a Solid Mahogany seat is in order just to make sure they are thinking of Jesus' suffering and not falling asleep. Have a good loud sound system installed playing lots of Pastor Harry Hardwick's Loving Podcasts.
Last of all, a good solid lock......on the outside!!

HE took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha Cumi; which is,
being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise!...Mark 5:41

I would say to build two for each of your children: one for when a child is behaving well and is simply going into the closet to pray and get closer to Jesus (this is the one you'd fill with pictures of Jesus and Angels and crosses and have a sound system playing Christian hymns and other peaceful things which inspire a love for your God), and the other for a child who's misbehaved (this would be the one you'd fill with frightening pictures and have the sound system play the screams of tortured souls; this prayer closet should be a little hotter than the other one, just to make sure you're getting through to the child). You might also want to customize the closet to the child. If you have a... well, let's say a daughter, for example, who is terrified of snakes, then you should have pictures of snakes in her "bad" prayer closet and have the sound system play snakes hissing as well as damned souls screaming.
So if you've got two kids, you'll have four closets total: two good ones and two bad ones.

Are you sure you don't have a little Jesus in there, Undies?
That was the most beautiful, compassionate, and Christian post I've seen you write. Perhaps we're rubbing off on you?

Slow down folks. I don't have any children. I teach at a school. This is for them. More like a camp for helping those without good parents.
Matthew:
5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled

Well, I'm sure individual prayer closets would help them concentrate.

I think video surveillance is a must Brother Eliot to stop any depravity among your students. Youth Pastor Marty has some real disgusting footage from the Church's school's gym of students experimenting on themselves or with others. If this is happening in Freehold you can beat your gold inlaid Bible it is happening at your school.
