Re: Should a woman shave her legs? -

From 1 Corinthains 11
5But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven. 6For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.
I read it as praying or prophesysing with an uncovered head is basically the same as being shaved and is a dishonour (verse 5) and then, expanding that, if she isn't covered she might as well be shaved, but if its shameful to be shaved then let her be covered.
Thank you so much for helping me to get my silly little head around this. I wouldn't want to accidentally sin but I just plain can't understand it myself.

There also passages that seem to negate the importance of covering ones head during prayer, or that being shorn is of biblical importance. A moot point as it leads back to falling back on the decision of the husband or father. Or both. One would think that being shorn in the kitchen is of utmost importance to maintain a healthy cooking environment.
1 Corinthians 11
7 For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.
15 But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.
16 But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.

None of that really seems like Christian behavior.

I guess you follow don't eat shellfish and murder cheeky children then?
Why did you give me a warning? A good Christian should tolerate others opinions. Naughty Jezebel, I think you enjoy a good anal penetration once in a while. Clean shaven is the most enjoyable. Remember to lube up though, ouch!

Son, I should let you know that my wonderful Husband is an OFFICER OF THE LAW. He will not take kindly to you stalking and harassing me. It's best that you keep your sinful tongue in your mouth before you say something that will get you into trouble.

OK, I'm not going to talk to you any more. You're obviously so hopped up on something that everything I say gets twisted into some sort of perversion in your brain. Let me know when you hop back down so I can try to talk some sense into you. I'll be in my prayer closet if anybody needs me.

Okay we have all had our fun, now seriously are you lot taking the piss with your mad right-wing Christianity or do you truly believe in all of the hate crimes that you type, do you believe everyone who pronounces themselves as being Gay actually is or are they just trying to be provactive? If it is the latter then it is not I that has to be saved, but you.
I hope you discover reality soon.

Well.
We were having a nice discussion about whether God wanted us to shave our legs and Bill R Briscoe was kind enough to explain some bits of scripture that I for one wouldn't have been able to understand.
You then come in. You talk filth about vajazzling (Ladies - DO NOT google this), sexually assault VictoryOS and then accuse us of hate crimes.
My head's spinning. I really don't see how the conversation got off track so quickly.

This is why it is imperative to always have Jesus in our minds. You can see how quickly Satan takes hold and derails one off the path of righteousness.
This thread can serve as an allegory to Lucifer's nefarious influence on a person of weak faith's mind. One simple thought including a lifestyle that is not one with Jesus' Word and it rapidly devolves into deviant sexual obsession.
You and the other True Christians of this board are lucky, though, that you are so diligent and remain steadfast in your faith. I cannot see this ever happening to one of the Righteous© of God's favorite forum!

Yes we should shave, because hairy legs pertaineth to a man, and Deuteronomy 22:5 says that we should not do that which men do. Men have body hair. And they smell. Body hair traps odors. Women don't need to smell like men.

Leviticus 14:8 And he that is to be cleansed shall wash his clothes, and shave off all his hair, and wash himself in water, that he may be clean: and after that he shall come into the camp, and shall tarry abroad out of his tent seven days.
This is all I'm aware of in terms of shaving hair.
But if you think about it, if a woman shaves it can only really mean she is a wanton whore hoping to have adulterous sex with the first innocent young buck she can snare in her devilish claws.
That woman are deceitful and vain creatures is a known fact.
Proverbs 31:30 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised. Harlots don't fear the Lord.
Hairy women are less likely to be able to tempt men into their musky clutches.
Amos 7:17 Therefore thus saith the LORD; Thy wife shall be an harlot in the city, and thy sons and thy daughters shall fall by the sword, and thy land shall be divided by line; and thou shalt die in a polluted land: and Israel shall surely go into captivity forth of his land.
My worry is that women shaving is going to mean potential Christian sons are going to get put to the sword. It's not ideal for the daughters, either (but arguably they only contribute to the problem, anyway).

Ahem--
I know for a fact that lesbians do not shave and, in fact, flaunt the silken fuzz on their calves. Therefore, it seems that True Christian Ladies must either shave, melt, or possibly painfully pluck their leg follicles as a sign to their True Lord and Savior that such a debased choice would never ever enter their minds.
