do you truly believe it impossible to not worship? I certainly don't worship anything or anyone as I'm sure is true with many atheists. it's true that many people do in a sense or worship even without religion or celebrity culture wouldn't be such a big thing but there are those who prefer logic and the reality that people are imperfect.

Okay, first, I am an Atheist, I am not here to mock anyone, I am just here to share my thoughts on this post. The fact that you think that all "Queers" are atheist shows that you have in fact never met a "queer", I know many gay people who are Christians, and they are all great people who I care deeply about. I don't understand how you can say such vile things, then call yourselves "True Christians". "True Christians" are supposed to treat everyone how they would like to be treated, so would you like to be treated like dirt? How would you feel if you were called "Dirty" for your religion, I've seen people being called "Filthy Jews" or "Feminazi bitches" because they chose to speak out against the hate that is spread on this hole of a website. Do you study the bible so much that you no longer realise the real world uses for the Bible's teachings? Do you not realise that you are supposed to "Love thy neighbour as thyself"?

The correct word is persecuted. And I guess that is fine as it is written in the Bible (Matthew 5:10-12). In a way, those people are doing God´s work. That is, if you believe in the Christian God, and those ¨harassers¨ who do will end up wailing and gnashing their teeth in a lake of fire and brimstone.

Listen, different people interpret the Bible very differently, I have not read all of it, nor do I care to, for I do not believe in any god. However, I went to a christian primary school/ elementary school and was told that "God is real! You will go to hell if you sin! Gays should not marry!" But do you know why I didn't believe them? I had a different interpretation to the tiny amount of parts of the bible they had shown us. They told me to treat everyone as I would want to be treated, and that if I did so, I would be rewarded for my kindness, however, they also told me that being gay is sinful, so I was scared that I would turn out gay, and that I would go to hell. But my parents were kind, and so said to me "We are atheists, but you can believe whatever you want to believe." I soon learnt about science when I went to high school, I realised that people have different faiths and soon I realised that there are many things that disprove creationism and other Christian beliefs (Theory of evolution, cosmic background radiation, the Theory of the Big Bang)

First of all, you can convert to atheism, as converting is a synonym of changing, and converting to atheism is a change in religion.
Second of all, how dare you! Everyone deserves some respect, and if you are saying that you are above anyone else, you are worthy of the least amount of respect I can give you. However, that is still some. In my eyes, we are all worthy of respect, but how much respect depends on what you do. I have little respect for the bigots on this site, not that everyone on here is necessarily bigoted, but some people I have seen on here are rape justifiers, homophobes, transphobes and racists.
Third, if you had offered to pray for me, I would respect that, and thank you sincerely, as that is a very kind thing to say. I actually pay for two children to go to school in Africa, and they often say "We include you in our prayers" in their letters. I always thank them, as they are very kind, and they cannot give me anything at all but prayers.
Sometimes I wonder if the people on this site that are racist, homophobic or transphobic actually speak the way they do online.

But, for the record, I said nothing of the kind. I said respect has to be earned. I don't expect it from you, obviously. This is a good thing, as you have shown me absolutely none.
