Book, chapter, and verse for that distinction, please?

Proverbs 13:24
He who spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is careful to discipline him.
Yes, if it IS God's will, then it will happen. And if it is not God's will, no need to worry about it.

Proverbs 13:24
He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.
(this is the KJV)
The one I posted before is the NIV. They basicly say the same thing. Except the NIV does not have all of the "ths". So it makes it easier to understand.

Since God is not the author of confusion, God's will is what His Word says it is, not what you say it is. Anyway, gay-pride parades and papist altar-boy-molesting happen; are you saying that they are God's will or that there's no need to worry about them?

I don't think that they Bible addresses abuse directly, does it?
Oh no! People have free will, and they do as they please. Not as God would want. (not everyone mind you) But in the end, (when God comes home) His plan will be fulfilled.

Then you admit that the distinction that you draw has no basis in Scripture.

One could say the same thing about your going to college. False Christians who think that they get to have it both ways don't fool us, and they won't fool God either.

I guess. So, are you saying that my father didn't really abuse my mother, sister and I?

Everything you father did was for a reason. He probably slapped you around for facing east, not wanting you to become a hellbound Mooselimb.
A young lady's smile, even innocently given to friends, can lead to lustful thoughts. Proper young ladies should always avert their eyes, cover their faces, and blush in shame before smiling at others.
You and your mother have both sinned against God. It is probably for this reason that God chose to smite your sister.
You are very fortunate to be a student at Liberty. Here at Landover, I think you would have to spend some time in the Girls' Reformatory before allowing you to interact with the True Christian students at Landover U.

I'm slightly concerned, Doris, about how distrustful of authority you are.
Do you think people who run around questioning authority will be in Heaven?

You have made a glaring mistake here missy. The difference between the KJV1611 Bible and the NIV is dramatically bigger than "making it easier to understand." I know for a fact the they do not use any false Bibles at Liberty University. There is only one TRUE Bible, and that is the KJV1611 Authorized Version.
First Harry Potter goth nicknames, then whining about your Godly father's Bible-based discipline, then "massage" classes that don't exist (I checked), and now false Bible quotations......
I have a question for you, and before answering it I want you to study the link provided. Are you washed in HIS blood?
Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:
Hypocrites (Matthew 24:51), The Unforgiving (Mark 11:26), Homosexuals (Romans 1:26, 27), Fornicators (Romans 1:29), The Wicked (Romans 1:29), The Covetous (Romans 1:29), The Malicious (Romans 1:29), The Envious (Romans 1:29), Murderers (Romans 1:29), The Deceitful (Romans 1:29), Backbiters (Romans 1:30), Haters of God (Romans 1:30), The Despiteful (Romans 1:30), The Proud (Romans 1:30), Boasters (Romans 1:30), Inventors of evil (Romans 1:30), Disobedient to parents (Romans 1:30), Covenant breakers (Romans 1:31), The Unmerciful (Romans 1:31), The Implacable (Romans 1:31), The Unrighteous (1Corinthians 6:9), Idolaters (1Corinthians 6:9), Adulterers (1Corinthians 6:9), The Effeminate (1Corinthians 6:9), Thieves (1Corinthians 6:10), Drunkards (1Corinthians 6:10), Reviler (1Corinthians 6:10), Extortioners (1Corinthians 6:10), The Fearful (Revelation 21:8), The Unbelieving (Revelation 21:8), The Abominable (Revelation 21:8), Whoremongers (Revelation 21:8), Sorcerers (Revelation 21:8), All Liars (Revelation 21:8)

I respect authority.
They do have massage classes. How did you "check". Your sources may be wrong.
I have been going to a Christian therapist for about 2 years now, and even she says that my father was abusive.
However, I think that what you all are saying is a very good point! That he was doing it out of love and ment well.

And at Liberty they allow any version of the Bible. NIV,KJV,NASB...etc..
And at LCA (Liberty Christian Academy) they allow the same. Even the Bible classes are supplied with the NASB version.

Then every student and teacher at LU is hellbound. You are obviously not washed in His blood.
Ask your teachers if they know about the seven easy ways of telling the true Bible from the false ones.
I suppose next you'll claim that reading "Harry Potter" is allowed.

They allow the students to read as they choose. But they certainly do not incourge reading Harry Potter at all!!

It saddens me to see formerly righteous Christian schools turning to the devil.
Brothers and sisters, can you believe that Bob Jones university recently decided to allow inter-racial dating, strictly forbidden by the Bible, because the IRS and some cathylicks and joos on the Supreme Court took away their tax exemption?
Now Bob Jones has gone all the way down Satan's slippery slope - take a look at the first photo that flashes by on their website - http://www.bju.edu/
I fear that Landover U. is the only True Christian school left.

Where in the Bible does it say that inter-racial dating is wrong?
I am not saying that it does not, I just really don't know.
Sir, are you saying that Liberty is not a Christian school?
