Oh, why thou exalt yourself as a pastor if Jeremiah 10:2 "doesn't make sense" to you? That's ok, do not despair. The Bible has many ways to say the same thing. Try this, is it more clear? -

Jer 7:18 The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger.

If you still don't get it, it could be because "the wicked will not understand". But humble yourself before God and pray that he gives you understand
