Pope Francis says the Catholic "church" should apologize to homosexuals. -
06-27-2016, 12:27 PM
From the JYT:
Quote:
Pope Francis said on Sunday that Christians and the Roman Catholic Church should seek forgiveness from gays for the way they had treated them.
Speaking to reporters aboard a plane taking him back to Rome from Armenia, the pope also said the church should ask forgiveness for the way it has treated women, for turning a blind eye to child labor and for “blessing so many weapons” in the past.
|
The Roman institution can apologize all it likes, but why bring actual Christians into it? I will never apologize on behalf of God Almighty because He said what He said about faggotry. We all knew that the unholy "fathers" don't follow the Bible, but His Unholiness makes it clear that he follows modern political correctness instead.
This church is dedicated to preaching True Christianity™ and the King James Bible exactly as they are, with no alterations to make them more politically correct for modern liberals. If you think that we've misquoted or twisted Scripture or quoted any verse out of context, please explain in detail how we've done so. Otherwise, if what you read on this site offends you, then you're offended by Almighty God and His Word, not by us.

Well I think they should apologize to the gays. They should apologize for deceiving them and telling them that if they just keep their naughty bits in their pants at all times, pray to Mary, trust in some kind of efficiency in the Rosary, they can eat a magic cracker and poop out the remains of their savior and go to Heaven! What an absurdly ridiculous concept!
To be fair though, this pedophile-lover at least has the decency to stand with Kim Davis, thanking her for her courage, and encouraging her to "stay strong" against "judicial tyranny," as well as warn the world that trannies are more dangerous than nuclear weapons. Just goes to show you, even a broken clock is right twice a day.
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

It's really getting tiresome - it seems that popes have been "apologizing" for something ever since I can remember.
It usually starts out as "errors of the church" over the last 2,000 years - then quickly turns to human rights violations and the economic injustices of capitalism, Catholic lapses, religious intolerance and injustice toward Jews, women, indigenous peoples, immigrants, the poor and the unborn, sins against the people of Israel and the failure of Catholics to help Jews during the Holocaust, violation of the rights of ethnic groups and peoples and shown contempt for their cultures and religious traditions, discrimination against women, Crusades, the Inquisition, holy wars, the burning of heretics and the forced conversions of Indians and Africans, Nazis, slavery, sexual predator priests, and oh - don't forget Galileo. And now it's the homos, child labor and for "blessing so many weapons" - next it will be binary genderism.
It's enough to make you sick, and at least as bad as (if not worse) than Obama.
Hell's foundations quiver at the shout of praise;
brothers, lift your voices, loud your anthems raise.
...and get off my lawn

This pope does seem keen to apologize to everyone and anyone. I would be more impressed - not a great deal more, but maybe a little bit more - if he apologized to those homers who were led into sin by having their youthful bottoms violated by the local priests. The others, well ... it's entirely their own fault.
Who even cares if the pope is rude about them, though? He can say what he likes about me, it's water off a duck's back. I'd be more offended if the pope said good things about me.
Vaccinated by the love of Jesus!!!

Right? You'd think if Jesus really did create the Catholic church to " serve as the repository of His teaching, and should be the means of applying to all men the fruits of the redemption He had wrought," it would get a things right the first time.

Right? You'd think if Jesus really did create the Catholic church to " continue to the end of time, which should serve as the repository of His teaching, and should be the means of applying to all men the fruits of the redemption He had wrought," it would get things right the first time.

We here at Landover Baptist Church have been at the forefront of the battle to save our country from homers. We have been fighting the good fight for 100 years.
Out of nowhere comes the Popemobile loudspeakers blasting "forgiveness, forgiveness". This undermines the righteous work of Landover Baptist.
Instead of us needing to apologize we need to give that Pope an apolokick in the behind.
Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

Considering how many 'Pastors' here have closets so big they have their own zip-code, one might think that this comment by His Holiness would be taken as a truce offering!
As The Church of Rome continues to grow in leaps and bounds, and as periphery cults like LBC wither and die on the vine of no substance, we are witnessing the real-time actions of a Saint in the making.
Pope Francis has taken helm of the good ship Christian Beliefs and steered it towards an enviable berth in our collective moral marina. He is a unique and special gift to all of us from Jesus, who built His Church on the rock of Saint Peter 1,500 hundred years before a few disgruntled Germans decided to serve Satan's agenda.
Instead of mocking His Holiness, the denizens of this on-line trailer park should be taking a careful look inside what is left of their diabetic hearts and asking themselves why they are not part of the Christian awakening Pope Francis is leading.
Bless you, my macropodine leapers of logic,
Father Mo
