Since the Missus passed, I've kept in practice by using CDD to keep the house staff in line. I want to keep my whip-hand strong for when God delivers the next future Missus to my door.
I use punishment spankings, maintenance spankings, get-her-attention shock collar buzzes, chastity-belt-to-remind-them-not-to-be-shameless-hussies control, panel-gags-to-remain-divinely-silent, and locking ballet boots to encourage graceful & thoughtful movement. I've progressed past boot camp, now having them receive better guidance through a Guantanamo Bay inspired month long camp quarterly. I've found it keeps the staff perfectly in line, and can't wait for a new wife to lovingly subject this perfected system to.

Well, that's an awfully compelling argument, caityy! But I must say, between your encouragement and the LORD's advice to not let a vulnerable soul stray into Hell, I have to admit, I'm going with the LORD on this. Bruises don't last for eternity, after all.

I hope your wife (or ex-wife now) goes to the police. Also, if they find this on your computer it's pretty substantial evidence that you're guilty.

Evidence that a Christian was following his religion.
Or do you think people should not have religious freedom?
Have you even read the constitution and the Amendments?

So you want her to disobey the Bible, which commands her to serve her husband as she would serve Christ? Yeah, you're such a "Christian".

Such a great and eye opening story. How have you two been since? I know that this was posted a long time ago so im curious on how things are now. Hopefully well.
Its good to see a man do what he needs to in the eys of the Lord.
When men strive together one with another, and the wife of the one draweth near for to deliver her husband out of the hand of him that smiteth him, and putteth forth her hand, and taketh him by the secrets. Then thou shalt cut off her hand, thine eye shall not pity her. Deuteronomy 25:11-12

While freedom of religion is permitted by law, assault and abuse is not in the same way that human sacrifice is illegal even as part of a religious ceremony.

Well, maybe if he loved her like Christ loved the church this would be a valid argument.
And no, not everything on the internet is true but if this went to court and the original post was used as evidence it would be hard to argue against. You should maybe apply some intelligence before mocking others.

And assault and abuse only exist in the eyes of the law when the victim says that's what happened. Otherwise, what happens between two consenting adults is no business of the state's (or internet busybodies like you).
As for trying to equate anything discussed here to human sacrifice, that's a fallacy (unsure which exact variety, I'm sure someone will educate us). Using fallacious arguments only makes your case look weak.

Would you have preferred he killed his wife, as Jesus killed Ananias and Sapphira, elements of his church, for their insolence?

Apparently she didn't consent. Also, in the hypothetical situation that she had gone to the police then that would have meant, by your logic, that assault and abuse would have happened.
And concerning your problem with my comparison with human sacrifice, it was being argued that this should be allowed because it was an expression of the Christian faith therefore I showed a parallel with something else which could be considered religious expression but is still illegal. If you want a different comparison then lets say someone believes clothing is morally wrong. Public nudity is still illegal.

This man told his wife that they were making radical changes in their life with little or no real justification for it, including the massive financial sacrifice of selling her company, and when she questioned him he resorted to violence and lost control of himself.

But, she didn't, so it doesn't, and you have, let's see, nothing. Bupkes. Nada. Zero. Zilch.
No victim = no crime. Ask any cop.

It smells (to me) like a Strawman argument, in that you're misrepresenting your opponent's position in order to have an easier target to argue against, combined with a slippery slope argument (if they argue that A is true, then they have to agree that something much more extreme than A is true), and the ever-so-wonderful moral high ground fallacy. But those kinds of analyses are much more Mr. White's specialty, so maybe he'll be along to enlighten us.
Until then, please read this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_fallacies

Maybe in Mexico, about 600 years ago, and we're not in Mexico 600 years ago. At least, I'm pretty sure we're not. Ask me again after I've had some coffee.

When you follow the commands of the LORD, you walk the Walk of the Righteousness (Proverbs 8:19-20), you can recognize spiritual theft and hidden deception for wisdom will be yours (Proverbs 9:10). McManus was called on by God to put his money where his mouth is, as they say, and apply his faith in a practical manner. That is to say, he was called to be the hands and feet of Jesus, or hands and fists in this case.

Okay, I think I can start to see where you got this from except you seem to have completely misunderstood what I wrote. Christ loved the church by dying for her and offering her eternal life, not by suddenly losing his cool and then saying that God made him do it on the internet.

You're mistaken if you think Jesus never utilized force to clean house. Remember the money changers (John 2:15)? Mr. McManus employed the same technique. Remember the Old Testament? Jesus was there, too. You just don't like it because your worldview has been polluted by feminism, the belief that God made women to control a police state and enforce a goddess cult. True Christians™, on the other hand, know women were created to be help meets to our husbands (Genesis 2:18), and we are not satisfied until we fulfill our natural instincts to submit and serve (Colossians 3:18 ).
