Yes to Salvation Army every week. You certainly like to judge other people. Would you have judge Corrie Ten Boom for being in Prison? Or Saint Paul for being poor and in prison? These two were serving the Lord, their lives were not comfortable by any means. Or what about Job when three friends accused him being unfaithful to God, and home, wealth and health was wiped out?

It was used as profanity. Bible clearly states the used of profanity is sign of evil heart.

Again, I would ask that you support your claims. I do believe that I have sufficiently debunked your copypasta already, so perhaps you would be so gracious as to provide an argument of your own genuine creation (preferably citing specific verses in context that forbid general profanity). If not, then it would behove you to make a full apology to Brother V for this confusion and for insulting well-respected members of the Landover community after they have shown you their full good graces.

I did not insult anyone Ms Jenny D. Nor did insult Mr. Brasil.
Jesus clearly states in scripture, bless those who curse you, bless and curse not. Apparently you Ms Jenny D never read the scripture.
Why are you against John Chick's Tract? It is the gospel in comic form. It shows people how to be saved.
Answer all questions, my brother John never judges anyone when people asked for prayers from him. He preached his first sermon when he was nineteen.

Corrie Ten Boon -
08-22-2008, 02:15 AM
Who is Corrie Ten Boon?
Cornelia Johanna Arnolda ten Boom, generally known as Corrie ten Boom, ( April 15, 1892 – April 15, 1983) was a Dutch, Christian Holocaust survivor who helped many Jews escape the Nazis during World War II. Ten Boom co-wrote her autobiography, The Hiding Place, which was later made into a movie of the same name. In December, 1967, Ten Boom was honored as one of the Righteous Among the Nations by the State of Israel.
Corrie knew many in Haarlem, thanks to her charitable work, and remembered a couple who had a developmentally disabled daughter. For about twenty years, Corrie ten Boom had run a special church service program for such children, and knew the family. The father was a civil servant who was by then in charge of the local ration-card office. She went to his house unannounced one evening, and he seemed to know why. When he asked how many ration cards she needed, "I opened my mouth to say, 'Five,'" Ten Boom wrote in The Hiding Place. "But the number that unexpectedly and astonishingly came out instead was. 'One hundred.'"
The Germans arrested the entire Ten Boom family on February 28, 1944 at around 12:30 with the help of a Dutch informant. They were sent first to Scheveningen prison (where her father died ten days after his capture), then to the Vught political concentration camp (both in the Netherlands), and finally to the notorious Ravensbrück concentration camp in Germany in September 1944, where Corrie's sister Betsie died. Before she died she told Corrie "There is no pit so deep that God's love is not deeper still." Corrie was released on Christmas Day of December 1944.

Only if he can prove with use the scripture and his own use Hell was not used for profanity? but it was adjective describing description against John Chick's Gospel Tract?
Why is Brother V against John Chick's Gospel Tract?
If this was a true Baptist site this site would be rated G not PG nor R or X. The language would be clean and pure.

I would just like to preface this to say that I am truly sorry if I come off as being far too hard on you for what should be a relatively simple thing, especially considering the circumstances (my condolences to your father and brother, by the way), but I do want to see that you can full well support your own claims. If you can, then that is splendid and I would gladly concede, but any who is not prepared to fulfil his or her burden of proof should not be debating in the first place.
That being said, Brother V does not have to defend his actions unless and until such a time that you give reason for him to do so. In this instance and context, this would mean citing specific verses from scripture that incriminate or cast suspicion on his post. And so until you can do so, he--as the negative--does not have to justify himself, but only show that your claims are flawed.

However, the Bible is not entirely non-violent itself. In many places, it does advocate stoning individuals to death among other harsh penalties for various infractions. Those here do have rather a tendency to glorify such passages and harp on them in particular, but that does not by any means tarnish their validity.

Who is Job -
08-22-2008, 02:35 AM
Who is Job?
Job is described as a rich, blessed man who fears God and lives righteously. Satan, however, challenges Job's integrity, and so it is revealed to Satan by God that Job exceeded the protective hedge with the word "behold". In effect, God says that Job is outside His protective boundary, resulting in tragedy for Job: the loss of his children, wealth, and physical soundness. The main portion of the text consists of the discourse of Job and his three friends concerning why Job was so punished, ending in God answering Job. The Lord blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning and he lived 140 years (Job 42:10,17).

Brother V cannot and will not explain himself to the use hell to John Chick Gospel Tract. I cannot understand him never heard of John Chick Gospel Tract, they have been around for forty years and is seen in many Bible Book Stores usually they are free. They show many people in how to be saved from wraith of God.
I never heard any Christian group of any denomination against John Chick Gospel Tract until I found this site to when I had ask for a simple prayer request for brother John and my dad Jack who was a choir minister and a deacon for many years for a Baptist Church.
I still stand on my statement about profanity I had posted with scripture, take it or leave. You are either for the Bible or you are not.

Chick Publiccations -
08-22-2008, 03:30 AM
http://www.beliefnet.com/story/33/story_3388_1.html
The force behind Chick Publications is Jack Chick, a WW II veteran who underwent a powerful conversion experience while listening to a revival radio show. Launched from that rocket pad, his work has a revival-tent flavor, and it steps on people's toes, as evidenced by the proliferation of divine revelation sites. In the 1980s, Canada's attorney general called for a countrywide ban on the tracts. Still the comic tracts keep pouring out, and haven't stopped for 36 years.
The tracts are designed to solve a specific problem. Although Jesus commanded his followers to try to convert others to the faith. But if they can be anonymous--leave a tract on a restaurant table under the tip, or in the back pocket of an airline seat--they'll do it. The whole Chick strategy is to get ordinary Christians to fulfill "the Great Commission" by enabling them to do it in their safety zone. If you've ever picked up a Chick tract, it's likely some shy evangelist left it there in hopes you would read it and become saved.
Brother V must never been to a Bible Book store and never noticed them usually they are by the Bible Book Store cashier and they are free.

Some publication say John Chick and some publication say Jack Chick on the gospel comic tract.
Chick tracts end with a suggested prayer for the reader to pray to accept Christ Jesus. In most of these tracts it is a standard sinner's prayer for salvation.

Is Brother V from Canada by any chance? Is this why he against Jack Chick Gospel Tract.
My brother John will passed these Jack Chick Gospel Tract to people,where-ever he goes, spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. He is following the Great commandment to tell people about Jesus, who died for our sins and arose from the dead. He is pays his tithes to Salvation Army every week and he pays great deal more around Christmas Time. I myself am Salvation Army Bell Ringer. I enjoy doing this to help others who are in need.
http://www.talkjesus.com/scriptural-...profanity.html
Matthew 15:1:1 "Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man."
Matthew 15:17-20: "Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?
18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.
19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:
20 These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man. "
Jesus taught in the Bible that when a man curses or uses profanity it is a sign of evil that was in that man's heart. It is popular today for both men and women to curse. They never think of it as an evil condition in their heart, but rather a small thing that everyone does. These small words of cursing the Bible says, will defile the whole man if they are not repented of and stopped. Cussing and using the name of the Lord in vain causes one to become defiled.
Matthew 5:37: "But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil."
Psalm 19:14: "Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer."
The word "Hell" used away from its religious context was long considered to be profanity, particularly in North America.
Although its use was commonplace in everyday speech and on television by the 1970s, many people in the US still consider it somewhat rude or inappropriate language, particularly involving children.
