Birthday for Basilissa - A Poem

Lots of guys would love to kissa
The woman known as Basilissa
Her spiritual purity is never in doubt
She makes the devil scream and shout

She had the chance to be my bride
A gift for which many would have lied
But now she's unwed and filled with gloom
Washing her dishes, pushing her broom

I hope your day is full of surprises
And that you might see when the new sun rises
If you had been wiser, less daft in all of this
You could have had a hot young gnathologist.

I am truly humbled by your comparison of my amateur ramblings to the inspired verse of Julia Moore. It would be false modesty if I said there is no link between her poetry and mine - we obviously have been gifted with God's poetry pen. I give all the glory, however, to the Lord Jesus.


You've put an idea in my head. I will put an anthology of my writings together and have it ready in time for the Christmas season. All proceeds will be donated to Landover. Oh, Glory! This might just be the thing that puts an airplane in Pastor's driveway. Of course, you'll have to move your car.
