We've covered the subject of rape here at Landover quite extensively (even self rape) and the consistent theme of our research concludes it is almost entirely the women's fault. While we do not condone rape (I would rather see my son marry under traditional Baptist courting than a rape marriage Deuteronomy 22:28-29) it is not always not a "bad" thing; many loving marriages have come from rapes - just look at Abigail and I, we're going on 25 years now!!

However, there seems to be an epidemic of college rapes and these women not marrying their rapists (instead, focusing on a career). It's a problem, but one sensible woman by the name of Phyllis Schlafly has the solution: BAN WOMEN FROM GOING TO COLLEGE!!

Why a woman would want to go to college in the first place is beyond me. What happened to the traditional role of women? Get married, take care of the house, have a quiver full of children and submit to their husbands (as the Bible tells them Genesis 2:18, 1st Corinthians 11:3, 1st Corinthians 11:9).

In a predictably horrifying editorial for World Net Daily, Schlafly pontificates on a recent controversial story from the New York Times about the changing demographics of college campuses. Since at least 2000, women have made up the majority -- about 57 percent -- of enrollments at American colleges, mostly because women tend to have higher grades and drop out of school at lower rates.

The result, says the New York Times, is a social climate where women compete for a dwindling pool of eligible men. (It's basically the opposite of what happens at Missouri University of Science and Technology, which is three-quarters male and holds a hell of a St. Patrick's Day party, ladies.)

Schlafly finds this to be appalling. When there are more women than men on campus, she says, the beauty of a courtship romance gives way to grinding and gettin' it on.

"Girls do not want to get left out in the cold, so they compete for men on men's terms," Schlafly says in her editorial. "This results in more casual hook-ups that are dead-end encounters with no future and no real romantic relationships."

With all these horny ladies competing for sex "on men's terms," how could a college lad be expected to ask for consent before sex?

"The imbalance of far more women than men at colleges has been a factor in the various sex scandals that have made news in the last couple of years," Schlafly says.

So college men would rape less if there weren't so many consensual-sex-seeking college women to prey upon? Another gem of Schlafly wisdom.

Brilliant!! Let's summarize her plan:

Don't worry, though, because Schlafly also provides us with three solutions for halting the problem of women over-enrolling in college:

1. Stop letting more women enroll to colleges than men. It's affirmative action for men!

2. Stop granting college loans. Then students would actually have to spend their time working instead of slutting it up at bars and frat houses. They could work the 48 hours per week needed to pay for their course load and then live, oh I don't know, on the streets?

3. Bring back men's sports that were cut by "an extremist feminist application of Title IX." More sports for men means more men...and less rape, apparently.

So thanks, Schlafly (who is an aunt-by-marriage, and otherwise entirely separate from, the brewery founder Tom Schlalfly), for trying, but we have a feeling that blocking women from college, financial assistance and sports won't stop men from raping them.

OK ok, it won't stop women from getting themselves raped (1st Timothy 2:9). However, if they are not in college there is a greater chance she'll do the right thing and marry, start a family and become an obedient True Christian™ wife instead of focusing on a useless "career".

The only career a woman should have is taking care of her husband/home. PERIOD!!

Maybe not, but it will stop them from getting themselves raped in college, which is the only problem being discussed here. So this epidemic of college rapes will just go away and everyone will be happy..

Is this real!? Are they actually aggravating their situation by refusing to give the rapist the severe punishment that fits the crime perfectly (with glorious exceptions such as your Godly marriage, Brother)?

These females fail to understand that as victims of involuntary fornication they have still committed wickedness, adultery, an abomination and their only slim chance of Salvation thereafter is to live in a decent but fertile relationship.

Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.

This states that the unfortunate misdemeanor of forced intercourse need not stain the remaining life of a woman. And, if your suggestion is followed, these incidents will become even rarer. One word of caution, though. I would recommend college life only for the most pious of young youths as the seductive whispers of sodomy will be even louder in the ears of these boys when women no longer swarm our colleges.

It's hard to understand that a woman, victim, does not want the rapist punished.

Marko, You have a good point. I don't believe these women were ever raped. They throw their naked bodies at these young men, cooters gaping and big bouncy silicon breasts heaving in these poor innocent men's faces.

The next day when they sober up from the excesses of booze, they realise that Jesus saw what they were doing and know they are destined for eternal hellfire. So they blame the poor young boys for it. But they think that Jesus will believe their lies. Can you believe that?

If anything, it's the women who are the rapists! Yes, of course they claim rape - but it's them who are the rapists, the adulterers and the fornicators. They force the young men's limp tallywhackers into their wet cooters. Whores, sluts and rapists - the lot of them.

Kudos to Schlafly for using the term "sex scandals" to refer to college rapes! I think the term accurately conveys the unseemly natures of the situations college co-eds so often get themselves into.

I often experience myself that I am ok with seeing a woman in public here and there. But nowadays they are everywhere.

Lately I visited a store for clothing and as I was walking and concentrated on my prayers ( I do that often while walking) I found myself in the woman underwear section.
There was a woman looking for one of these things that they wear to hold their breasts and I was watching her. Then I realised that I am in a place of sexual-inmorality and I immediatly left the place.

But what world do we live in where men and woman buy their underwear in the same shop?

I'm pretty sure they mostly major in media studies, mostly how to be the woman on the six o'clock news. I know the local schools where I live graduate about 5,000 anchor women a year, at least.
