A gentle man for a tortured soul -
08-20-2008, 04:34 PM
I recently came across this forum after many internet searches, and am delighted to see it has a singles area. I have tried Myspace, Facebook to no avail, and e-Harmony makes me nervous. All I have encountered are uncouth souls who seem less interested in God then they proclaim.
If you will allow me to indulge my tale, perhaps I may find a friend or more. I'm 26, slender, light complexion, a baptized Catholic living in a decadent upperclass area with greed surround. Aside from my profession I teach Sunday School, and while I'm proud to pass the word of the Lord on to young minds, I'm sad to say it's left me unfulfilled because children here don't appreciate the true Message. I also have a bit of baggage, as they say, as I was fondled mercilessly in my youth by a servant of the Lord on Altar Guild that I trusted. I've turned my life around with the help of the Lord by keeping the Faith, but I still have a deep-routed fear of candlesticks.
I've settled down from a life tormented, and am ready to open my heart once again to a kind soul with a patient heart.

Being that I was 3 months old, I don't recall having much choice in the matter. I'm now teaching in an Episcopal church. I've taught in Baptist, Lutheran, Methodist, and general community Churches. The walls and roof aren't the point, God's message is.
To quote Clairee Belcher in Steel Magnolias, "Honey, God doesn't care where you pray, as long as you show up".
My message is pure, my past is rough. Only God can judge me. I look to fellow humans to help me on my path.

We listen to quotes of Jesus, not women in "chick flicks".
God cares very much where you pray. If you pray at an anti-Semitic Lutheran house, God is angry. If you pray at a "church" which welcomes queers who quote "Steel Magnolias", God is enraged. If you pray at an Episcopal church, with some Lezbean priest, God is disgusted.
If you follow all the commands of the Bible and love Jesus with all your heart, God will allow you to service Him in Heaven, praising Him without ceasing for all eternity. Otherwise, you can join the Catholic Cultists, Lutherans, etc. in Hell.
Here, read this excellent thread on why Catholic Cultists are NOT Christian. If you are no longer Catholic, you should deny their pagan Papist perversions!

As a vessel of the Lord's Word, while I appreciate your opinions on whom God has and has not whispered in your humble human ear whom He (you?) accepts and does not accept as his children, I'm proud to be a child of a God and His Only Son whom no children fear, only love.
As I teach my children (my school children, that is. I am barren from the scarring of the candlewax.) Jesus loves all the children. He loves them and He protects them, even if they do not agree with His love and protection. That is not hippy, cultist, papist, nor atheist. It is not exclusive, because Jesus is not exclusive. I am saddened you find Jesus as a hateful and vengeful person, and I'm sure he is too, as all of mankind was made in God's likeness, whether or not they choose to respect that likeness.

I see no point in refuting your LIEbral hippie love god nonsense here. It's been refuted scores of times on this forum; you're clearly the sort who ignores the Bible and listens to her own "feelings".
Instead of using the singles section as a place to spread your heresy, why don't you toddle on over to the introductions section and properly introduce your God-mocking, false Christian self?

So if Jesus loves us all, even if we spit in His face, why is there a hell?

Wait? Are you saying that the children don't fear you, or that they don't fear God?
Leviticus 19:32 Thou shalt rise up before the hoary head, and honour the face of the old man, and fear thy God: I am the LORD.
Leviticus 25:43 Thou shalt not rule over him with rigour; but shalt fear thy God.
There are plenty more examples of God commanding us to fear Him. How are your kids meant to learn anything if they don't fear the Lord?
Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

That is the very definition of hippy. And besides which, it's simply untrue.
According to the most recent statistics, 270 out of every 1000 children born in Sierra Leone will die before the age of five. If Jesus is protecting all the children, He's not very good at His job. Are you calling Our Lord and Saviour incompetent?
Quote:
It is not exclusive, because Jesus is not exclusive.
|
Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Revelation 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
That sounds a bit exclusive to me.
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.
God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.

Your judgement is not lost on me.
I'm here to state my agenda: I need a man. A solid man, a strong man, a caring man.
A man who loves ***ual delights and expressiveness. I offer **** and am open to ***-to-*****. I was a young gymnast. Think about it.
Good luck with your judgemental ne'er-do-welling in the name of the Lord. ***** is difficult to find, especially when there are so many illnesses out there oozing the Lord's name in vain like a ***** at a nudist colonie. The Japanese have a word for the vainful spilling of the Lord's name. ******. Ya know, there's a wide gap between my strong big toe and the rest of my toes. Think about it. I shall continue to spew forth the word of God and lick up the seeds of real Men who know the Word. I shall swallow every last drop of His praise and every ******* of my body is open to His kindness and strength. I was born with one very large ear. Think about it. Thank you for letting me find some shelter for oh these few minutes, I shall take my experience here and add it to my deep-********ing thoughts.
Praise be, and best of luck on all your Journey's.

Dear Ernie,
Where do you live in NY? I was raised an Episcopalian but but female priests, sames sex marriages and Archbishop Williams' position on Sharia Law caused me to reevaluate my convictions. Luckily, God led me to Landover.
I have an Ivy education (Farmington/Cornell) and live in Stowe, VT. I am looking for a Christian man.

Providing you are a woman, this is the greatest truth in your otherwise incoherent ramblings. You do need a man. A solid man, a strong man, a caring man. A True Christian™ man. One who can lead you on the Narrow Path to Jesus.

OH DEAR LORD SAVE US! There's gay on the forum. I'm glad I got me a wireless mouse. I don't want no AIDS germs getting me. Better get my rubber gloves and clorox spray too.
Matthew:
5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled
10:21 And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death.
10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

Sir, you say that but where are your Biblical Qualifications for such a sweeping statement? I for one do not wish to die through ignorance (although meeting Jesus would be a treat.) For my part I am having my retainer, Boy, do the typing from now on.
